Alexander Pagani #fundie #magick #quack charismanews.com

What's the difference between mental illness, a broken spirit and demonic possession? We sat down with pastor and apostle Alexander Pagani who works in deliverance ministry, and he is sharing his biblical insights to help shed light on what deliverance is and what it is not.

"First and foremost deliverance is not fighting the darkness it's turning on the light. It's total dependence on the Holy Spirit to deal with the root of the problem," Pagani says.

What is deliverance?

It is the military might of the kingdom of God destroying and removing strongmen in the kingdom of darkness. The entire purpose of salvation is to give followers of Jesus wholeness, while the purpose of the enemy is to break us into pieces.

Your soul can be whole or it can be fractured. "It can be broken in multiple pieces, now those pieces is where I believe Legion actually enter in," Pagani says.
<...>
"When it's a malevolent entity, its goal is to always destroy you. Leading a person to committing the act of suicide. When it's emotional it leads to this perpetual place of depression or instability," Pagani says.

When there is a dark entity influencing someone, the goal is to push them off of the deep end. The difference with mental health is that it often feels like anguish and doesn't lead to the place of destruction.

What isn't deliverance?

God can lead believer's through seasons where He is breaking things off like pride and insecurity and it can feel like you are being attacked. The importance in telling the difference between God refining you and the enemy attacking you is the end goal.

God will always work to bring you back together stronger than ever, give you peace and a beautiful future. The enemy's goal is to steal, kill and destroy and will lead you down a path of deep darkness and depression.

Mental health issues can be fought through affirmations and natural tools to help realign your thought processes.

Every imperfect and normal family wants their kids to turn out right. So, we establish goals for character development and try to create an environment where our kids can mature. Church, school, sports teams, family relationships ... each of these provides a context where our kids can learn to "love your neighbor as yourself."

Unfortunately, our "good" objectives might have absolutely nothing to do with the gospel of Jesus Christ. And we inadvertently end up raising pagans instead of Christians.

Too many times, (Christian) parents have it as their goal to make their kids good and moral. It is as if the entire purpose of their family's spiritual life is to shape their children into law-abiding citizens who stay out of trouble. The only problem with this goal is that it runs in stark contrast to what the Bible teaches. The gospel is not about making bad people moral, but about making dead people alive. If we teach morality without the transforming power of the gospel and the necessity of a life fully surrendered to God's will, we are raising moral pagans.

We end up teaching the wrong thing because we have the wrong objectives.

This sentiment was stirred in me afresh when I read an interview with VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer. He was reflecting on how the "Christian message" he was trying to teach wasn't Christianity at all:

"I looked back at the previous 10 years and realized I had spent 10 years trying to convince kids to behave Christianly without actually teaching them Christianity. And that was a pretty serious conviction. You can say, 'Hey kids, be more forgiving because the Bible says so,'or 'Hey kids, be more kind because the Bible says so!' But that isn't Christianity, it's morality...

"And that was such a huge shift for me from the American Christian ideal. We're drinking a cocktail that's a mix of the Protestant work ethic, the American dream and the gospel. And we've intertwined them so completely that we can't tell them apart anymore. Our gospel has become a gospel of following your dreams and being good so God will make all your dreams come true. It's the Oprah god."

So what is your objective?

Do you teach your kids "be good because the Bible tells you to" or do you teach your kids that they will never be good without Christ's offer of grace? There is a huge difference. One leads to moralism; the other leads to brokenness. One leads to self-righteousness; the other leads to a life that realizes that Christ is everything and that nothing else matters.

I want my kids to be good. We all do. But as our kids grow up, the truth of the gospel can easily get lost somewhere between salvation (where we know we need Jesus) and living life (where we tend to say "I've got this"). My experience is that the vast majority of parents are encouraging moral behavior in their kids so that God will bless their (usually self-centered) pursuits. It's the American dream plus Jesus. And it produces good, moral pagans.

Consider the key objectives you have for your kids. Seriously, take a minute to think about what would deem you a successful parent. If your goals are focused on your kids' behavior, their happiness or their accomplishments but don't include a dependence upon Christ and a submission to His will and work, you might want to make some adjustments.

Because the world has enough pagans. Even plenty of really nice ones. What we need is kids who fully grasp the reality that they have nothing to offer but who intimately know a God who has everything they need.

The spirit of deception is alive and well at the second annual Pagan Pride Fest in Tyler, Texas.

Despite the event organizer, Raynie Castañeda, claiming the event was "not satanic," nothing could be further from the truth. Those hosting the event appeared to be trying to distort and spread false senses of self and identity to the attendees.
<...>
The event was formed specifically to be anti-Christian.

In promotional material distributed beforehand, the event is described as a place to "gather & celebrate ourselves in the center of town, on our Good Old Square, which has historically been the place of our town's atrocities against BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Pagans, and any non-Christian folk. We reclaim this space in Honour of Ourselves, or our Gods, or our Ancestors."

The focus was to celebrate "ANY Pagan, Heathen, Satanist, Atheist, Spiritualist, any 'Other'd' folk who just don't know."
<...>
As reported by Tayler Hansen, the Satanic Temple clergy were clad in black robes and an assortment of demonic masks, while charging people $10 to be "un-baptized" by having a black upside-down cross drawn on their foreheads as they exclaimed "Hail Satan!"
<...>
Denial has worked so well for Satan and his minions, there is no reason to stop it now. People are being deceived by this tactic as is evidenced by this festival and others like it across the world.

The goal of making it appear innocent and undermine the seriousness of the spiritual impact an event like this would have can be seen across America.

The same spirit that claims a pagan festival's sole focus is not to be anti-Christian, is the same spirit that wants to see children exposed to sexually explicit drag shows. It wants to see children taught CRT and LGBTQ ideology in schools across the nation. It wants the government to continue to deny the existence of God (such as the Democratic party's pledge to secularism) and keep the truth of Jesus Christ from the hearts of as many as it can.

God doesn't want us to fall into a pit of witchcraft. He warned His people, "Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God" (Lev. 19:31).

Catch that. Prophetic witchcraft defiles you. The Contemporary English Version of this Scripture reads, "Don't make yourselves disgusting to Me by going to people who claim they can talk to the dead." And The Message puts it this way: "Don't dabble in the occult or traffic with mediums; you'll pollute your souls. I am God, your God."

Defile means "to make unclean or impure." It means "to corrupt." It means "to contaminate." God calls us to be holy even as He is holy. Prophetic witchcraft and holiness do not mix.

True prophets pursue holiness and teach others to do the same. Ezekiel 44:23 tells us, "And they shall teach My people the difference between the holy and the unholy, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean."
<...>
When the Lord exposes prophetic witchcraft to you and you ignore His warnings, you come under the deception of prophetic witchcraft and it defiles you. Some of the spirit that's on them begins to influence you—and it's not the Holy Spirit.

Be sure, the Holy Spirit always warns us when there are counterfeit prophetic operations in our midst. He expects us to discern His warnings of prophetic witchcraft. It's our responsibility to pick up on His warnings.
<...>
I'm convinced those who operate in prophetic witchcraft reproduce after their own kind. Maybe they were taught some of the evil practices that defiled them, but that doesn't mean you need to let that teaching defile you.
<...>
Looking at this from the contrary view, walking in the counsel of the ungodly and standing in the path of prophetic witch- craft can bring curses in your life. God is certainly not cursing you, but when you are opening yourself up to demons and when you finally cut the cord, prophetic witchcraft operators will curse you on the way out.

What in the name of John Blutarsky is happening on our university campuses?

A new survey from the Pew Research Center reveals that a shocking number of millennials support curbing free speech.

According to their findings, 40 percent of Americans between the ages of 18 and 34 believe the government should be able to ban any speech that is offensive to minority groups.

We have apparently raised a generation of snowflakes so fragile that their psyches can't handle offensive words or photographs or images.

It seems the only free speech this perpetually offended generation supports is speech they agree with.

And it appears our nation's public universities have become breeding grounds for such anti-American and un-Constitutional beliefs.

Websites like Campus Reform have done a tremendous job documenting the methodical way in which our public institutions have been turned against us.

Administrators, faculty and student government leaders who do not agree with the rampaging mob of anti-free speech protesters are threatened—their voices silenced.

From the University of Missouri to U.C. Berkley where they are creating safe spaces to protect persons of color and those who identify as gender queer.

The University of Michigan added a three-year diversity requirement to its undergraduate curriculum in the school of business. As Campus Reform reported, they will teach students "how race, gender and sexual orientation connect to larger systems of power, privilege and oppression."

At Dartmouth, Black Lives Matter protestors invaded the library verbally assaulting white students.

"(Expletive) you, you filthy white (expletive)!"

That's what they screamed at the kids trying to study for exams.

And at the University of Vermont white students were carted off to the woods for a three-day retreat on white privilege.

Universities are now judging students on the color of their skin, instead of the content of their character.

Oh, what have liberal educators unleased on our great nation?

We are watching the coming of age for a new generation—a generation of intolerance—a generation that will one day shutdown free speech, a generation that will purge dissenting viewpoints, a generation that will shutter our churches and burn our books.

We are watching the generation that will destroy America.

it possible that ancient gods have come back and are behind what is currently happening in America? Could their existence be transforming culture, families, children, businesses, government, technology—and even our very lives?
New York Times bestselling author Jonathan Cahn examines these chilling questions and more in his explosive new book, The Return of the Gods, available for pre-order now. In the groundbreaking book, Cahn takes readers on a journey from an ancient parable to the ancient inscriptions in Sumer, Assyria and Babylonia that become the puzzle pieces behind what is taking place in the world to this day, specifically in America.

Cahn promises to start to uncover ancient prophecies of old, as well as how they affect America today.
<...>
In the book, Cahn identifies three key ancient gods who are at work at this very moment—a dark trinity that embody the apostasy itself: the Possessor, the Enchantress and the Destroyer. These three spirits worked together in a progression of seduction, with the Possessor ushering in the Enchantress, then the Enchantress ushering in the Destroyer.

The Possessor was the first. To the nation of Israel, according to Cahn, he was the embodiment of paganism and of all pagan gods. He was the other god, the substitute god and he warred against the true God. He was the god that Israel turned to when it turned away from the Almighty God.
<...>
But the Possessor was not alone, Cahn warns. He had a wife known as the Enchantress.

"In some ancient mythologies of the Middle East, she was the goddess of sexuality and, specifically, of sexual immorality," says Cahn. "She was a seducer, a temptress, the goddess who captivated, allured and snatched away. As the patron goddess of the tavern, or alehouse, she was associated with the partaking of alcohol, particularly of beer. She dwelled in the taverns and mixed sexuality with intoxication."

This sexualization of Israel is exactly what is happening in America today.

A homosexual "married" couple is featured prominently with a young boy (their son) in the new Campbell Soup advertisement.

Campbell's #RealRealLife campaign aims to change the face of the American family. It starts off with the first man feeding soup to the little boy and in a Star Wars Darth Vader voice says, "Luke, I am your father."

Then the other man enters the scene and says, "No, Luke, I am your father." How confusing for this little boy and for all children viewing this commercial. Obviously, Campbell's is sending the message that homosexual men are raising children, whom they wouldn't have if a woman wasn't involved, and they are OK with it.

