Alex Bailey #transphobia #psycho lgbtqnation.com

A man has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to charges connected to beating an 86-year-old woman suffering from early-onset dementia for 42 minutes and then pushing her into an outdoor garbage bin in Dublin, Ireland. He said he thought that she was transgender and therefore was “a predatory pedophile,” repeating language often used by anti-transgender activists.

Alex Bailey, 30, said that he had taken so many drugs that night that he was in a state of “induced psychosis” and believed that the victim, Marie MacGowan, was a “man dressed up as a woman,” according to the Irish Times. She was actually trying to find her way home and was lost when she was attacked around 2 a.m.

CCTV footage shows that he spent over an hour harassing her and beating her sporadically over a period of 42 minutes. He knocked her to the ground during this time.

She got up and he pushed her head-first into a garbage bin. He tried to close the garbage bin’s lid on her, and it fell over. When she got out, Bailey punched her in the face and kicked her, police told the court.

Center for Combating Extremism (CPE) and unnamed Nizhny Novgorod activists #homophobia #transphobia #wingnut lgbtqnation.com

Reports from Russia indicate a young woman in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, east of Moscow, has been arrested and charged for wearing rainbow-colored earrings in violation of the country’s new law declaring the “international LGBT public movement” an extremist organization

A court found her guilty of wearing “prohibited symbols”

According to Aegis, a human rights organization in Russia, a group of aggressive individuals approached the young woman and her male companion in a local cafe after noticing the young woman’s earrings and a Ukrainian flag pin worn by the young man. The earrings were in the shape of a frog and featured a rainbow of seven colors

A man filming the confrontation asked the couple, “Do you know what the situation is in our country?” and tried to snatch the flag pin from the young man’s clothing[…]
Following the incident, the recording appeared on social media, and the young woman was summoned for questioning by officials with the Center for Combating Extremism (CPE). CPE is a unit within the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, and has harassed activists, journalists, and other opposition groups that criticize the government

A statement from the Sormovsky District Court indicated a case opened against the young woman under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 Code of Administrative Offenses. The code is a group of Kafkaesque laws and punishment guidelines dedicated to “combating extremism” in Russia, often used against mass media and non-governmental groups

The young woman’s lawyer said the court did not say which extremist organization’s symbol she had displayed[…]
The human rights organization noted the woman’s arrest came soon after the leader of a radical online hate group, called the Male State, shared video of the cafe confrontation on the group messaging app Telegram

In November, acting on a request from[…]Ministry of Justice, the[…]Supreme Court declared the international gay rights movement an “extremist organization”

Candace Owens #transphobia #dunning-kruger #conspiracy #wingnut #racist lgbtqnation.com

At a speaking engagement, right-wing pundit Candace Owens went on a racist and anti-trans rant against Native Americans in response to an audience member’s question about Two-Spirit people.

The audience member asked Owens how she could believe trans identities are somehow a new trend fueled by the media when Two-Spirit Native Americans have existed for thousands of years.

Two-Spirit is an umbrella term used in Native American communities to describe those who do not conform to their sex assigned at birth and who are said to possess both a male and female spirit. Two-Spirit people were once considered healers and shamans, but colonization led to their marginalization. Many communities, however, are working to revive their sacred roles.

Owens had never heard of Two-Spirit people, and she responded to the question with a series of derogatory comments about Native Americans.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about with Two-Spirit people,” she said. “Is this like a Native American tribe, like high smoking and talking about your spirit? I’m asking you seriously, because when I think of Native American tribes talking about their spirits, I know that they used to smoke a lot, they used to do drugs, they also were cannibals who used to eat people, so I don’t know if we should be taking our cues from cannibals.”

Owens then denied the audience member’s claim that it is basic historical knowledge that there were trans native Americans.

“I don’t think that there were trans native Americans,” she said, before the audience member told her to educate herself.

“This demon should be burned to death and everyone responsible for that library event should be in prison,” he wrote about a drag queen who read books to children in 2017.

“People who encourage a kid to think he’s a different sex than what he is (including parents) go to jail for child abuse,” he wrote last year, adding that “the death penalty” is appropriate for “people who perform or abet sex change operations on kids,” even though no one even does that.

Candace Owens #transphobia #psycho lgbtqnation.com

Far-right pundit Candace Owens smiled as she said that she would beat her hypothetical transgender grandchild with a cane if they came out to her[…]
On the February 16 episode of her Daily Wire podcast, Owens discussed a story of a trans teen named Mike being rejected by their grandmother, calling the story “funny”[…]
“She cries because she’s told her grandma that she’s transitioning and that she wants her grandmother to start calling her ‘Michael,'” Owens said mockingly, getting Mike’s name wrong. “And her sweet little grandma said that she’s not gonna do that”

Owens then played the video of Mike crying and explaining the situation and how they got a letter from their grandmother deadnaming them and complaining about the “anguish” that Mike’s transition is causing her

“My anguish in your chosen name and what that means has to do with your eternal soul,” the grandmother wrote. She also said that she is “spending time with Jesus in adoration” because of her “concern” for the teen’s soul and said that she asked the teen’s five minor cousins to pray for them, effectively outing the teen to their family

