I watched a few games of various sports over the weekend, it seems like they were all doing just fine. The NFL team I’m a fan of, the Detroit Lions, basically have selling out home games for a while now (due in no small part to the fact that they’ve been very good lately!). Ask any owner of an NFL team if they were “24 hours away from losing everything they had” lol!

The 4-year-old boy my parents sometimes babysit said a few months ago (to my mom lol) that he didn’t want to ride in the car with me any more because I have “girl hair” (about shoulder-length or a little bit longer). Though, at least he somewhat warmed up to that fact, or maybe my mom gave him a good talking-to, because he seemed to have no problem riding with me a few weeks ago. Except, it’s actually a prefix from Latin that means exactly what we’re using it for!! e.g. “Cisalpine Gaul” and “Transalpine Gaul” meaning basically “France on this side of the Alps” and “France on the other side of the Alps” respectively. From the Romans’ perspective, “Cisalpine Gaul” was what is now northern Italy, and “Transalpine” was modern-day southern France.

And is “cis” is so “mean-spirited” and “derisive” then why do I happily label myself as a “cis man”? That’s just what I am, ya know?

I remember in the 2020 debate basically all of it was bullshit but Trump said something about minimum wage that was totally inoffensive and correct. Something like “it can’t be decided federally it needs to be state by state” which is a totally true thing and one of the only things that wasn’t a lie from both sides.

That’s kinda “half true” really, at least if you’re talking about how it actually is now. There is a federal minimum wage, and individual states can set their minimum wage higher. That’s fair enough, I guess, as the cost of living does vary a lot depending on where you are, but I still think the federal minimum wage of $7.25 is ridiculously low.