Campbell Soup is glorifying this unnatural marriage. One Million Moms believes family is based on love, but this does not justify normalizing sin. One Million Moms does not agree with the need for Campbell's to support same-sex marriages or couples.

Companies should advertise the quality of their products. It is no longer about the product but about their cause. They should not be highlighting who is attracted to whom or who sleeps with whom. This is a marketing decision Campbell's will regret.

This gay-inclusive commercial is attempting to desensitize viewers. There is concern about the way this ad is pushing the LGBT agenda, but an even greater concern is the way that they are attempting to redefine "family" and "real marriage."

Please contact Campbell Soup through our website urging them to pull this inappropriate commercial immediately and remain neutral in the culture war.

Also, let Campbell Soup know that continuing to air this ad and other offensive advertisements in the future will force your family to make the decision to no longer purchase any of Campbell's Soup Company brands such as Pepperidge Farm, Pace, Spaghetti O's, V8, Swanson and Prego.

You are right, the time has come for the parting of Christianity and the GOP. The majority of Republicans in the Senate and Congress are RINOs (Republican in name only). They no longer hold to the Republican beliefs of smaller government and individual freedoms. The Republican Leadership has sided with evil. Witness the complete focus now by Boehner on legalizing the illegals which is exactly what 0bama wants. What does 0bama not want? Repeal of 0bamaCare and spending reductions. What has the House indicated on these? It will not do anything to repeal 0bamaCare or restrain spending. Who does the Republican leadership identify as their enemy? The Tea Party. What does the Tea Party represent in this battle? Goodness and the American way. So, the Republican Leaders are now operating as an elite few who see their role as that of shepherds, moving the conservatives of America into the new Liberal World Order.

With that said, the other side of the coin is the Democrat/socialist/Liberalism view which is not only the "religion" of the new age progressives, it is their porn. It truly is a mental disorder that is being used as an offering to the childish, dependent, and weak minded as an alternative to personal responsibility and self reliance, and in exchange for absolute human rights. It empowers the most vile aspects of humanity via the "tolerance" of the "group think" to believe that their selfish hedonism is "freedom". The United States now exports the true concept of freedom in smaller quantities than ever before. Freedom isn't free and that is a lesson lost on the chronically self indulgent.

[Christian lists seven things that prove God exists.]

1. Babies. How can anyone deny the reality of God when they see a baby? The amount of information encrypted in one cell in the human body is equal to that of 1,000 books.

2. Thunderstroms. I love to sit on my back porch in Florida and listen to the rumbling of thunder. It reminds me of God’s majesty and power.

3. Flowers. There are more than 400,000 species of flowers in the world, and most of them are not edible. Their job is to simply make the world beautiful. Did they just haphazardly evolve over time[?]

4. The Bible. The Bible itself is proof of God’s existence because He used 40 unrelated people over a period of 2,000 years to write His unique love letter to us. There is nothing like the Bible[.]

5. The global spread of Christianity. Over the centuries, the gospel message has been vilified and ridiculed. Yet today Christianity has more adherents than any religion, and numbers are growing in many parts of the world.

6. Jesus. The most amazing thing about God is not that He exists, but that He loved us so much He was willing to send His Son to earth to save us from ourselves.

7. My personal friendship with God. There are many reasons I am convinced God is real (the existence of coffee alone proves that He loves me!)[.]

There is no such thing as the Easter Bunny.

If there arose a global movement that loudly and proudly demanded "bunny equality," and a dozen or more activist federal judges suddenly declared the Eastern Bunny to be real, and thousands of rabid rabbit wannabees pranced in pink bunny suit parades, all the while pretending to be, even believing themselves to be, Easter Bunnies, and liberal legislators passed "anti-discrimination" laws presuming to force everyone else to join in on the delusion (severely punishing those who refused), there'd still be no Easter Bunny.

There is no such thing as "same-sex marriage."

There can't be.

It's an idea no less silly than a giant pink bunny hiding eggs behind trees. It's an oxymoron. It's contradictio in terminis. It's like pointing to your lawn and saying, "What a beautiful green sky."

When God is rejected, truth collapses in its wake. And truth is the bedrock upon which civil society rests. So when God goes, truth goes, then society goes. This is the inevitable reality of the post-modern, anti-God, secularist movement in America. And the collapse of truth has consequences, especially for convictional Christians who hold to biblical truth claims about human sexuality.

The pro-choice movement coined the term "reproductive health" to promote contraception and ever-more-questionable methods to end pre-born lives worldwide. Far from empowering women, abortion has created a multifaceted marketplace that profits from killing the defenseless and using a woman's body during pregnancy.

Globally, the health and safety of women is being threatened by a corrupt industry that exploits them and devalues human life. Detailed research reveals five emerging issues that pose immediate risks to women during maternity.

1. Telemed abortions and off-label drug use leave women hospitalized

As many surgical abortion facilities close, the abortion-inducing drug RU-486 has increased the number of telemedicine abortions—known as telemed or webcam abortions.

This procedure induces a chemical abortion in an expectant mother when there is no doctor physically present. A physician consults with the mother via webcam; after explaining the abortion procedure, the drug is provided by the physician using a remotely activated drawer that opens. There is no physical examination of the mother by the physician, and drugs are administered by staff who may or may not be licensed.

The Iowa Board of Medicine banned chemical abortions without a doctor present due to the increased health risks to the mother. This ban is being challenged by Planned Parenthood of the Heartland in a recent Iowa Supreme Court case.

Abortion-inducing drugs pose numerous health risks for women, including death. These risks are increased by misuse, such as in telemed abortions. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the drug manufacturer of RU-486 have acknowledged the risks involved, and the FDA has a specific protocol for "safe" use of the drug. Many abortion centers are ignoring this protocol and the health risks to women in order to reduce costs.

In an interview with Bound4LIFE, Stanford University Ph.D. Michael New summarized a recent study on webcam abortion health risks. "This study of more than 50,000 abortion patients confirms the finding that telemed abortions are a lot more risky than surgical abortions," said New.

"Their data shows the number of follow-up visits and emergency room visits are much higher for women having telemed abortions—the procedure has four times more risk of complications."

2. "Abortion pill smoothie" increases potential for coerced abortions

In March, a Norwegian man was sentenced to six years in prison for mixing abortion-inducing pills into a smoothie in order to terminate his girlfriend's pregnancy without her knowledge. According to news reports, the woman testified at the hearing that, "He tried several times to convince me to have an abortion, but it was not an option for me."

The man bought the abortifacients online and first gave them to her as painkillers; when the first attempt "failed" he bought a new batch of pills and mixed them into a smoothie. Her doctor confirmed that abortion-inducing drugs caused the miscarriage.

With the increased use of abortifacients in the United States, a woman's health is at risk both in accidental or coerced situations. A recent report by the pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute estimated that, while the abortion rate decreased by 13 percent overall, there has been an increase in chemical abortions. Chemical abortions now make up 22.6 percent of the total number of abortions.

"The Supreme Court has repeatedly held that states have an interest in protecting maternal health from the outset of pregnancy," write two Americans United for Life scholars. "[This] provides strong support for regulations requiring abortion providers to abide by the protocol approved by the FDA."

The Norwegian "abortion smoothie" criminal case warns women's health advocates worldwide of an emerging threat to the lives of both mothers and children.

3. Surrogacy: a new form of human trafficking

The inability to conceive a child is painful to deal with for those suffering from infertility. According to the CDC, about 12 percent of American women ages 15-44 suffer from infertility. Often it leads a couple to alternative conception measures such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and surrogacy—the latter alternative to grow a family particularly controversial.

"Surrogacy is rife with controversy," writes adoption expert Mirah Riben. "PBS, BBC, and Newsweek are among some of the many venues that have exposed concerns about international surrogacy in particular." In the complex surrogacy process, achieved through a variety of arrangements, a surrogacy contract results in a woman carrying another couple's pre-born baby.

As an alternative to infertility struggles, how much do we understand about surrogacy as it relates to the health and well-being of women?

France has made surrogacy—or "womb prostitution" as it is referred to—illegal based on it being a form of "exploitation of poor and vulnerable women." France's Demonstration for All group is defending marriage in their country based upon the right of every child to deserve a mother and father. "One of their strongest arguments against ending marriage is it will lead to more of this womb prostitution," reports Family Research Council.

If traditional marriage is ruled against in the U.S. Supreme Court, how will this affect women? Will "womb prostitution" further devalue the beautiful, vital role of a mother? Surrogacy has massive repercussions for women. Not only does surrogacy exploit poor and vulnerable women, it degrades a woman's body as nothing more than a "host" or commodity.

The need for children outside the norms of traditional marriage has the potential to create an unregulated market and a whole new form of human trafficking. Infertility will no longer be the only reason for the surrogacy option.

4. Harvesting embryos for organs assaults the sanctity of the womb

When some scientists hail "research breakthroughs," a closer look reveals a dark underworld: An abortion industry that murders babies and sells their body parts to the highest bidder.

As reported previously by Bound4LIFE, the biotech company Ganogen Inc. in Redwood City, California, is harvesting kidneys from aborted babies. The company transplants fetal organs into lab rats where they can grow to a larger size—to be transplanted into a human patient. The process known as Xenotransplantation seeks "to grow human organs in animals, to end the human donor shortage."

Those profiting from the killing of babies are an industry of death, devaluing women and their God-given ability to grow a life inside of them. Much like surrogacy, this emerging field of embryo harvesting is treating the womb as a profit hub under the guise of medical research. The possible threats to a woman carrying a healthy, viable baby are endless when economic gain becomes involved with harvesting human body parts.

The womb is a sacred life sanctuary; a woman suffering from infertility realizes this innately. The ability to grow a life is a remarkable blessing. An ethical society cannot allow women's bodies to be used to manufacture organs for "medical research." It not only crosses moral boundaries but defies fundamental women's rights.

5. Permanent sterilization funding spurs on population control movement

According to recent reports, "The Gates Foundation gave an Oregon gynecologist $5 million in grant money last October to develop nonsurgical 'permanent contraception.'"

Dr. Jeffrey Jensen plans to use the $5 million grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to halt "unplanned, unwanted" pregnancies. In a report from the Portland Business Journal, Jensen said, "My goal is very simple: to make every pregnancy planned and highly desired."

Bill and Melinda Gates have been strong supporters of population control; millions of their Foundation funds have gone to promote contraception and abortion worldwide. Gates is even developing a "remote-control contraceptive device that would be injected into women and release contraceptive and abortifacient chemicals into her system for as long as 16 years."

Aside from concerns that population control strategies repeat the tragic eugenics history of Margaret Sanger, these permanent sterilization methods risk women's health and safety (along with ending the lives of their children) driven by the myth of overpopulation. Yet the Gates Foundation has found an ally even in Christian singer Amy Grant.

The Gates Foundation uses baseless claims that millions of women in developing countries would like to delay or stop unwanted pregnancies but don't have access to contraception. Why is the answer to this problem permanent sterilization instead of education and better health care?

