The idea seems to be that while the rich were happy to get debts out of God (i.e. they invited him over, so he’s now indebted in some way), they weren’t too keen on the obverse. The poor and alien, though, are not so one-sided, nor Jesus’s God.

I’d still want to make sure that God didn’t make any oversights in crafting his philosophy. Remember that at least as far as the Tanakh is concerned, God is “only” suprapotent/suprascient, not omnipotent/omniscient. I take it the giveaway to your immediate suspicion was putting “prosperity” and “sustainability” together like that? I suppose it’s one thing if by Prosperity they just mean “no penury”, but I have noticed that these sorts of hyper-claims tend to look to a 1900s-1950s idea of everyone having a palace with all the toppings. Without being multi-generation.

Putting aside people who’d find palaces anti-cozy. Or infinitely prefer bird feeders to even one rhodium plating, let alone rhodium-plated everything.

I’m a little surprised Liberia isn’t at the list up top, considering how it was established in the first place.

But, no deeming Africa as a whole beyond salvation, hm? (Or even in part.) For one thing, although I heard about it years ago (read: Is it still accurate?), but Botswana having extremely low corruption tendencies is definitely on the plus side. Think less corruption than even in the United States.

It’s looking like a case of him thinking the United States is somehow dissimilar to every other nation that ever existed. Some kind of sui generis Chosen Land for the Christians of Europe?

I have a feeling that when he distinguishes between his ancestors who built the nation and Chinese immigrants who helped build the railroads, he’s referring on his side to creating the governmental structures (“rightly” set in diamond ever since the Bill of Rights, I suppose–and let me know if I’m overusing “set in diamond” as a superlative form of “set in stone”, yes?). Read: No one else can lay claim to being of “true” American origin besides the descendants of the denizens up to the 1810s at latest, not for all of eternity. (Note that I’m not sure what he does with European immigrants, most notably British and German immigrants, as they’re the only origins I know of that get deemed White with any wide consistency.)
