“Islam is advancing rapidly and is now the second-largest religion in Europe, while Christianity is shrinking steadily due to plummeting birth rates and apostasy.”
It has been for a long time, what with the efforts by christians to eradicate Jews.
Also, this is somewhat misleading, as it puts under the umbrella of christianity strands which do not preach the same things and cannot stand each other. One could argue that the protestant, catholic and orthodox churches are not quite the same religion.
As for “apostasy”, bitch, I do not answer to you or your imaginary friend.
“Europe’s Muslims live in closed communities, primarily in suburbs, which are de facto, not subject to the law of the land.”
Bullshit. I have worked in some of these suburbs. The issues stem from economic hardship and the parallel economy it fosters. What is true is that mosques create solidarity networks which give them influence. This is only because public authorities have pretty much given up and let them replace what was supposed to be their purview.
“In Great Britain, for example, sharia law has been acknowledged alongside common law, with the creation of Muslim courts with Islamic judges (qadis).”
Citation needed. Recognising a religious authority when dealing with religious issues is one thing, but this is not what is assumed here.
“Italian schools are canceling Christmas celebrations so as not to offend Muslim sensibilities. Many schools are forgoing the Easter holidays to accommodate the Muslim calendar.”
And yet, in Belgium and France, they are still holidays. I suspect they also are in Italy and he is just lying.
