Im sure your right, I would just prefer to keep myself out of situations like Korea unless I were there to take care of buisness (which will never happen, because we couldent even take care of buissnes in the korean war, the last time we took care of buisness was Japan in WW2 and that will likely never happen again, instead we will send thousands of our own brothers and sisters to be killed by people who are not worth the change in my pocket).

The actions of the Korean government are a result of buisness not being taken care of for to long and as long as everyone wants to tip toe through the tulips it will only get worse. The same oppressive mentality is slowly creeping into the USA.

Sure, maybe it would be a form of mind control. But then you wouldn't know any better after it was done that way.

Think of it this way. In my human state I can hold out hope that God has a loophole to save the unsaved. That makes me happy now. However, after I die it turns out that there is no loophole and God simply rewrites my mind. I'm still happy because I'm ignorant of any loss.

Either way, God fulfills his word that there will be no more sadness in heaven.

I hate nature. I dont mind global warming, it is too cold now, besides after global warming is global cooling. Even the most radical global warmers say that humans may barely be effecting the earth but not sure because the earth goes on diff. paths every trillion yrs. or some crap.

70 degree weather in Chicago will not kill nobody. In charlotte we been below avg. except the past week. We hit All time record los about 6 times the past 2 months.In MID SEPTEMBER, or early october{ forgot date} it was in the TEENS with VERY COLD WIND chill and cooling radiation making it feel like the single digits. Worse of all I was at a race. are car got Ice on it.

Today and yesterday it was in the 70's in Charlotte. Usually it is in the high 40's, but the AVG. is 57 degrees for december. We been on the cool side. Are cold season is from Late JAN. through FEB.

Whatever that had to do with the topic, back to it.
No i am not eco-family. I hate the enviroment. I like 85- 100 degree weather. and I am not willing to pay Way more money to drive a car that runs off sugar, ir walk to school .

I was a student in Chile during this era. I can tell you flat out everyone on this forum who defends Allende would have prefered Pinochet in they were in country on the ground as I was (unless a person has no conscious and wanted to be in the ranks of elite communists who were looting the country and creating the same type of two class system we saw in the Soviet Empire).

Btw...under Truman America started the policy of supporting authoritarian dictators, if needed, in order to prevent an expansion of socialist totalitarianism. That was our policy all during the cold war. Of course some dissented from it. They supported the totalitarians in the Soviet Union. The names are well known: ACLU director Corliss Lamont, "Independent" journalist Izzy Stone, Carl Bernstein's faither Albert, New Republic publisher and member of the Cambridge Spy Ring Michael Whitney Straight, George Bernard Shaw, Lillian Hellman, Julius Rosenberg, Joel Barr, 11 term U.S. Congressman Samuel Dickstein (D-NY) New York Times reporters Walter Duranty, Herbert Matthews, Harold Denny, Anthony Lewis...the list goes on and on.

Its no wonder considering the cast which took the other side in the Cold War the the history of the Allende era has been so twisted.

America was the villian. The CIA was involved in the coup. But what about the Soviets? What about the thousands of agents from communist regimes who flooded into Chile the day after Allende squeaked out a plurality? Why no concern about that? Those agents represented the most brutal regimes the world has ever seen.

Perhaps you weren't aware, but rape is already legal, provided the victim is a minor and the rape is done by a medical professional at the behest of the minor's parents or the state. In fact, this goes on every day - every time someone wants to "prove" that a minor was a victim of sexual assault, without regard to the minor's feelings about the matter.

(Yes, of course, the "professionals" use only their hands and various objects, but "rape" is really about sexual violation, rather than the specific means.)

Of course, it could become widespread in a hurry - I seem to recall a few years ago that there was a pilot program in which ALL elementary school girls in one town were given gynocological examinations - whether they wanted them or not. The girls had been given consent forms to have their parents sign them - but when the day came for the exams, it made no difference whether the parents had consented or not. The purported purpose of the program was (ironically enough) to protect girls from sexual abuse by identifying girls who had been sexually active - and so these "child advocates" sexually abused girls to prevent the sexual abuse of girls. Fortunately, widespread outrage in the community stopped that program shortly after it started, but the fact that it could even be considered demonstrates the lengths to which fanatics will go in order to force their will on others.

