Still, keep in mind that dogs have periodic estrus; the rest of the time, sex/reproduction just isn’t on their mind. Someone apparently hasn’t heard that one Pizzagate adherent put his money where his mouth was and actually made a rescue attempt. He had firearms, yes, but he wasn’t exactly eager to use them, as the “no casualties” part should attest—he just wasn’t stupid about what kind of security this sort of alleged operation would have. But most importantly, he had enough presence of mind to realize that there had never been any torture site, and so freely turned himself over for his misdeeds. (Hopefully his lawyer made sure he only ended up with misdemeanors on his record.)

I don’t think the willingness to do, not just believe, and his ability to acknowledge his mistake are unconnected. For all his gullibility, he still understood that orthodoxy is useless without orthopraxis, and that any orthopraxis worth the name will be able to acknowledge capacity for error. The rest of you need to learn from that.

Anyway, let’s start with the Pleiades being particularly young stars—apparently only about 100,000,000 years old. Sol has them greatly beat. In fact, since we’re talking stars that only really congealed during the Cretaceous Era, expecting spacefaring sapients from them already is asking a bit much. On top of that, HD 23514 is the only star there with any evidence of planets—and its magnitude of 14 (i.e. very faint from here) makes me think that’s not one of the Pleiades you’re thinking of as life-bearing.

(Always northern stars, I note, never southern stars like Beta Horologii, to use a pretty random pick. How come?)

He thinks the King James Version must be utterly and completely correct just like the original texts because it’s based on the Antioch manuscripts, rather than the Alexandria manuscripts. Despite the translators themselves admitting that it probably wasn’t that good.

I’m also surprised that he doesn’t count the earlier Tyndale and Douay-Rheims translations, even if they had Catholic auspices. Maybe he thinks El couldn’t care less about the English (despite the English Anselm of Canterbury being the one to formalize the idea of substitutionary atonement) until Protestantism took root there?

I’m not sure which part(s) of the Bible the mistranslated phrase “mercy seat” appears in, although if not the New Testament, then he’d better be prepared to explain why the Jews don’t have that concept. But he’s of the opinion that after the Crucifixion, Jesus needed to enter Heaven physically to anoint said mercy seat with the blood from his wounds, else El still wouldn’t permit any to be saved.

I don’t pretend to know why even after the “purchase” of humanity with Jesus’s death/shed blood, El still insisted on a ritual like this. How does Stewart think El thinks?

Not that I have any idea what actually is held by Beale and his ilk to be objective from God’s perspective, besides God himself. That’s probably “not real” in the sense of “ephemeral”/“not eternal”. A sense of not being genuinely intrinsic, else they’d be static?

If there’s anything (besides wishful thinking and its ilk, anyway) that leads me to suspect spiritual qualities to the mind, it’s continuity of perception. I would expect that each cell in the brain has a Ship of Theseus situation as degraded elements are swapped out for fresh replacement materials, like other cells. However, if all the material eventually gets swapped out, then why does our perception remain unbroken? (I suppose it can be called a mystery of consciousness, or at least sapience.) Is there something that can’t be swapped out that’s doing central perception/reasoning?

Besides, my best friend (lineage is basically half Polish, half Canadian French)? She married a very calm man (Hindi-American, by the way—and not short, despite the stereotype). I know he’s calm because she used that terminology to describe how one of her daughters takes after him. He’s a Baha’i (like her), and since sex equality is a major cornerstone of that faith’s philosophy, you can probably see how little use he has for subjugating her. Although from the few times we met, he probably didn’t need to know of Baha’i to be domination-averse.

So please, go on, explain why women are incapable of desiring anyone other than a ruthless dominator with bad cases of yang overdose beyond those descriptors. Humanity as a whole needs to partake more of yin, anyway.

More than that, there might be a question of whether the kind of accord you imply should be possible can even appear with beings without omniscience. Every distinct being has a slightly different vantage point, after all, so they’ll have different information—the source of at-least-brief clashes, or at least uncertainty. Outside of a Hive Mind (read: no individuality), such schism et al. is guaranteed.

So there’s now a question of whether a creator who wanted their created beings to have full individuality and distinctiveness—to not be a Hive Mind—would have to be either insane of greatly flawed.
