How long do you give before one of Makow’s agrees with Cheung that physical (and probably metaphysical) laws don’t actually exist, just God’s non-binding habits?

I suspect they think caprice is part and parcel of being answerable to none. The usual explanation like with Cheung, in any case, is that God wants to display both his love/mercy and wrath/justice (ignore for now that they’re neglecting the succoring aspect of Justice). But that’s innately contradictory with giving everyone the same fate. So there has to be a saint/reprobate divide if neither love nor wrath is to remain unknown and unglorifiable.

Putting aside whether “love” and “wrath” are even the right words in Calvinism, given the total lack of spontaneity. (I think Piper is a Calvinist?)

I don’t think nuking Israel is going to endear you to any other Levantine peoples you might want as allies. Fallout is a thing, after all. Although even beyond disliking non-Europeans in general (even if they somehow are lesser, why not help them ascend to your level so the top isn’t so lonely? Think this through for a change!), why are they focusing on just the United States going on the offensive, and not also Britain/France/Germany/etc.? Same European font, so I don’t know what the issue is.

And yes, I’m aware of American reactionaries in the 1930s whose sole negative view of Nazis was that they weren’t American.