OK, you are living, say, in the time right after Babel, where all languages were divided, as well as the spiritual seperated from the physical. The continent you are on is moving half way across the world, though it might be noticeable, other things have happened as well. Like life spans suddenly started to decrease, maybe some thing different in the stars, and plants now take a coon's age to grow, causing, perhaps a lot of hunger, and readjustment. (Wait a minute, I think we saw some of that in the Old Kingdom of Egypt, no?).
Now, if I had the time to write aunt Lou, and somehow float the message in a bottle across the planet to her continent, I would reralize we can't communicate any more! So, we might resort to picture words. Hey, that sounds again like ancient Egypt?!!!
Now, being only a century after the flood of Noah, and the ice age going on as well, etc, why, I think we should not expect a well documented, written record.

Monies wasted on junk science like SETI, the Superconducting Super Collider, and various NASA projects could feed the homeless.

In addition, students in schools and colleges and universities wouldn't be wasting time learning evolution, and scientists themselves would be spending much more time doing research in other areas.

Monies spent on the Hubble Telescope could have been used to finance missionary work throughout the world.

People would worry much less about this earth being vaporized by an asteroid and other junk doomsday ideologies by realizing that God is in control of everything.

In short, the vacuum left by deleting evolution from our vocabulary could be filled with many major edifying projects.

I used to be an unbeliever so I know what it means to not be able to believe in God. But the difference between me and atheists is that I could see my own contradictions as an unbeliever and atheists can't.

If they could, they would see that their lack of beliefs depends on changing history and denying intelligent design which would mean that everything would be based on chance and unpredictable. That contradicts the laws of nature that sicencists rely on and it contradicts logic itself. So the fact that atheists can't see that, then it really isn't possible to have logical conversations with them. But people who are honest with themselves can see where their logic is faulty and why they need a redeemer.

I can imagine that there are people who go though a period of time in their life where they may question God. But I can not image anyone living their whole life without God being a part of it.

Even the grand martial Dawkins himself opens his presentation with an announcement that God is a "Delusion". Then he steadys himself for the inevitable lightening bolt that is going to come flashing out of the sky. But when nothing happens, then he breathes a sigh of relief and gets on with trying to promote his book.

Dawkins know what he can get away with and what he can not get away with. Just like the ocean has a limit, so humans have their limits and they have a boundry in what God will allow them to do.

It is frightening that the ignorance of science costs so many lives. In fact it is reported to be the third leading cause of death. Science is a powerful weapon that is quick to kill if your not careful with it. You had better be careful who you trust and who you believe, because it could cost you your life or the life of a loved one. As your post seems to point out that ignorance on the part of science can cost people their lives. It is interesting to note that when science goes out on strike then less people end up dieing during that period of time. Perhaps they do more harm then good, but they just lie to people to try and deceive them into thinking they are getting help, so that "science" can get into their wallet and get their money. So if you see a evolutionary scientist heading in your direction the best course of action maybe to grab your money and run the opposite direction.

[How influential are demons in hard rock and roll?]

my small experience with demons in music which lasted up until I was 22 years old (then I became a christian), is demons, were taken only a little bit seriously, mostly done for shock value and to look cool in certain cases, and maybe looking for some power and philosophy to get by better in life (or get revenge). many do worship demons, I used to worships some demons in the music scene, but the violence I personally witnessed in life was extremely traumatic also, so music was not the only thing that let demons in. When I lived in Las Vegas years ago, I was exposed to drive-by shootings in school, gang violence and drug dealers, and sexual assault before I was even a teenager, and I started copying those things at home for some reason. parents weren't helpful back then either.

teen years grew worse, there were many suicidal people and even murderous people in my relationships, and cutting and violence. the demons in music I believe contributed a little bit, but it seemed cumulative to the other demons going on, with family violence, neglect, violent tv shows, etc. I am sure many people in prison have demons, from what I've seen I think they unwittingly have them.

Demons can be transferred one to another. And I do believe that they can transferred through sex. Think about when you commit the act of sex with someone you are physically binding yourself to that person. And hence accepting everything of that person into yourself. Including their demons.

By the force of the flow of water over soft sediment (take the eroding of the Grand Canyon as an example) the animals that might have perished in the various layers would get washed out only this time that would get reburied in the reverse order to what they were originally ie the last buried would be the first to get washed out and then find itself at the bottom of the new pile of debris
