The OP should look into Calvinism. Calvinists deny the existence of free will. It is simply the whim of God who goes to hell or to heaven.
I believe a hell of sorts does exist, and I don't mean that metaphorically. I believe this for personal reasons, and I'm always impressed by the atheists here who respect me enough or at least respect other people's beliefs enough to at least not poke fun at something this serious to me.
I have seen Gehenna. It's a place where you, if you're ever unlucky enough to go there, must look at yourself through the eyes of others and through the emotions of others. No one who leaves that place ever leaves the same. It's up to them what they do with the information they received, but I suspect most would never want a repeat performance.
The worst punishments of Gehenna are reserved for those who knew better but did worse. True monsters are very rare. But those who deadened their consciences to follow unjust orders are a dime a dozen.
What I discovered is when you disfigure your soul like that, there is no going back. You may be freed from Gehenna someday, but you will be a shadow of your former self.
Every cruelty you do will be requited of you.
The person who wrote the original post on some level wants her family to go to hell - to a permanent hell of fire and torture. It says more about the author then it would ever say about the Creator that her version of hell is a nightmare that never ends. She would do better praying for herself, that whatever cruelty caused her to imagine this hell for her family should be purged from her soul before it's too late.