Stephan Phelan of Human Life International responds to this human rights abuse: "There is no justice in manufacturing a supposed demand for poor women to be sterilized, when what these women always say they want most when asked is better basic health care, education, opportunity, and just governance."

You may have heard about hyper-grace extremists "tokin' the Ghost" (pretending to smoke the Holy Spirit) but this half-baked Bible study may take blasphemy to a mind-numbing level.

Dubbed "Stoner Jesus," the Colorado group invites "students of the Word" to inhale weed, ganja, marijuana, pot—or whatever the going slang for the depressant drug is these days—while they hash out what the Lord is trying to say through the Scripture.

Clearly, this is the fruit of Colorado legalizing recreational marijuana use. Deb Button, a 40-something mother of two, never dreamed of inhaling the THC until Colorado gave the nod. She tried an edible at the counsel of a friend while she was going through a divorce.

"I expected to see unicorns," Button said. "But when I started smoking I just got so connected to God."

Apparently hoping to share the revelation, Button turned to Craigslist to advertise the Stoner Jesus Bible Study. Cynthia Joye showed up to her house, only to find Button "so baked out of her head she forgot she'd invited me over."

JOIN JENNIFER ON FACEBOOK FOR SPIRITUAL COMMENTARY AND ENCOURAGEMENT. CLICK HERE.

Nevertheless, the group has added a diverse mix of faiths to its stoned-out-of-your-mind-Bible-study, including a Mormon, a Catholic, a Greek Orthodox believer, and an atheist who is there for reasons unknown. In one meeting, they studied the Beatitudes from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount and pondered what it meant to be "poor in spirit."

"When I'm stoned, I can't read fast, so I look at every word," said Joye. "Like, what does each one of those words mean? Who's 'poor'?"

This Stoners Jesus Bible study is standing on the word, but not the right word. Button is on a slippery slope, not to mention the example she's setting for her kids at a time when they are probably also struggling with the emotions that accompany divorce.

I started smoking marijuana when I was 15 years old—and it didn't take long for this gateway drug to open the door to many other immoral behaviors.

Smoking weed opened the door to under-aged drinking. We had fake IDs and a good friend at the local liquor store that got us anything we wanted any time we wanted. Smoking weed opened the door to frequent LSD use. Watching my friends take a few "bad trips" failed to scare me enough to stop dropping. Smoking weed opened the door to using ecstasy, which caused my best friend to go into violent convulsions at a party. Of course, that didn't stop me from trying it again and again.

Smoking weed opened the door to a short-term cocaine addiction. One drug dealer I knew ended up with a bullet in his head picking up his supply and another landed in the hospital with an overdose that almost killed him. Smoking weed opened the door to smoking crack with petty criminals in Key West that would end up on America's Most Wanted. Smoking weed opened the door to snorting and shooting heroin in a studio apartment in New York's Hell's Kitchen for a solid week until I was on the brink of addiction.

Yes, smoking weed opened the door to all that and more. It is only by God's grace that I survived—and did not end up struggling with lifelong addictions. It's only by God's grace and prayer and a determined will that I was set free from the demon of pharmakeia. That's why it grieves me to read stories like Button's. The enemy came in at a vulnerable time in her life—while she was in the midst of a divorce—to tempt her to take a legal drug to ease her pain. She could wind up addicted.

The National Institute on Drug Abuse writes, "Long-term marijuana use can lead to addiction; that is, people have difficulty controlling their drug use and cannot stop even though it interferes with many aspects of their lives. It is estimated that 9 percent of people who use marijuana will become dependent on it.

"According to the 2010 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, marijuana accounted for 4.5 million of the estimated 7.1 million Americans dependent on or abusing illicit drugs. In 2009, approximately 18 percent of people aged 12 and older entering drug abuse treatment programs reported marijuana as their primary drug of abuse; 61 percent of persons under 15 reported marijuana as their primary drug of abuse."

Whether you roll it in a joint, smoke it in a blunt, put it in a bong, a ceramic pipe or a crunched up soda can, bake it into brownies or mix it into tea, we should dread the ripple effect legalizing marijuana will have on our nation. Or better yet, we should take authority over the spirits that are working to usher this harmful drug into mainstream American culture.

We have authority in the name of Jesus. Yet we have not been faithful in enforcing the rule of God in this nation. We allowed prayer to be taken out of public schools. We allowed abortion to be legalized. We allowed same-sex marriage to become "normal." And now we are allowing the legalization of marijuana. God help us!

We need to rise up in the name of Jesus with the Word of God in our mouths and bind the assignment over the next generation of youth. Otherwise, we'll see this adopted in churches from coast to coast. Mark my words. This is just a sign of things to come. The good news is, it's not too late to turn this around. We won't win every soul for Jesus, but through intercession we can do plenty of damage to the kingdom of darkness and see an awakening in our land.

[article by Dr. Michael Brown saying "No One Is Born Gay"

Thank you Michael Brown for bringing some cutting-edge science into this debate.

Clearly, homosexuality is a deliberate and sinful choice. Obviously, they aren't "born" to cruise bars, dress like women and picket outside churches. They have chosen gay activism. And, there is no "civil right" for things you chose to do. And why do they call it "gay"? Homosexuals are well-known to be nothing but sullen, angry, fearful and pessimistic because they have given-in to their sinful nature. I pray, in love, that they will someday share our joy and optimism.

Thanks again, Dr. Brown for leading the battle in this war for civilization itself. If our great country can survive the unprovoked, relentless attacks by the homosexuals it will because you have been such a proactive warrior, even as Christians and politicians have been silent on this issue.

Maybe there is another take on what Jesus said, maybe He was talking about the "poor" in Spirit.
There a lot of Christians who don't put their whole trust in God, He is the One who will provide all our needs.

God doesn't have a problem with us having lots of money, in fact He even says, ask and you will receive. Why would anybody want to take a vow of poverty, when God has enough riches stored up for us all.

The Shemitah having been established by Father God is not to be scorned.
Rabbi Jonathan Cahn is bringing us a message of warning so as to be
prepared to go through some tuff stuff. Yes, I do believe the Shemitah is
tied to the 11 Trillion Stock Market Loss, not that it caused the loss, only it
is a yardstick to measure ourselves in handling our responsibility concerning
our debt, our time to release others from the bondage of debt, and a time
to rest our land for the specified time to allow the soil to replenish itself.
Father God has orchestrated how we should live in His statues to get the
best out of this earthly life. Think about it, if the large corporations would
incorporate the Shemitah into their policy of structure, every seven years
giving clients a release of debt, our country would be out of debt, why?
Because we would be in line with Father God's established Shemitah!
We would be Blessed by Father God, there would be no loss.

But you are not “gay.”

Yes, you may be physically attracted to people of the same sex, but how you act on those attractions is entirely your choice. Who you are—your identity—is not defined by your sexual feelings, temptations or behaviors. The difference between who you are and what you feel or do is as the difference between night and day.

Modern-day DNA research is confirming the biblical account of Adam and Eve, according to one genetics expert.

Answers in Genesis' Georgia Purdom has recently released a documentary explaining her findings and the scientific support for the records presented in Genesis.

"One of the most compelling genetic evidences for an original human couple created by God is mitochondrial DNA research done by creation geneticist, Dr. Nathaniel Jeanson," Purdom says. "He clearly shows that the common human female ancestor of us all (biblical Eve) lived within the biblical timeframe of several thousand years ago."

Jeanson has also done research disproving the evolutionary timescale.

What the scientific jargon breaks down to is this: If evolution were true, if men and women had been roaming the planet for years, there would be more genetic diversity.

By focusing on the DNA, these scientists have been able to evaluate that men and women can trace their roots back to a man and woman, Jeason writes.

Though Jeason's timeline differs, his research echoes a study claiming all men can trace their lineage to a single man who lived 135,000 years ago, a "Genetic Adam."

"The Y chromosome is passed down identically from father to son, so mutations, or point changes, in the male sex chromosome can trace the male line back to the father of all humans," LiveScience's Tia Ghose writes. "By contrast, DNA from the mitochondria, the energy powerhouse of the cell, is carried inside the egg, so only women pass it on to their children. The DNA hidden inside mitochondria, therefore, can reveal the maternal lineage to an ancient Eve."

For creationists, the scientific evidence backs not only the existence of Adam and Eve and the truth of Genesis, but the overwhelming support for the need of Christ in a broken world.

Without Adam, Eve and original sin, Purdom says, we wouldn't have a need for a Savior—and salvation wouldn't be a necessity.

But through this research, geneticists are proving the case for Christ, not just creation.

"We need the good news, grace and life, which is found in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ," Purdom says. "Jesus is the solution to the problem of evil that began in Genesis 3. Paul made this connection very clear in Romans 5 and 1 Corinthians 15."

I have no desire to pile on with more comments about Josh Duggar, who appears to be a very serious and committed Christian and who has made no excuses for the sins of his youth and who deeply desires to make a positive impact for the Lord in the years ahead. I simply want to share some redemptive thoughts, supplementing some of the excellent statements made by others, including former governor Mike Huckabee and Southern Baptist leader Russell Moore.

1. Jesus really does change people. While critics of the Duggar family want to indict them (along with other evangelical Christians, especially those with large families) for Josh's actions, and while many seem ready to throw Josh under the bus, the fact is that while he did sin grievously, through repentance, faith and counseling, he became a new man. Jesus really does transform sinners.

How many of us did wicked things as teenagers? I was shooting heroin at the age of 15 and broke into some houses and even stole money from my own father before being radically converted at the age of 16. I was profane, filled with pride, anger and lust, yet the Lord had mercy on me and totally turned my life around.

Some of us continued to live like this into our adult years, only to find mercy and new life then, meaning that the transformation was even more dramatic.

For me, the first lesson from this story is this: Whoever you are, whatever you've done, there is hope in the Lord. As Mike Huckabee said, "'inexcusable' ... doesn't mean 'unforgivable.'"

As Paul wrote to the Corinthians, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, and you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus by the Spirit of our God" (1 Cor. 6:9-11).

2. There's no excuse for sin, so own up to it. In today's culture, almost no one is guilty of anything. It's someone else's fault, someone else's responsibility, not our own. We're all victims, and the reason we do bad things is because someone else wronged us. Isn't that how we think today?

I've even heard athletes apologize for some really heinous actions by saying, "I'm not happy with the way things happened," rather than saying, "What I did was wrong and I have no excuses. Please forgive me. I'm seeking to get to the root of my problems and address them."

What a vast difference between the two attitudes.

As Proverbs states, "He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy" (28:13).

According to the accounts we've all heard, Josh confessed his sin to his parents as well as to the proper authorities, and as a family, they worked through the issues. Now, half a lifetime later (he's 27 and is married with four children), when confronted with a police report about his past, he did not minimize his sin nor did he excuse it. He also resigned from the fine Christian organization for whom he worked, not wanting to bring any negative attention to their work.

When I see someone respond like this, I am filled with hope. In fact, over the years, I've seen that people who committed uglier sins but took full responsibility and repented did far better than those who committed less serious sins and tried to sweep them under the rug.

