funnily enough, for as much as this initial post claims that homosexual animals would somehow post a challenge to trans people, in the comments on it one can clearly see, that they don’t believe in them:
Animals tend to be more opportunistic than actually homosexual.
This is especially true in the avian world. Many cocks will seem to pair up, but when a hen is introduced, typically all hell will break loose.
How about a compromise? Other animals don't have the mental capacity for a "sexuality". None of them are so-called "heterosexual", or "homosexual". They simply are 😉
Tbh, I’ve always been a bit skeptical of the whole “animals are gay too” bit. Like I think it could be a possibility in certain select species, sure, but I don’t believe it’s the same as it is in humans. Like, the gay lion isn’t putting his penis in the anus of the other gay lion, ya? And if they’re not recording actual homosexual sex between animals it could just be projection and anthropomorphism of what they think an animal is doing.
