I take it the Orion name isn’t actually related to the Greek original—a gigas hunter whose ultimate idea for getting Artemis romantically interested in him (no thought she might be asexual even apart from her oath?) was to hunt every creature in existence. Maybe he thought the gods would just requisition Epimetheus to make them anew, but Apollon and Gaia still disliked his scheme enough to send Skorpios to kill him first. (Read: Orion was evil enough in the original myth.)

EDIT: Come to think of it, he’s all for eugenics, but does he really expect that he can ensure boys alone will have a will to power and girls alone will have a will to serve? Meanwhile, what would it take for a future translation to be deemed by them an improvement on the KJV? It’s not the first one (Tyndale and Douay-Rheims predate it, and I doubt El would let England’s predominant Catholicism obstruct his care, at least with Isaiah’s Justice > Glory conceit in mind), and I don’t remember anyone contemporary trumpeting it as insuperable. Wonder which French, Spanish, Chinese, etc. translations they give their blessing to?
