What Skide said. Yes, I see a LOT of things on tv, internet, and such that I’d greatly desire; living in a beatiful mansion in an arcadia, having the athletic physique of a tanned greek god with perfect teeth, having enough cash that I’d never have to worry about money again, being one of the greatest novel writers in the century and a master chef, having a partner so beautiful supermodels can’t compare, with breasts so big & perfect even the most expensive pornstars would be jealous.
And that’s just the things even remotely possible IRL… I’m not even talking about experiencing an Isekai myself, or living in perfect health and youth for +/-300 years, or being a Starfleet captain… But I digress.
But, thing is, I realize those things are so rare they tend to be owned exclusively by the extremely lucky 0.0001%. It’s not usual or even normal to have all of them. So it’s stupid to think you’re entitled to even any of them. That’s why it’s best to want what you have rather than have what you want.