3. Even godly families have kids who mess up badly. Nancy and I only had two kids, and we sought to be godly parents and set godly examples. Yet our older daughter went through a real period of rebellion in her teen years.

As parents, we felt miserable, and I would wonder what I was doing wrong.

Of course, we dealt with her rebellion head on and prayed like crazy for her to really encounter the Lord, but while it was happening, it was terribly deflating spiritually. What kind of father am I? How can I be so ineffective?

Today, we all laugh about those years, and our daughter, who is now 37 and is a devoted wife and mother, is so grateful for the way she was raised. (She and Nancy are the best of friends and are in constant contact.)

The fact that the Duggars, who successfully raised 19 children in the Lord (who can imagine that?), had to deal with one of their kids committing serious sexual sin at 14 should actually encourage other parents rather than discourage them. And perhaps, they can teach us today how this tragic incident helped them come together as a family and draw closer to the Lord.

4. Josh can be an ambassador on behalf of the abused, even helping the abusers, as well. While it can feel like your life is over when your past, largely private sins become public (how many of us would like for that to happen?), the fact is that Josh's future can be bright in the Lord.

He can call on others who are sinning to come clean and get help, using his own example redemptively. And he can encourage those who have been abused to realize that they are not guilty and should not feel shame, also encouraging churches to embrace those who come for help rather than making them feel as if there is something wrong with them.

Why should those who have suffered abuse be stigmatized? They should be our priority for healing and restoration.

5. We need to be careful how we judge. There are many fans of the Duggars who are upset with what they feel is a witch hunt against a godly family, representing one more attempt to remove them from reality TV. (Let me say without qualification that there is life after reality TV, and if the Duggars never do another broadcast, their lives can still be overwhelmingly blessed.)

But would we have had this same attitude of judgment if this was the child of a gay couple? Would we have said, "This proves that gay parents are no good!"?

I certainly believe that kids deserve a mom and a dad and that, optimally, they will do best with a mom and dad, but I don't indict all gay couples because of the failings of one of their kids

So, if you want to show mercy, be consistent. We can all fall into the trap of selective compassion.

6. There are consequences to our actions, but with God, our worst mistakes can become stepping stones to spiritual growth.

Most of us have done things we wish we could take back, and in some cases, the consequences of our bad choices and sinful actions last for decades. Yet with the Lord, no matter how great the stigma of our sin, if we will humble ourselves before Him, He can take those stumbling blocks and turn them into stepping stones, to the point that the worst things that ever happened to us become the best things that ever happened to us.

To the core of His being, God is a redeemer, and I'm personally praying and believing that for Josh Duggar and his entire family, God will turn this painful situation around for greater good.

Let's watch and see.

"Judge Pérez-Giménez not only rejected the constitutional arguments for redefining marriage, but succinctly made the case for natural marriage, noting that 'the very survival of the political order depends upon the procreative potential embodied in traditional marriage.' Oh please. Who are you to sit in judgment of God's historical protection of the USA? No wonder the various TV and movie "zombies" are not known for their smarts.

Abe Lincoln understood a lot more about what could have happened -- indeed what ALMOST happened -- during the Civil War than you or I ever will, and that's why he openly proclaimed a national day of prayer and fasting in March of 1863.

That didn't mean America was sinless. Nope. Native Americans and African-Americans could easily list America's sins. Even the cruel Southerners could point to big hypocrisy on the part of the Northerners. But at least the broken nation and its President had enough sense to realize that they needed God badly, and needed Him quickly.

But today's America? Nope. Tragic 9-11 hits, everybody suddenly woke up and went to church for two weeks, and then it's all "back to business", far worse than ever before (like that gay marriage mess). And now this nation has gone wacko. (Some of them even start judging God, saying He's done a poor job. That's daffy-duck mess!).

So yeah, please continue spitting in God's face, America. Keep on dissing Him so you can figure out what happens NEXT !!!!!

James Robinson #fundie charismanews.com

America refusing to pursue righteousness will force the country into bondage, evangelist James Robison says.

The summer of 2015, alone, saw the Supreme Court support gay marriage, Americans turning a blind eye to Planned Parenthood mutilations and nearly 37 million affair revelations exposed through a data hack.

"It is only the grace and mercy of God that prevents our nation from being destroyed," Robison says. "God is still our shelter, but if as a nation we continue on the present rebellious course, the hedge of protection will come down. We are already seeing it happen."

With the presidential elections around the corner, Robison says believers should push to elect leaders who understand the foundations of freedom.

The secular portion of America is pushing for "tolerance" while persecuting the religious freedom of Christians. To ignore the cries of persecution will force America to remain in darkness. Robison points to the words of Hebrews to back up his point.

"If we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries," he says. "It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God."

However, the evangelist says there is a silver lining in the midst of all the chaos: The revelation of the nation's wrongdoings could bring about revival.

"In the face of coming judgment and desolation, Jesus wept over Jerusalem and extended the invitation to return to His shelter as chicks rushing to the wings of a hen," Robison says. "There is still time, but time is running out."

He's not the only one believing a revival could be borne out of the revelation of sin.

Michael Snyder, the publisher of The Economic Collapse Blog and author of The Beginning of the End, says the "great shaking" of the coming Shemitah could allow America to open its eyes to the need for God.

But if America doesn't repent from its sin, judgment will come, Robison says.

Robison's garnered several responses for his comments, especially regarding abortion.

"Over 50 million babies have already been sacrificed to the God of convenience in our beloved country since Roe v. Wade," one commenter writes. "When I recognize we have already lost that whole generation, I consider the worse fate (where God now says Amen to our choices) is truly terrifying ... Revive us Oh God!"

Revive us, indeed.

One Million Moms #fundie charismanews.com

ABC's Once Upon a Time introduced a lesbian couple during this week's episode which One Million Moms (1MM) and parents find completely unnecessary. On the other hand, the producers said the inclusion of homosexuality in a show popular with kids was "important." Many families watch the program based on beloved children's fairytales, but unfortunately, ABC has distorted and twisted the storylines in these fables.

In the April 17 episode, named "Ruby Slippers," classic fairytale characters continue to push the envelope as Ruby from "Little Red Riding Hood" and Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz" lock lips and introduce the show's first LGBTQ couple.

In a series of flashbacks, a romance brews between the two women. A sleeping curse leads Ruby to bestow true love's kiss on Dorothy to wake her. One kiss breaks the spell, but many follow in a brief make-out session as the munchkins from Oz watch.

Once Upon a Time is a far from innocent fairytale entangling favorite Disney characters in a new, modern storyline. When it debuted in 2011, it was called "the most family-friendly drama on any broadcast network in the past 10 years," and Common Sense Media rated it for children 12 and up. So naturally, with its family-friendly 8:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. CT Sunday night time slot, it attracts younger viewers and parents who still think of Disney as wholesome. Of course, 1MM knows that Disney has not been wholesome for some time and, once again, they are purposefully pushing a gay agenda.

"True Love's kiss has been a staple of this show since the beginning. This past Sunday's episode was just another example of how in a fairytale, as in life, love is love," co-creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis said in a statement about the LGBTQ storyline. Horowitz added that the storyline will be as "exciting, emotional and heartfelt as any other love story." Once Upon a Time's executive producers have also said their gay advocacy is "important to do" and something that needs to be "normalized," not "marginalized." Last year, when hinting the coming storyline, they said, "It (the LGBTQ relationship) is something we think is due and important to do on the show. This is the world we live in." The producers repeated the mantra "love is love" and again admitted that their goal was to normalize and push gay relationships "as a part of everyday life."

Homosexuality continues to be over-represented in the media because producers want people, and especially kids, to think it's normal and everyday life. In reality, that is their fairytale.

Larry Tomczak #fundie charismanews.com

"This is a day of infamy."

Addressing a conference in the hills of North Carolina, these are the exact words I communicated upon hearing the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage. My heart was very heavy. I plunged into a period of mourning. I'm still there while praying and reflecting. This is serious.

Pastors and politicians usually have to feel the heat before they see the light. Now we are crossing the Rubicon to face the chilling consequences of this horrible decision.

Dr. James Dobson told us in a national prayer conference call a month ago that an unfavorable ruling would not be the end but only the beginning of our woes. Consider just a few of the ramifications surfacing as gay activists have the momentum, the media, the money and multitudes of politicians and pop-culture personalities in their pocket.

Franklin Graham accurately said regarding the White House rainbow light-up ceremony, "God is the One who gave the rainbow and it was associated with His judgment."

Besides the President's in-your-face, shameful display of gay/rainbow colors on the White House (what is to be the symbol for all Americans—the "People's House"), came the advertising campaigns from corporations celebrating this ruling. Just as my wife and I were preparing to withdraw our funds from Wells Fargo for their aggressive gay advocacy, Coca-Cola ran their ad with two gay guys and their "adopted" baby, "We Choose Happiness Over Tradition."

When attorney Donald Verrilli warned during SCOTUS oral arguments that "It's going to be an issue" regarding churches and tax-exempt status, we're already hearing New York Times "Beliefs" columnist Mark Oppenheimer communicate the following, "Rather than try to rescue tax-exempt status for organizations that dissent from stated public policy on matters of race and sexuality, we need to take a more radical step. It's time to abolish or greatly diminish, their tax-exempt status."

Time magazine asked AIDS activist Larry Kramer, "Did you ever imagine the US would be where we are today in terms of widespread acceptance of gays?" He responded, "And a plague that's really causing genocide among gay people and people of color."

[...]

God gave me a practical plan: Challenge people to take 30 days and invest 15 minutes a day in a 3 step process to develop a biblical worldview and confidence in addressing our country's controversial issues: 1. Review a video—3 min. 2. Read an article—10 min. 3. Reflect and pray—2 min. The title of the book is Bullseye and it'll help us "hit the mark" in sharing the gospel and biblical truth to dispel deception and foster spiritual awakening.

I invite your prayer support as we finalize this project. May this be one of many divine strategies given by God at this tipping point in America's history.

When I shared the prophetic word below with my intercessors, it troubled them. I understand why. It troubled me also. I decided to hold it back and pray it through but the Holy Spirit recently reminded me of these words again. These words should not breed fear but should open our eyes to what's coming, and what, in fact, is already beginning to manifest right before our eyes. Here is the word:

Calling Evil Good and Good Evil

"A tsunami of perversion and all manner of wicked sin is headed toward this nation. You've only yet seen the rumblings of what the enemy has planned. For many in your nation have called good evil and called evil good. Many in this nation have not believed you will reap what you sow.

"You have sown iniquity—for decades—and you have taken the hand of perversion. You have walked in step with abominations rather than resisting the temptations to deny my Word and my Son. The perversion in this land will increase and increase and increase.

"There will come a day when morality is no longer merely relative but is persecuted. There will come a day when evil is considered good and good is considered evil. When that day comes, those who are hidden in the shadow of My wings will be insulated from the abominations around them.

"I will raise up the likes of Abraham and Moses to deliver the righteous out of the hand of the wicked in that day. I will shield those who run into my Name. But no longer look and no longer think that you will turn the tide by your prayers alone. These things must be so. I warn you now to fear not, but to ready your hearts. Buy your oil. Be ready for My coming."

