I have no suggestions on what the Cheneys should do in this situation, but I can tell you what I did.
I have a gay daughter and have been loving and accepting of her and her partner, but not of their lifestyle. We have made clear our opinions, but my wife and I do not make life uncomfortable for them because of our opinions.
When they announced that they were going to try and get pregnant, we sat them down and explained our position. We explained why we believed that children should have a mother and a father and told them that, should they go though with this, we would sue for custody of our grandchild. We assured them that living in the South that we had a better than even chance of winning.
Though they were not happy with our decision, they still visited and were welcomed and we have always been welcomed at their home. They thought of moving elsewhere but didn't like any of the places with more liberal laws. (A lesson in how liberalism ruins a place) It has now been eight years and still no babies.

* Unless all embryos made in an IVF procedure are used, some children are murdered.
* Research should be made into birthing tanks. This could lead to the end of all abortions.
* A supposed "right to choose" most definitely does not supersede a human's right to life--once God has given that privilege to that human.
* As life is a gift from God--and God still is the owner of that life--euthanasia is also bad. Human creatures do not have the right to take any life that is not theirs--including "their" life (the life God gave them)--unless it is for reasons of self-defense.
The only human who had the right to take a life for non-self-defense reasons was Christ. God had the right to take God's own life as a sacrifice to pay for the lives all human creatures. Just as God had the power to rise again so that all human creatures can rise again.
* As for children with huge "defects:" God has a reason for everything which comes to pass--it isn't for human creatures to contest God's decisions why God chose for some people to have extreme autism, downs syndrome, physical deformities, etc. God chose to give those human creatures life, and their lives are equal in value to every other human creature.

The theory of evolution does not allow for the Holy Bible, or miracles including the miracle of Creation, the miracle of life, etc, or God our Creator, or Jesus Christ, or Christianity, Judaism, etc.
The Declaration of Independence is therefore also a lie. If there is no Creator, our rights cannot possibly have come from God. In other words, we have no unalienable rights. Our rights would only be what the government allows us.
The Declaration would be null and void and the founding would have been based on lies rather than "these truths we hold self-evident."
The first amendment would simply be a cruel joke. The Bill of Rights would have no foundation on truth or unalienable rights from God and that would also make the entire Constitution of the United States null and void. Cancer surgery is a big money maker for the surgeon, but is is a bad choice for the patient. Cancer is best cured by natural means, and those means should be guided by prayer, not the PDR. Western medicine is unable to cure anything. Diabetes is a good example; they just get rich pumping them full of dangerous drugs, rather than correcting their diet and using the very effective herbal treatments.

You've got me laughing now! - I often work in shorts and a T-shirt, and get cut up by brush and sharp rocks all the time, and never do anything about it until the end of the day when I have to wash up to look civilized. I've never gotten any infections from cuts of scrapes that are left to bleed - ever.

It's a lie from the pit of hell. That is diametrically opposite from what the word tells us.

I think that what you're missing on this is that the general public is aware that evolutionism is religion, even more than creation,and they don't want either in the schools.
Evolution is holding biology back severely, and the two are not even really related. Evolution is a political/philosophical point of view, and Americans recognize that 2:1 by most polls. Why can't we just spend our science money on science? Why does a science class have to provide indoctrination? At this point the cream of the crop in life sciences mostly reject evolution, and don't waste time and efort on it; could that be why they're more productive?
So our choices are: magic, superstition, wishful thinking, divine revelation, old wives tales, folklore, what the stars foretell and what the neighbors think, omens, public opinion, spells, ouija boards, anecdotes, tarot cards, sorcery, naturalism, seances, black cats, table tipping, witch doctors, divination, "miracles," the unguessable verdict of history, hoodoo, voodoo, and a host of other un-natural phenomena.
What makes naturalism the best choice of these again?

The answer lies in civilizing these tribals, through conversion to Christianity. It is a simple prescription, but has worked for 2000 years. Exisitence of such savage behavior is directly proportional to the absence of Christianity.
