TRUMP thought that WINNING that contest was the ultimate. That he achieved the zenith by being elected, and having a nation to play with was his reward.

All the Trumpies seem to think that. Getting elected is the ultimate contest, and then once elected, the president can do as they please, order everyone in the country around, and behave as supreme rulers.

Really it’s the other way around. The election is more of a job interview process, and then once they are elected, they are supposed to serve us, and work in the best interests of the country.

I think they’ve always had this misconception of the presidency. “Oh why can’t they make so-and-so law and just force everyone to bla bla bla”. I’ve seen them say such things so many times, left AND right. I think those are the ones who voted for Obama and then voted for Trump. They could never figure out why Obama couldn’t get everything done and force it through and damn congress. Damn anyone who stood in the way. They don’t understand that’s not how our system works.

Yep they are… and they come from regions where teen pregnancy has skyrocketed since teens don’t know what it is they’re doing, they just know that it feels really good. And teens who are gay, bi, or trans feel like something is “wrong” with them, but they don’t know what it is, so they live in terror that someone will find out they’re “weird” until they either escape to somewhere else or commit suicide. And since they’re shielded from knowing about those other “evil” places and many of them won’t know there’s a place to escape to that makes suicide the most likely option.

The thing is, his fans want a dictator. Democracy has allowed things they hate to exist, and groups they hate to have rights. They want to go back to a system where they are on top, and POC, PWD, neurodivergent people, LGBT people, etc, are back on various lower levels. Basically they want a modern version of feudalism, and they want Trump to be king.

The people we have to convince are the moderate democrats. Some of them are going back to “right wing ideology isn’t serious, it’s a joke, Trump will never win, I don’t have to do anything other than maybe vote lalalalalala”. I’ve seen people saying that since the Capitol insurrection failed we don’t have to worry about them trying again, they’ve learned their lesson.

That’s what we need to fight against. We need to make them know that this is really fucking serious, this isn’t just another election. The shit they have planned if Trump wins is not just terrifying, it’s a death sentence for someone like me.

This is what’s nonsensical. Not what the trans person said, which you clearly misunderstood. Sex-based oppression is a social construct, just like femininity, masculinity, etc. Men and women are not “just born” sexist, they are taught those behaviors. There are societies where sexism is little to none.

That doesn’t mean sexism isn’t real because it 100% is. As a cis woman I’ve experienced it myself. It just wouldn’t exist without sexist societies. That is what the trans person is saying, not that sexism doesn’t exist.

If, for example, the terrorists attempted a coup against a legitimate election and stormed the Capitol, but were citizens, then the answer isn’t war but jail. However, if the terrorists came from somewhere else (say, Saudi Arabia or the Confederacy) and used airplanes as missiles and killed a few thousand people or fired on a military installation, then that is likely to result in war.

That’s not Jewish philosophy, that’s the cult individualism combined with consumer capitalism. Corporate interests want you to solely focus on the next fancy toy or service or addictive soda/snack food you want.

Also I think you are confusing “living in the present moment” with impulsivity. You say “focus on your feelings in the present moment - your wants, your desires, your lusts (and btw those words all mean the same thing they way you’re using them)” but wants are not feelings, they are just wants. What it actually means is paying to your body - what does it need, do I feel pain, do I feel joy, am I hungry or thirsty - and the situation/place you’re presently in - am I all here with the people I’m talking to or am I stressing out and focusing on something elsewhere? Am I giving my all in whatever situation I’m in? Am I experiencing my life or am I numbing myself and living in a video game or fake online world?

I don’t think you understand the concepts you’re talking about but that’s not a shock considering the other stuff I’ve seen you write.

Not always - a lot of times men die soon after their wives die, but wives don’t always die soon after their husbands. It has to do with who takes care of whom in our society. Husbands, especially of older generations, haven’t always known how to take care of themselves without their wives doing a lot of the work. Women, however, are usually taught how to cook and clean etc so they actually sometimes see their health improve after their husbands die as they don’t have anyone else to take care of and have more time for leisure activities (speaking of caregivers). Of course this isn’t always the case, it’s more a general trend.
