"Beginning with assuming I'm a racist because of the color of my skin and not the content of my character.”
Based on this conversation, I would argue that the content of that character is pretty racist indeed.
“Acting fearful around Blacks is often based on self preservation, in fact, I know blacks who have told me they do the same thing when young thugs show up!”
Thugs =/= Blacks
There are white thugs, and yet, they do not claim to fear Whites based on that.
“Number one - assuming that every white person is racist. 99% of every one, irregardless of skin color, doesn't care about the skin color of everyone else.”
Thing is, you do not have to have a white pointy hat in your closet to be racist. Clichés and prejudices are prevalent among humans. It is still racism.
"white privilege"
Which exists, as it is simply the expression that a white person starts in life without the social handicap that a black person in a similar social class has. White privilege does not mean that every white person is rich and every black person is poor, it means that to attain the same social standing, a black person has to provide more efforts than the equivalent white person.
“the straightening of hair appropriating the white culture”
Reversing the actual issue here. It is not that black people are appropriating white “culture”, it is that they had to conform to a beauty standard dictated by white people, in order to be taken seriously. Confer any school regulations which prohibited hair styles typically suited to curly hair, such as nappy or afro.
“giving people jobs because of color, just for starters.”
Cool. What were the actual reasons and how sustainable were these jobs?
“I don't accept that systemic racism still exists in the US.”
Then you are fucking blind.
