Bad plot aside, there’s some logical inconsistencies there I just can’t ignore.

- The bottom of the sea under an ice sheet isn’t known for being bright, so why the windows? Can’t imagine one of these pocket space things being self-illuminating.
- So this “Blue Angel” guy can shapeshift yet he still wears a mask? There’s no point in hiding his identity because he could change his face anyway. Is the mask a combat gear or a fashion statement?
- The organization that made this guy designed him to find treasures in caves? What kind of treasure would be worth such an investment? If it’s just something that doesn’t normally exist in the solar system, surely a secret space program would be cheaper and could actually be used for other purposes as well. But didn’t they have that already?

I’m from Thailand and the only thing I have to say about this is “What the fuck is this gay anal thing about?”.

There’s a female college student holding a sign during a protest saying sex workers should be legalized and a pride parade late last year, but that’s about it. I don’t think those two groups even know each other at all.

Here’s a few cultural context from a Thai that people here may like to know.
- If you follow through that link it is an opinion piece on a news site. A lot of people don’t realize that and mistake these for actual, official news. Yes, a lot of us use them to claim “here, this big media company agrees with me too” during political arguments too.
- The real thing expats here complain about is that it’s much harder to extend their visa during the virus outbreak, and they can’t fly home because of all the banning of international travel. I think this is more “inept government” than actual racism though.
- Probably unrelated to racism, but at many tourist attractions there’s a difference between Thai price and “Farang price” entry ticket fees.
- Many people believe that that bit about western tourist being killed is because the killer has connections with organized crime and bribed the police. People has always complained abut police corruption as far as I remember, but late this year it hits ACAB level with the political protests going on.
- Thai people in general are actually quite racist and nationalistic. I only realized this during the Rohinya refugee crisis where internet opinion shifted to attack a famous news person for filming aboard one of the refugee vessels and showing too much sympathy.
- Oddly enough for a generally racist country, our anti-Chinese sentiments are less “Chinese virus” and more “They’re gonna buy out our country”
