The entire idea of the “original sin” never sat right with me either. Even IF Adam & Eve were real and commited a horrible crime by eating the Forbidden Apple that God (deliberatly and temptingly) put there, why would you punish their children for it, let alone ALL of humanity FOREVER? I for one don’t recall ever signing a legally binding contract (while I was of sound mind) that allowed Adam & Eve to be my representatives for every divine judgement… “Sins of the Father” is arguably one of the WORST ideas of the Christian beliefs, and that’s saying something.
Besides, if God is supposedly timeless and omniscient, he SHOULD have known beforehand that Eve would fail his rigged “test” and yet god still did it. So the game was blatantly rigged against humanity since before it even began. How in any way is that just?
If you ask me, in no logical, sane universe can any eternal, omnipotent, & omniscient being be as capricious as a mortal and still function. If there is something like a god, it’s likely incomprehensible in its thought processess, completely neutral and distant, or an “almighty idiot” with no agency (a force that is purely id and instinct or even a slave to its own omniscience). Maybe even all of the above. I personally find that idea very fascinating and plausible, but I digress.
Regardless, may Ken Ham and everyone who spreads such cowardly treachery to humankind be forever tormented by Fek’lhr in the depths of Gre'thor, the dishonorable petaQ!