It's Not Just Sexual Perversion

Yes, we've seen the rumblings of this rising perversion but I believe it's going to grow darker still. When you think of perversion you probably immediately think of sexual perversion—and I believe that's part of it. The Bible has plenty to say about sexual perversion in Romans 1:21-28 alone and we're seeing that passage playing out right now.

But sexual immorality—polygamy, homosexuality, adultery, fornication and legal bestiality that I've so often addressed—is not the only kind of perversion. There's perversion of laws, perversion of justice, perversion of speech, perversion of freedom—and most importantly, perversion of God's Word. Apostasy is rising. The Great Falling Away is underway.

After praying over this and letting it sit for some months, it became clear to me that the root of this tsunami of perversion is actually the perversion of God's Word itself. You've seen a trickle of this, but it's about to break out like a flood. Again, we're seeing prominent pastors and entire denominations perverting God's Word, twisting it to defend and justify perversion itself and suggesting the rest of us are legalistic or unenlightened about the truth. It may have started with the gay marriage doctrine but it won't end there.

John Burton #fundie charismanews.com

Considering the spotlight that homosexuality, transgenderism and various sexual deviances have demanded, we must engage in a conversation about the ramifications such activity—in the church.

In fact, the so called "gay Christian" movement is gaining traction all over the world as is the sanctioning of homosexual marriage in some of the largest denominations.

Unfortunately, immorality has always infected the church. In the book of Revelation we see a severe example of this, and an equally severe reaction by God:

"I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience, and that your last works are more than the first. But I have a few things against you: You permit that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat food sacrificed to idols. I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, but she did not repent. Look! I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. I will put her children to death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the hearts and minds. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds" (Rev. 2:19-23).

The church in Thyatira was on God's radar for their works, love and faith, but also for tolerating sexual immorality in the church.

So many have fallen for an unbiblical definition of true love that is devoid of correction or standards. It feels more like warm, fuzzy, emotional highs and affirmation of people regardless of their lifestyle, which is not biblical love. Love can feel quite repulsive and alienating at times. God is love. He can't avoid it! This God of love, in the above passage, refused to play games with the issue of sexual immorality in the church. His response? Repent or be thrown into great tribulation!

Consider this question: "If you were a pastor and someone who identified as a 'gay Christian' started attending your church, or someone didn't feel it was sinful to have sex with their boyfriend or girlfriend outside of marriage, what would you do?"

People most always respond by saying, "Love them."

OK, but what does that look like? Again, most would say that we should encourage, share the truth with them and pray that they would stay connected in church and eventually see the error of their ways.

This counsel is in contradiction with the Word of God. I asked this question on Facebook just a moment ago, and I'm so proud of my son Skylar who, on a lunch break at work at Silver Dollar City here in Branson, Missouri, responded by typing in: 1 Corinthians 5. He's right:

"It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles, that a man has his father's wife. But you are arrogant. Instead you should have mourned, so that he who has done this deed might be removed from among you. For indeed, though absent in body but present in spirit, I have already, as if I were present, judged him who has done this deed, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. When you are assembled, along with my spirit, in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, deliver him to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that the spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord Jesus" (1 Cor. 5:1-5).

This passage also uses a form of the word "tolerate." Sexual immorality is not to be tolerated. Jezebel and the sexual perversion she promotes is not to be tolerated. The demand in today's culture is for tolerance in the midst of sexual perversion. This has crept into the culture of the church and it is time to act.

God is not tolerant. His is longsuffering, but certainly not tolerant of perversion—especially within the church. This is His bride!

What is the loving reaction that leaders must have when unrepentant sexual immorality is discovered in the church? That person is to be removed. He is to be delivered to Satan for the destruction of their flesh—so that his spirit may be saved!

This is love!

Of course, there are significant differences between someone who is struggling with, for example, pornography and someone who indulges in it freely without repentance or any plan to change.

There is also a difference between a professing Christian who refuses to repent of sexual sin and a heathen who refuses to repent. The former is to be removed from the church while the latter should be welcomed with open arms in hopes that they are radically, gloriously saved! And, yes, at that time they will be held to an entirely different standard.

The passage in 1 Corinthians 5 continues:

"Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch? Therefore purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new batch, since you are unleavened. For even Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, nor with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. I wrote to you in my letter not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I did not mean the sexually immoral people of this world, or the covetous and extortioners, or the idolaters, since you would then need to go out of the world. But I have written to you not to keep company with any man who is called a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. Do not even eat with such a person. For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But God judges those who are outside. Therefore 'put away from among yourselves that wicked person'" (1 Cor. 5:6-13).

If one who calls themselves a brother or sister in Christ are sexually immoral, greedy, idolatrous, a reviler, drunkard or swindler—we can't even sit down at Starbucks with them! We can't invite them over for a barbecue on the Forth of July!

This is love!

If we don't take swift action the entire church will become infected. A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

"And do not let sexual immorality, or any impurity, or greed be named among you, as these are not proper among saints" (Eph. 5:3).

But what cannot be debated is that the national outrage against Kim Davis has nothing to do with her refusing to obey the law and everything to do with her Christian beliefs.

Had she found herself on the opposite end of the conflict and had she stood for "gay rights," refusing to obey a law that she felt discriminated against them, she would be praised from coast to coast.

Instead, she is being vilified in the ugliest terms and has quickly become the target of death threats simply because, in conscience before God, she cannot comply with the judge's order.

Yesterday I tweeted, "It's interesting that gay activists who praised SF mayor Gavin Newsom for illegally issuing marriage licenses now vilify Kim Davis."

Hector Alvarez (@eltoritolociito) responded, "@DrMichaelLBrown how is it interesting? He was for marriage equality, she was an anti gay bigot who wasnt [sic] doing her job."

Doesn't that say it all?

As Andrew (@AKUContraMundum) tweeted later in the day: "Civil disobedience is only cool when it is God's Law that's being broken." Or, as expressed by Sean Davis, writing on the federalist.com, "Kim Davis Uproar Shows That Breaking the Law Is Only Okay When Progressives Do It."

When Gavin Newsom refused to submit to the law in 2004, he was a hero. When Kim Davis refuses to submit to the law, she is a bigot and a monster. (And make no mistake about it: His actions were far more flamboyant and aggressive than hers, and whereas as she is a self-professed "very private person" who does not want the spotlight to the point of being overwhelmed and in tears because of the national attention, Newsom actively sought it out.)

The implication is clear: God is not finished with America. In recent years, we've seen vitriolic attacks on the biblical foundations of our nation, but from her founding through recent years, America has been the nation that, while far from perfect, has stood for truth and helped lead the way in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ by sending missionaries around the world.

I was lying on my bed, checking Facebook when I first heard the news about Josh Duggar inappropriately touching five young women when he was a young teenager. I was heartbroken by the news in so many ways. I was heartbroken because of the victims. I was heartbroken for the Duggar family. I was heartbroken for Josh.

Throughout the last week I've ruminated about my response to this, and as I've prayed for this family my thoughts have settled on one thing: I am FOR the Duggars. I've been FOR them for a while. Why?

I am FOR God-fearing families who try to model godly living in a confused and hurting world.

I am FOR young couples who choose to pray for their future spouses, marry with the goal of lifelong commitment, and strive to live for God.

I am FOR homeschooling and large families, for the goal of raising children to impact the world for Christ.

Every time Duggar news made headlines at people.com—beating out the self-serving lifestyles of Hollywood stars—I inwardly cheer. It shows people want to hear about wholesome living, young and pure love, and babies born IN wedlock.

Even after hearing news of these horrible acts, I am still FOR the Duggars.

I am FOR healing.

I am FOR forgiveness.

I am FOR restoration, taking what the enemy meant for evil and using it for God.
First, Healing

I haven't talked much about sexual abuse before, but it has impacted my life. Without going into detail, I dealt with inappropriateness during my growing-up years. There was much more emotional inappropriateness than physical, but it skewed my thoughts about myself, my body and my sexuality. I grew up thinking women were objects, and the only way to have a real relationship with someone was to offer myself sexually. This led to be becoming sexually active at a very young age, having an abortion at age 15 and a child at age 17.

More than that, I've seen the pain sexual abuse causes. Just last year I sat in our teen MOPS meeting room with a group of young moms. We had an open conversation about sexual abuse, and I discovered nearly every one of them had been abused sexually. I saw their tears. I witnessed their pain. I heard their heartbreak. I've seen how abuse has wounded them to their core. Sexual abuse is from the pit of hell, and I mourn as I realize how many young women silently suffer.
Second, Forgiveness

I'm praying for these young women and the pain their abuse caused. I'm praying for them to find healing, and I'm praying for them to forgive. Both will happen in layers over time, but what people don't realize is that the forgiveness isn't just for Josh. It's for them too. When we forgive others it brings healing and wholeness to our souls. Josh doesn't deserve forgiveness—none of us do. But thankfully because of Jesus we don't have to face what we DO deserve.

The United Church of Christ (UCC) bills itself as "the church where God is still speaking." Apparently, God's Word is falling on deaf ears of the leadership.

The UCC, which considers itself a mainline Protestant denomination—claiming over 1 million members and about 5,200 congregations in the U.S.—proudly announced it will serve as a major sponsor of the Gay Games. The UCC will now go down in Christian history as the first major denomination to sponsor the homosexual Olympics when the games roll into Cleveland, Ohio, in August.

I guess my jaw shouldn't have dropped when I read the news, considering the UCC in April filed a gay marriage rights lawsuit in North Carolina. But not only did my jaw drop, I'm shaking my head. J. Bennett Guess, one of the UCC's national officers and its first openly gay church executive, calls it a social justice issue and says the denomination prides itself on "being a bold voice for progressive Christianity."

In case you aren't familiar with what the term "progressive Christianity" really means, let's take a moment to define it. Progressive Christianity has a strong focus on social justice and environmentalism. Progressive Christianity focuses on concepts like "collective salvation"—where entire cultures and societies, rather than just individuals with faith in Christ, are redeemed—and bends toward a Marxist economic philosophy. And Progressive Christianity does not subscribe to the biblical doctrine of the inerrancy of Scripture.

That last line explains a lot. For example, it explains why the UCC was the first mainline denomination to affirm equal marriage rights for same-sex couples. It explains why the UCC was the first to ordain an openly gay man. And, overall, it explains why the UCC has fallen into the deception of sponsoring events that celebrate LGBT people instead of trying to love them to Christ.

But even denominations that don't consider themselves part of the Progressive Christianity movement are falling into this deception. The Presbyterian Church (USA) last week voted to allow its ministers to perform gay weddings in states where it's legal. On Tuesday, Methodist Pastor Frank Schaefer, who was defrocked for officiating his son's gay wedding, was fully reinstated and the Moravians voted to ordain gay clergy. My research shows there's a long and growing list of gay-affirming denominations, including the Affirming Pentecostal Church International.

Saints, we're seeing 1 Timothy 4:1 playing out right before our very eyes. It's called the Great Apostasy and it's well underway. By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote: "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons..."

