They were most likely loaded into Noah's ark just like all the other animals, there certainly was plenty of room for them (babies). They were generally just too big to live on the transformed Earth. Before the flood there was a canopy of mist that covered the earth and made plants grow in abundance that these big animals could eat, but after the flood it was clear skies which could not support food so well year round, so they died in regards to the largest ones. For the rest, just like any animal, there is a danger of extinction due to the sin of Adam which had consequences for all creation. God didn't create death, that is a result of sin, the sin that Adam commited, so animals die since then as well as does man.

So I've been married a month, and we've only had it 2 times, neither was long lived. The second time, my husband later told me, made him feel like a rapist because I was crying.

This is going to get me hated by some... but here we go again... God gives women and men DIFFERENT rules to follow. The Bible is clear as a bell in this area. Much of this is in Genesis where it basically tells women 'obey your husbands.' It also tells husband to 'love your wife.' There are many other areas where the differences are clearly delineated between the sexes. We are judged based on what we do or fail to do. If your spouse fails Biblically it is no license for you to do likewise and vice versa.

ON the romance and opposite gender issues that you have i will have to disagree with you. As a Male, if i were to live with another female it would be a terrible disaster for me in terms of i would create an atmosphere of lust and that would just be bad. But God does have obervable effects. Let me tell you three very observable effects God has had in my experience, and you refute them if you can:
1) I was a smoker for a long time. I told God that I was sorry, but it was one thing I truly loved to do and that HE would need to scare me out of it if He needed me to quit. The next day I woke up with nasty blisters filled with puss all over my tonsils! I then promised I wouldn't touch any more cigarettes, and I woke up the next day and they were gone!
2) My husband and I had to hire a lawyer for $10,000.00. We had already paid him $5,000.00 and I called him to tell him that we had another $2000.00 for him... so immediately (you know how lawyers are) he called and made an appointment for us to come in. On the way, my dh and I prayed that he would cut us a break because we needed the money. The first thing our lawyer said when we got into his office was, "Don't worry, you guys are all set, you don't owe me any more." A lawyer refusing money?! There's gotta be a God.
3) And this last event occurred only a few weeks ago. I was reading my Bible in prayer... I'm early int he old Testament so no where near the NT... I asked a very specific question in prayer... I had a dream that night that Jesus pointed at my Bible and clearly said "Romans 3:6." He said it twice and I woke up. When I opened my Bible it was in exact answer to my question the night before... I've never even read Romans before!
What I'm getting at is that there are so many observable facts if you believe in God... when you open yourself up to Him you will be awestruck by the things He can do. God bless!

If we evolved, why do we procreate?
Without a telos there is actually no standard for a living creature to fulfil, no potential to reach. A telos is important to giving structure and direction to a living creature. Perhaps that is why evolutionists, although not compelled to, often describe evolution as having the purpose of "selfishly" perpetuating the genetic structure of any given organism in question.
Unfortunately, if we do take the purpose of evolution to see a given organism perpetuate its genes, two central problems arise. First, even if perpetuation is the purpose of evolution why should that perpetuate any particular organism: to perpetuate oneself is an insufficient grounds to be motivated (it only relates to one small aspect of life).
Second of the two problems that arise if evolution is supposed to give the purpose of perpetuation is how evolution is supposed to perpetuate a given organism. It is all very well to tout evolution as some phallic progentitor of procreation, but short of being an excuse to sing very well the lines "let's do it like they do on the discovery channel" what actual appeal does evolution give one who believes in it? On purely evolutionary grounds evolution itself lacks the appeal and therefore the justification it needs to survive...
These two problems compound with all the other problems associated with evolution: being unable to remember having evolved, no one choosing to evolve clones from parents and parents not reappearing as descendents despite terrific "evolutionary" advantages. In all the picture does not look good for evolution and the vast gaping whole of meaning left unaddressed can only be overcome through God.