Back in 2012, I wrote an article titled, "Is the Great Falling Away Already Underway?" In it, I explained that some have indeed departed from the faith because they have engaged with deceiving spirits and embraced doctrines of demons. We've witnessed more than one man of God with a major ministry platform bow a knee to doctrines like universalism, deceiving and being deceived with this deadly heresy. Despite many in the church lifting their voice against heretical teachings, these deceived ministers hold fast to their demonic doctrine.

In the article, I show other examples. I would not have imagined that 18 months later I would have an overflowing list of new ones. That's why I am praying for a third Great Awakening. I am committed to crying out to God to see a cultural transformation—a spiritual revolution.

Although the Great Falling Away is going to happen because it's prophesied in Scripture, I am contending for a revival—a Great Awakening—that will sweep through the nation and cause people to turn back to God. I will not give up. The arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear (Is. 59:1).

Before each of the last Great Awakenings, people of God thought it was hopeless—and they didn't see the half of what we're seeing. But I am convinced God wants to turn this around—and I am convinced God can turn this around. Nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). A Great Awakening is our only hope for this nation. Will you join me in praying for another Great Awakening?

Are we living in another generation like Noah's, when toxic thinking is destroying our entire culture?

"The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was continually only evil. The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him in His heart" (Gen. 6:5-6).

It is sobering to see what happened to the human heart because of a reckless thought life. It did not take long after sin had poured into the human race in the Garden of Eden for men's and women's thinking to go down the tubes. Almost immediately, Adam and Eve let fear dominate their thinking when they hid from the presence of God. God was no longer the focal image of their thoughts. Corrupt thinking only worsened as Cain murdered Abel when thoughts of jealousy and anger shaped his heart into a killer. Sin was crouching at the door of Cain's thought life, and he failed to master it. Each succeeding generation continued to allow sin to crowd God out of their thinking.
The Days of Noah: The Point of No Return

In Genesis 6, people's thought lives had so corrupted their hearts that they reached a point of no return. Every thought, imagination and intention of their human thinking was consistently and totally evil. The Bible does not say some of the imaginations and thoughts of the human race were continually evil, but all of their images, desires, intentions and inclinations in every single thought, were evil.

This was not just some weekend fling. It was their thinking from the time they got up in the morning until the time they went to bed at night. There was not a moment in the day when this evil thought process was not actively controlling their minds and shaping their hearts. They wanted absolutely nothing to do with God in their thinking and ultimately in their hearts.

The psalmist affirms this destructive habit of wrong thinking to the human heart:

"The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek God; God is not in all his thoughts" (Ps. 10:4).

This wicked and rebellious people in the time of Noah did not seek God in their thinking. God was not in one single thought. God is the most awesome thing we can ever think about, but these people were so deceived that they did not believe they needed God.

This is the tragic height of selfishness. This is the ultimate ego trip. This is the most dangerous thinking pattern on the planet. Without God in our thoughts, we have written the death sentence to the magnificent purpose God has prepared for our lives. To never know Him is the greatest catastrophe of the ages. He deserves the honor to be first in our thinking.

Our thoughts are a mighty weapon that can forge our hearts into a steel fortress for our God, or they can be a stealth bomber that penetrates our inner lives and destroys our hearts. Thoughts are a much more powerful weapon than any nuclear bomb. They are the critical component to our spiritual growth. We must have a disciplined thought life that is focused like a laser on God and His Word, or our hearts will become a mush of spiritual apathy and worldly lusts.

The devil is a master general at attacking the thought life of a Christian. His war strategy involves tactics of deception, pressure, and enticement to turn our thinking away from God and toward his kingdom. The devil knows that every action that flows out of the human heart originates from our thoughts. He knows that our moral character is an exact image of our thinking. Our thoughts determine whether our character drifts toward good or evil.

The devil knows that in order for a person to do evil, he must first think evil.

Within 10 generations after the fall in the garden, the devil was so successful that only one person on the entire Earth had godly thoughts. Sin had spread like wildfire and contaminated every single thought of what was probably between 235 million and 7 billion people. To imagine that only one person out of this massive population had his thought life together is mind-boggling. Nothing in their thoughts reflected the image of God and not one thought brought glory to God. They were wise, rich, sophisticated and cultured for their time, but the defining characteristic of their age was wickedness because of their thinking.

A civilization that is centered on an ungodly thought life is built on sinking sand. This civilization in the days of Noah received the fruit of their thoughts, which was wickedness and corruption that multiplied on the face of the Earth.

Only Noah was thinking rightly and found favor with God. No one else held the image of God and His words as the standard for their thoughts. No one else was guarding their thoughts. No one else cared that their thought life had nothing good in it, but was a breeding ground for evil. Only Noah had righteous thoughts that built his faith and fueled his obedience to God. Noah's thought life was pure and free from evil because he walked with God.

Genesis 6:6 reveals how the toxic thinking of the human race affected God's heart. These verses contain the first usage of the word heart in the Bible, and they describe a heart that is in deep sorrow.

"The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him in His heart" (Gen. 6:6).

The toxic thought life of His precious creation broke God's heart. God's heart was in horrible agony and pain as He groaned in sorrow over the condition of the heart of every member of the human race. He cried in agony that His people refused to honor Him with even one thought.

Are our thought lives any better today? Does our thinking bring great agony to the heart of God? How God must grieve today over the thought lives of so many Christians and the toxic thinking of this generation.

God is sounding out a clarion call to all who would listen that what we think is critically important to the heart of God. He knows He cannot have your heart if He does not first have your thoughts.

I don't want to break the heart of God because of my toxic thinking. I want to bring glory to God with my thinking. I want to honor Him with every thought. I do not want any virus to infect my thinking and take out the operating system of my heart. A reckless thought life led to the annihilation of an entire civilization. Is it happening again?

The Kansas City Royals rallied to win the World Series on Sunday, and many in Kansas City and beyond are shouting for joy—even if they are not hardcore baseball fans. That's because they are believing the prophets and hoping to prosper.

Indeed, the win was not only significant because it was the first time in 30 years the Royals took home the championship; it's significant because it fulfills a string of prophecies and stirs hope in the hearts of many contending for revival in Kansas City and America.

Mike Bickle, director of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOPKC), shares a Bob Jones prophecy in the ministry's prophetic history. He explains that Jones prophesied during the 1985 World Series:

"God, the Holy Spirit is going to create worldwide attention to be focused on Kansas City ... That's the good news. Here's the bad news. The Lord is going to do it through the baseball game.

"It looks like Kansas City is down and out and will never make it and suddenly at 5 till 12 the Lord brings the victory in. That's the spiritual message over this movement breaking forth in this city. When it looks like it is five till twelve and Kansas City is counted out. Suddenly at 5 till 12 the Lord's breaking in victory."

[...]

Bob Hartley, founder of Hartley Institute/Deeper Waters Ministry in Kansas City, had six dreams about the drama of the Kansas City Royals. Here's the bottom line of those prophetic encounters:

"Watch the Royals, because after many years of disappointment, the Royal ones are entering into a time of Numbers 27:18-23, where they are being commissioned to enter into the promises. Watch them, as they will win and bring a shift from hopelessness to hope ... This is going to be like 1985. Do you remember what brought them home? ... Hope unseen will get them to first base. Then they will become unburdened and light on their feet. This carefree hope will get them to second base. They will be filled with joy and happily steal third base with childlike hope ... but salvation will come from an unlikely place and 'hope against hope' will bring them home."

And then it happened. The Royals won the World Series in 2015 after a heartbreaking Game 7 loss to San Francisco last year. As the Associated Press put it, "For these resilient Royals, no deficit is too large, no time in the game too late."

At a time when hopeless is striking the heart of America and men's hearts threaten to fail them for fear of economic meltdowns, plagues, earthquakes and other evil prophetic forebodings, the words of Jones and Hartley are ringing in the ears of believers around the nation believing for a Third Great Awakening.

Could God be speaking words of life and hope—and revival—through a baseball game?

[regarding the subpoena of the Houston pastors]

DD.......this idea was posted by a Riopaz and written by "Godisgood". If the mayor wants to hear from the Christians, then she should hear from all the Christians......

I've enclosed a note that just needs to be cut and paste into one's mail, signed and then e-mailed to "mayor@houstontx.gov.

Dear Mayor Parker,
We understand that you are a homosexual woman. We respect that you have the freedom to choose to live in whatever way you decide to live.
Christians who follow God's Word / The Bible, know that God considers homosexuality to be very sinful. The Bible is very clear about that, and yet Christians know that people have freedom to live the way they want, and must not insist on people doing as Christians would wish them to do...
You may not be a Christian who sees God's Word as authoritative, but many Christians believe God's Word to be the truth. We will disagree with your choice, and that is our privilege as individuals, don't you agree?
Here are 5 reasons why some people disagree that homosexuality is harmless and/or good:
1) Design – male and female bodies have complimentary sexual organs, where as male and male or female and female are not complimentary;
2) Hurt – the male homosexual actions especially can cause many physical, and mental problems – we do see higher depression and suicide rates among the homosexual community, as compared to the heterosexual one;
3) Lies – the homosexual activists paint homosexuality as a good life, and that it is not a choice, and yet ex-gay individuals very much disagree. One man called homosexuality a cult, as he died of AIDS, abandoned by his homosexual friends;
4) The Bible speaks against homosexuality – See Genesis 2:18-25 & 19:1-38; Leviticus 18:22 & 20:13; Judges 19:22; 1Kings 14:24; Proverbs 14:12; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:21-28; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 & 7:2; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:16-21; Ephesians 5:1-21; 1Thessalonians 4:1-8. 2Timothy 1:10-11; Jude 1:7; Revelations 21:8. (Here is one of the verses: Leviticus 20:13 “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination:they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”;
5) Conscience – many people feel in their consciences that homosexuality is morally wrong.

As a member of the Christian community who is concerned about your welfare, I ask you to first consider your lifestyle choice as being an individual one, that others may not agree with; and second, that you would reconsider your request for records of dialogue and communication between pastors and their congregation members. I really do believe that Christians will never back down on this issue, as it is an issue of truth and integrity for us.

Sincerely,
Your name here"
Let's send her some love from the Christian community. God bless.

Secularism and Christianity are distinct, immutable religions. Secularism believes in the fundamental goodness of man (human nature has a bent toward good). But historic Christianity is much more pessimistic about human nature, with its doctrine of original sin teaching that human reasoning is deeply flawed, inclined to evil, imperfect in knowledge, and consumed by an inborn tendency to sin. Secularism has taken hostage America's Judeo Christian heritage and Biblical-based culture over the last century.

Ok, so now what? As I've previously written, "Fate is not what led Germany to their Holocaust from 1933-1945, but the inevitable consequence of failing to confront pagan ideology in the public square." As Stanton Evans writes, 'When religious value is denied in the realm of spirit, but reasserted in the secular order, dominion of every facet of life converges in a single center; the political regime becomes both the church and state and claims authority over faith and conscience.'"

Where Has Secularism Led?

- 55 million babies murdered in their mother's womb

- Same-sex marriage imposed by judicial tyranny

- The Constitution shredded by secularist elites - Red ink as far as the eye can see - The exaltation and normalization of Homosexuality

- The Pledge of Allegiance forbidden - The moral collapse of the Boy Scouts of America - Christmas carols banned - The Ten Commandments stripped from public schools and federal buildings - America is drenched with porn

[...]

The refusal by a nation to be instructed and led by God brings one estrangement from Him, "and that estrangement is an estrangement from life that must be corrected at once" if disaster is to be avoided. As long as secularists usurp ultimate rule of America, "there is impotence, unrighteousness and dependence upon the forces which would destroy us. It is only when we come to the end of ourselves and acknowledge God's right to rule our lives that we can experience the divine empowerment for righteousness."

"The Red Sea looked at this and ran away. The Jordan River turned back" (Psalm 114:3) points to the good news. America is coming to a glorious day when, by a stupendous miracle, the God of Heaven and Earth will demonstrate His ability to remove every obstacle in the way of a spiritual resurrection, a restoring of America to her Judeo-Christian heritage by reestablishing a Biblical-based culture.

God will subdue every enemy; we simply must find a Gideon or Rahab willing to stand.

Ray Comfort: You Can't Trust a Declared Atheist With Political Authority

Evangelist Ray Comfort was discussing his new book and his recent efforts to witness to atheists with Bott Radio Network's Janet Mefferd on Tuesday when the hostess noted there has never been an atheist president, and there are currently no atheists in Congress.

"I don't know if you've heard the saying, 'Religion has caused more wars than anything.' That's a favorite of atheists, and it just isn't true," he said. "According to Encyclopedia of Wars, published in 2004, there's been 1,763 wars up until 2004. Only 8 percent were religious wars, and two-thirds were in the name of Islam, so 92 percent of all wars have been more political in nature ...

"So, while we're talking atrocities, wars and deaths, atheists have caused 110 million deaths in the last hundred years. Stalin, 60 million—he was an atheist. Mao, 40 million, and he was an atheist. Pol Pot, 1.7 million, he was an atheist. Vladimir Lenin, 5 million people slaughtered, he was an atheist. So, when people realize that, you can't trust an atheist in a position of authority, especially politically."

Comfort said atheists can certainly appear to be "nice people" when they are first met, but given power, they will "do what they want and carry out their own agendas." He said atheists "don't have any moral high ground to stand on because they're not standing on any whatsoever."

"The irony is that the polls tell us people put atheists on a par with rapists," he added. "They say, 'Why is that? Don't people realize how intellectual we are?'

"If you study it and think about it, there are certain things Americans hold dear to them ... Atheists are suing Christians for things they hold dear to them. A judge has the Ten Commandments on the wall in his courtroom, he gets sued. A sheriff, if he has 'In God We Trust'—which is our national motto—on a sticker on his car, he gets taken to court. Bible verses on government sites, they get sued."

Mefferd also noted that millennials who are just now joining the American electorate are less likely to see atheism as repugnant, a point Comfort brought up in his book, as well. She wondered how that might impact the political landscape in the future, perhaps leading to an atheist president or member of Congress.

"Well, the irony is that even those millennials prefer to vote for a Christian than an atheist," he said. "It's a call to Christians to say, 'Hey, let's stop sitting in our pews and relaxing. We've got to get out there.' Jesus would go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature and not wait for people to come into the church. You've got as much chance of an atheist or young person visiting a church as you have a criminal visiting the police station. It's the last place they want to go."

Comfort said there is need for "fire in our pulpits." Pastors who don't preach about sin, righteousness and judgment are filling their churches with false converts.

"Government should come to the church for moral guidance," he added. "We should be salt on this earth. Yet, when salt has lost its flavor, Jesus said it would be trampled under the foot of men. That's exactly what has happened to the church."

Comfort's latest book is titled Fat Chance: Why Pigs Will Fly Before America has an Atheist President.

Every Christian doesn't judge...I only account for myself. Not every Muslim is a terrorist. Not every teenager gets into a lot of trouble or goes to jail. Everyone is different. However we will know them by their fruits. The POTUS says that we are not a Christian nation anymore, so that doesn't sound like he is a Christian. He believes what the Muslims believe and they are not Christians. The bible is the word of GOD and it has a lot to say about homosexuals or the sexually immoral. Righteous judgment is acceptable. We are to confess our sins one to another. We are to be accountable as well

Harold Camping #fundie charismanews.com

Harold Camping got it all wrong with his repeated end of the world predictions. And now he's admitting it.

The board of Family Radio posted the following letter from Camping, which should put an end to the doom, gloom and drama:

Dear Family Radio Family,

In this time of confusion and turmoil, God’s Word remains the only truth in which we can trust. God has shown us again the truth that He alone is true. In Romans 3:4 God declares: "Let God be true but every man a liar." Events within the last year have proven that no man can be fully trusted. Even the most sincere and zealous of us can be mistaken.

The May 21 campaign was an astounding event if you think about its impact upon this world. There is no question that millions, if not billions of people heard for the first time the Bible’s warning that Jesus Christ will return. Huge portions of this world that had never read or seen a Bible heard the message the Christ Jesus is coming to rapture His people and destroy this natural world.

Yes, we humbly acknowledge we were wrong about the timing; yet though we were wrong God is still using the May 21 warning in a very mighty way. In the months following May 21 the Bible has, in some ways, come out from under the shadows and is now being discussed by all kinds of people who never before paid any attention to the Bible. We learn about this, for example, by the recent National Geographic articles concerning the King James Bible and the apostles. Reading about and even discussing about the Bible can never be a bad thing, even if the Bible’s authenticity is questioned or ridiculed. The world’s attention has been called to the Bible.

We must also openly acknowledge that we have no new evidence pointing to another date for the end of the world. Though many dates are circulating, Family Radio has no interest in even considering another date. God has humbled us through the events of May 21, to continue to even more fervently search the Scriptures (the Bible), not to find dates, but to be more faithful in our understanding.

We have learned the very painful lesson that all of creation is in God’s hands and He will end time in His time, not ours! We humbly recognize that God may not tell His people the date when Christ will return, any more than He tells anyone the date they will die physically.

We realize that many people are hoping they will know the date of Christ’s return. In fact for a time Family Radio fell into that kind of thinking. But we now realize that those people who were calling our attention to the Bible’s statement that "of that day and hour knoweth no man" (Matthew 24:36 & Mark 13:32), were right in their understanding of those verses and Family Radio was wrong. Whether God will ever give us any indication of the date of His return is hidden in God’s divine plan.

We were even so bold as to insist that the Bible guaranteed that Christ would return on May 21 and that the true believers would be raptured. Yet this incorrect and sinful statement allowed God to get the attention of a great many people who otherwise would not have paid attention. Even as God used sinful Balaam to accomplish His purposes, so He used our sin to accomplish His purpose of making the whole world acquainted with the Bible. However, even so, that does not excuse us. We tremble before God as we humbly ask Him for forgiveness for making that sinful statement. We are so thankful that God is so loving that He will forgive even this sin.

So we must be satisfied to humbly wait upon God, and trust He will guide His people to safety. At Family Radio, we continue to look to God for guidance. If it is His good pleasure for us to continue on with our original mission, the proclamation of the Gospel, God’s Word, then we must continue to look to Him.

We consider you to be a real part of this ministry and the tremendous opportunities which God, by His unfathomable mercy and grace, continues to give to us. And, your steadfast involvement and support is so appreciated!

May God bless you,
Harold Camping and the staff of Family Radio

Pastor: Preaching Against Homosexuality Akin to Preaching Against Slavery

Baptist pastor said at the denominations summit earlier this week.

The setting was the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty summit. The topic: preaching about homosexuality in the gay rights era.

Summit Church’s Pastor J.D. Greear certainly got the audience's attention when he started making comparisons between preaching against homosexuality in modern days to preaching against slavery in the 1800s.

With the hashtag #erlcsummit, RNS’s Sarah Pulliam Bailey quoted Greear on Twitter as saying, “Preaching against homosexuality is about as popular as preaching against slavery in South Carolina in the 1800s.”

Another tweeter, Ruth Graham (@publicroad) wrote, “@jdegreear compares preaching against homosexuality today to preaching against slavery in South Carolina in 1861."

So who is this brave pastor? Greear became the pastor of a church called Homestead Heights Baptist Church in 2002. According to his bio, he led a 40-year-old, plateaued church of 300 to re-launch itself with a new name and a new vision to reach its community and world with the gospel. Now, over 8,000 worshippers gather weekly, making The Summit Church one of Outreach magazine’s “top 25 fastest-growing churches in America” for several years running.

Agreed Mr. Snyder. Well, folks, I believe it is time to start the drum roll of the march, for us believers, we are soon to be with our King, but not yet. What am I talking about? The end! The Lord told me shortly after the new year that people have ignored Him, his messengers, his church, and because of this willfull disobedience, God said to me I will speak to them through the Earth.
Things are going to be happening that has never happened before.
About 10 years ago, the Lord told me of a great shaking to take place. I took this literally and have been trying to win souls like crazy and warning people. To my dismay, life is just going on.
I believe God intends to shake things up, but at the same time, I believe a spiritual shaking to take place a revival of revivals. Healing is coming, but unfortunately, God has to open the wound to be able to apply the healing salve.

Ex-Gay Reveals the Horrific Sexual Abuse That Marred His Identity

Kegan Wesley's testimony is one of the most powerful you'll hear. Now a popular speaker, he was once a scared child who was horrifically raped by multiple men—and his friends.

"I remember after, you know, the men were finished with me, I went outside and (I was) physically hurting, emotionally hurting, not knowing where to go or who to go to," Wesley recalls. "And if I went to somebody, what would I say?"

Thus Wesley embraced what he thought was his identity—that is, a member of the gay community.

But God wasn't about to let him get away.

Watch his incredible testimony.

(On an article regarding the movement to resist and impeach Donald trump.)

REV 19:He (Jesus) treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty....this is no longer speaking of his own blood, but the blood of his enemies....war is inevitable....then, peace will come....come (birds of the air), gather together for the great supper of God, that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small. Solomon's kingdom would never have manifested if it wasn't for the preceding wars of King David, the father.

[Another person calls Alex out for inciting violence.]

I do not advocate violence but there is such a thing as righteous judgement "with justice he wages war". To say that God is only Mercy is wrong. The Lord The Lord God. A compassionate and merciful God. SLOW to anger and abounding in loving kindness and truth; who keeps loving kindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity and transgressions and sins. YET HE WILL BY NO MEANS LET THE GUILTY GO UNPUNISHED....God himself described who he is in these verses. He is not just the LAMB, but also THE LION OF JUDAH.

[Deleted comment.]

Pretty much everything God does, good or bad, he does thru human beings. I cringe when I hear the atrocities of ISIS, but I also believe that they might be in part God's judgement on a world which has shunned him.

[A different person calls Alex on his bloodthirsty BS.]

no one is advocating violence, false accuser and devil. Your pride and arrogance gives you no right to sit on God's throne to judge me or anyone else on this thread. I notice you shoot off your big mouth without addressing the scriptures I put before you in this thread. My point is that, although incredibly long-suffering and patient, God is not Mercy only. He is a righteous king (judge). And just like there is divine Mercy, there is also divine Judgement waiting for those evil-doers who refuse to repent, be washed in the blood and sanctified in the Word. God is not beheading ANYBODY, but his hand of protection can be removed in order that judgement take place.

[Person #2 doesn't back down, demands Alex admit he's advocating violence.]

Don't forget, I called you a devil too. I also said God is not beheading ANYBODY, as the devil (that would be you) falsely accuses me of. But why argue? Let God's Word speak for itself : AND WHEN THEY FORGOT THE LORD THEIR GOD, HE (GOD) SOLD THEM INTO THE LAND OF SISERA AND INTO THE HAND OF THE PHILISTINES AND INTO THE HAND OF MOAB, AND THEY FOUGHT AGAINST THEM. God also sold Israel to Assyria and Babylon for their unrepentence. When we forget God and mock him (as the vast majority of America and the entire world is doing today), when we pile up aborted babies by the tens of millions, when those who are called priests live homosexual lifestyles and abuse children in despicable manner (those would be the priests of the Catholic religion which you follow), when we call good bad and bad good (homosexual marriage), God's hand of protection is removed and we too will be judged and given into the hands of our enemies (ISIS).

[Person #2 and a third person remind Alex that god doesn't make ISIS behead people.]

And you need to learn about repentance and that we are called to such, even as we are washed in the blood of Jesus. Otherwise, you remain a child on milk, never having matured into righteousness. Or do you not know that evil doers will not enter the Kingdom of God? Get YOUR theology straight!

Mike W #fundie charismanews.com

You completely miss the point. Of course there will always be hypocrites who will attempt to bend and misuse the scriptures to justify their own position. We have exactly the same situation today where some people claim that God does not condemn homosexuality as a sin. These people are hypocrites. The Bible always condemned the type of slavery that was practiced in the U.S. and some other Western nations for a short while. E.g. Ex 21:16. This form of slavery was a product of Muslim doctrine and slavery practices that greedy people in the West took to their own and then tried to justify, exactly as people try to justify the immoral practices these days that denigrate and disrespect sexual fidelity. People will wake up long before fifty years are up because the lies regarding homosexuality that are promulgated these days are profound and slowly becoming more obvious to even the most ignorant.

From violent video games filled with bloody action to blockbuster films that focus on teens fighting in a contest until only one "winner" survives, today's youth have been raised in a culture of death—even becoming desensitized to disturbing images and concepts.

It's impossible, says author and religion and culture expert Dr. Alex McFarland, to be embroiled in this culture of death and at the same time, embrace Christianity—the epitome of new life and hope.

McFarland speaks to and works with thousands of young people every year, and communicates to them the hope of Jesus Christ. In his newest book, The God You Thought You Knew: Exposing the 10 Biggest Myths About Christianity, McFarland dispels the myths and untruths about Christianity and replaces that with the truth of who God really is.

"Young people are leaving behind their faith at alarming rates, and it's no wonder," said McFarland said, who recently penned the column 'Valuing Life, in a Culture of Death' for CNSNews.com. "Very little shocks our youth anymore, as they are faced with violent images all their lives. We know that hope and life only comes from Jesus Christ, and His way of living is the only way. Through The God You Thought You Knew and events geared specifically toward youth, we hope to renew their faith in Christ and give them reason to embrace life in Him rather than hopelessness and death."

According to a new study released earlier this month by the Pew Research Center, young people entering adulthood are growing in the ranks of nonreligious adults. Millennials, the study found, are, in many ways, far less religious than their parents' and grandparents' generations.

"For example," according to Pew Research, "two-thirds of adults in the Silent generation say religion is 'very important' in their lives and that they pray every day, as do about six-in-ten Baby Boomers and more than half of Generation Xers. By comparison with older adults, Millennials exhibit far lower rates of involvement with religion. Fewer than half of older Millennials (adults now in their late 20s and early 30s) and roughly four-in-ten younger Millennials (adults now in their late teens and early 20s) say religion is very important to them and that they pray daily. And a majority of Millennials say they attend religious services a few times a year at most."

Oftentimes, McFarland adds, young people leave their childhood beliefs behind or shun Christianity altogether because of the myths and untruths they've heard about faith. In The God You Thought You Knew, available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle formats, McFarland works to dispel those myths with 10 truths:

Myth #1: Christianity is intolerant and judgmental toward others.

Truth: Christianity teaches to love neighbor as self and to share the love of Jesus with others.

Myth #2: Christianity cannot be true because of the evil and suffering in our world.

Truth: Christianity offers the best hope and power to deal with suffering.

Myth #3: Christianity is untrue because it is based on faith instead of facts.

Truth: The claims of Christianity are based on historical facts that can be tested.

Myth #4: Christianity has been disproven by modern science.

Truth: The latest scientific evidence points to an intelligent designer behind all creation.

Myth #5: Christianity is not a religion for the educated.

Truth: Many of the world's top past and present scholars are Christians.

Myth #6: Christianity is boring and would be a waste of my time.

Truth: Christianity is the most adventurous life a person can experience.

Myth #7: Christianity isn't real because it didn't work for me.

Truth: The Christian faith is difficult, yet also the most rewarding way of life.

Myth #8: Christianity is false because it is based on the Bible, which is filled with errors and contradictions.

Truth: The Bible is the most accurately preserved book in history.

Myth #9: Christianity can't be true because it is based on a dead man coming back to life.

Truth: If the best explanation for the empty tomb of Jesus is the resurrection, then Christianity can be true.

Myth #10: Christianity isn't real because a loving God wouldn't send anyone to hell.

Truth: God has made great efforts to make sure many will spend eternity with him.

Egghead scientists want you to believe that the sun is 93 million miles away, but simple trigonometry proves that it is much closer.

On the equinox at solar noon, the sun is directly over the equator at a spot due south from me. That means that the equator, the sun, and I form a right triangle, so if I know my distance to the equator and if I can measure the angle of the sun, then I can calculate the distance to the sun.

So I borrowed a sextant on the equinox and measured the angle of the sun at solar noon, and it came out as 53.6°, which I would expect since I am at 36.4° latitude. Valle Hermosa, Ecuador is roughly 2517.9 miles due south from me. So, if I plug in the values into this simple trigonometric formula and solve for the distance to the sun, I get the following:

tan(T) = Opposite / Adjacent
tan(53.6) = Opposite / 2517.9 miles
1.356 = Opposite / 2517.9 miles
Opposite ˜ 3414.3 miles

So, the sun is a mere 3414.3 miles overhead.

What in the world is happening to America? Recently, I was asked to describe what we are watching happen to our nation. After thinking about it, I have come to the conclusion that it is almost as if a "cloud of insanity" has descended upon the United States and much of the rest of the Western world.

From our top leaders on down, people are engaged in incredibly self-destructive behavior and are making extremely irrational decisions. Some would describe it as being given over to a depraved mind, and I would have to agree. It is almost as if some sort of severe form of mental illness were rapidly spreading through the air and infecting everyone. Virtually every day I am immersed in news and current events, and it can be difficult to shock me after all this time. But lately, there have been quite a few stories that have stunned even me. The following are a few of those stories:

1. A 27-year-old woman in Maryland is hoping to "normalize naked breasts" by running around in public without any clothing on the upper half of her body. So far, she says that she has not been arrested and no men have tried to touch her inappropriately.

2. It is being reported that "sex roulette parties" are becoming increasingly popular in the Western world. The concept behind these parties is that there is someone in attendance who is secretly HIV positive, and everyone engages in unprotected sex with others in the room without knowing who that particular individual is.

3. The obsession with body art in the Western world is officially getting out of control. A couple of the hottest trends right now among those that are into "body modification" are to tattoo your eyeballs and split your tongue.

4. A Catholic archbishop from St. Louis recently testified in court that he "wasn't sure whether he knew it was illegal for priests to have sex with children."

5. All over the nation, colleges and universities are holding workshops and events to promote "polyamory" as "an acceptable lifestyle choice" to our young people. According to Wikipedia, polyamory is "the practice of, or desire for, intimate relationships involving more than two people, with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved."

6. With each passing year, the level of debt slavery in this country gets even worse. The average American household with debt now owes approximately $131,000 and is paying out about $6,000 a year in interest.

7. A dangerous form of synthetic marijuana is popping up in many American cities these days, and it sends many of the users into zombie-like states.

Investigators in Clearwater described a scene out of The Walking Dead; people slumped over in such a stupefied state they could hardly move or speak. It was a patrol becoming too routine in Crest Lake Park as officers respond to a growing number of Spice, or synthetic marijuana, overdose calls.

Police say dozens of calls have come in for people who have had to be rushed to the hospital because of suspected Spice use. Tampa medical and law enforcement professionals warned last week about a dangerous uptick in overdoses possibly linked to a bad batch of the drug. Clearwater investigators aren't ruling out a connection to the Tampa cases.

8. According to some progressives, identifying yourself as an "American" is now considered to be a "microaggression" and should be avoided because it might offend minority groups.

9. Even though we can see what socialism has done to Venezuela, North Korea and dozens of other failed regimes throughout history, young Americans are embracing it with gusto. In fact, one survey recently found that a majority of American young adults under the age of 30 say that they completely reject capitalism.

10. The Obama administration has just issued new "guidelines" that require public schools all across America "to allow transgender students to use the restroom and locker rooms that correspond to their chosen gender." So 55 years after President John F. Kennedy declared that we would put men on the moon, Barack Obama is declaring that we will put men somewhere else where they have never been before.

11. One anonymous member of Congress identified only as "Congressman X" is making waves by putting out a new book that explains what really goes on behind the scenes in Washington. The New York Post has published some new quotes from this book, and a couple of them are quite stunning.

Congress is too polarized and partisan to get anything done, by the congressman's account.

"There seems to be a complete disintegration of confidence in government. A fear that government is its own special interest," he says.

"America's on an irreversible decline and no one in Washington seems to care ... ."

When even members of the U.S. Congress start admitting that our nation is in "an irreversible decline," you know that the party is just about over.

12. When you look up the term "corrupt politician" in the dictionary, photographs of Bill and Hillary Clinton should be right there. Bill has a history of well-documented sexual escapades that goes back for decades, and both of them should be serving long prison sentences for a shocking series of horrible crimes that goes all the way back to the 1970s. But the American people are willingly ignoring all of this, and if the election were to be held today, it is almost certain that Hillary Clinton would be the next president of the United States.

Ultimately, we get the leaders we deserve, and I am not just talking about the White House.

If you look at Congress today, they very much reflect who we are as a nation, and it isn't a pretty picture.

One of the big reasons why there is so much craziness in America today is because there is no longer a shared set of values or morals that unites us. You would like to think that we should all be able to at least agree on the U.S. Constitution, but in law school I learned that courts routinely ignore the Constitution whenever it suits them. In fact, we might as well not even have a Constitution anymore because hardly anyone in the legal community takes it seriously these days.

Without any foundation to stand on, it is inevitable that our nation will crumble. The widespread insanity that we are witnessing is simply the acceleration of a process of decay that has been in motion for decades.

I would like to think that we could turn things around, but at this point, I am not very optimistic.

What about you?