Owens then called Mike “mentally ill” and said that the grandmother was right to reject their identity. Owens said that “there’s no rejection here” because of the grandmother’s “love the sinner, hate the sin” schtick

“You’re the best grandma ever, by the way. Because when I’m grandma, I get any foolishness like that, I don’t know,” Owens said, smiling. “I wanna be a sweet grandma, I really do, I wanna be a sweet old lady, but I feel like I may be the kind to hit somebody with a cane, I don’t know, I’d be like ‘Hey you want me to call you Michael?’ P-shew. That would probably be me”

Sergei Markov #wingnut #conspiracy #homophobia lgbtqnation.com

“Military theorists and historians know which army in Greece was the strongest, remember? The Spartans! They were united by a homosexual brotherhood. They were all homos. These were the politics of their leadership. I think they are planning the same for Ukraine’s Armed Forces,” Sergei Markov, a former adviser to Putin, said while appearing on Russian TV.

Markov said the U.S. and Ukraine will use “neuro-linguistic programming” and other brainwashing techniques to turn Ukrainian soldiers gay against their will. In reality, there’s no evidence that psychological methods can change a person’s sexual orientation.

“They have an artificial political science fascism created by American and British political technologists. They will turn them into zombies, into cult members. I think they will force some to become homosexuals,” Markov claimed.

“These renewed troops of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, zombified and unified through gay sex, along with cult members ready to sacrifice themselves. This is what they’re preparing for us in the spring 2025,” he added.

Conservative host Charlie Kirk claims the trans movement wants to turn us all into machines

In a bizarre anti-trans rant, conservative talk show host Charlie Kirk recently claimed that transgender people are trying to turn human beings into machines.

“The transgender movement is an introductory phase to get you to strip yourself of your humanity to mesh with machines,” he said.

“It’s called trans humanism. They want you to say, ‘ok, well I can choose any gender, why can’t I just have an exoskeleton of some sort of machine around me?”‘

Kirk claimed turning human beings into machines is one of the major goals of Silicon Valley and tech advances like the metaverse.

“This is why they’re so insistent on this transgender thing,” he said. “Because if you stop being a man, then maybe you can stop being a human being. Maybe you can just plug into some sort of machine.”

Kirk expressed fears that somehow the transgender movement is leading to a world where we plug into a machine all day and are controlled by companies.

“Like Ready Player One meets Inception,” he said.

Odalys Heredia #ableist #conspiracy #crackpot #fundie #homophobia #transphobia lgbtqnation.com

When a 20-year-old man with autism went missing, a Florida woman and her sister told police that he had been kidnapped by a transgender gang who wanted to harvest and sell his organs.

It turned out that he voluntarily got on a bus to Chicago to escape his controlling mother. [A note was found where her son Alejandro Suarez said he was leaving. She called the police.]

When Suarez’s aunt, Yadira Saleh, contacted police, she wrote, “Alejandro’s mother’s greatest fear is he may be in danger of organ trafficking or any other trafficking,” adding that he “was worked and groomed for weeks or months” by “predatory gender non-conformists” who encouraged him to “cut all ties with family members,” Heredia also told police that her son “has the mentality of a 10-year-old and is unable to function on his own,” adding that he couldn’t have left town on his own because he “had no friends, and was unable to socialize with anyone other than family.” [Evidence suggests she greatly exaggerated her son’s disablities.]

Suarez said his mother controlled what classes he took and what sports he played in school. She also required him to keep his hair short, and urged him never to sit with his legs crossed because it could cause gay men to hit on him, he said. Suarez also had transgender friends. On July 11, Heredia and Saleh asked a probate court to sign an order granting full guardianship over him which would have allowed them to control where he lived, his purchases, and his right to marry, vote, or make medical decisions for himself. A legal hearing declined the women their request for full guardianship. “I really do feel like I have room to breathe now,” Suarez told the aforementioned publication.

Crystal Alonso #homophobia lgbtqnation.com

An anti-LGBTQ Moms for Liberty activist told MSNBC that she believes LGBTQ students should have separate classes from straight and cisgender students in schools.

(…)

“The kids that do have their, you know, they’re confused, or they are gay or whatnot,” said Moms for Liberty Miami-Dade member Crystal Alonso, “that the way they’re trying to go about it is to make it an open conversation and an open thing in classrooms.”

“But like for example children with autism, Down Syndrome, they have to have special IP meetings with a counselor, they have to be put into separate classrooms. I understand, because it’s a different type of education for children with those disabilities, but I think that for children that identify differently, there should also be like a specialized… something for them, so that they feel that they’re important enough that they’re being counseled.”

(…)

Later in the show, Moms for Liberty Miami-Dade chapter chair Eulalia Jimenez said that kids are being “influenced to be gay.”

“I believe that the gay community has felt invalidated and left out,” she said. “And, rightfully so, they want their place.”

“But again, why does this need to be imposed on young children?”

Nick Fuentes #homophobia #crackpot #elitist lgbtqnation.com

Prominent white supremacist Nick Fuentes is claiming that men and women having sex with one another is gay, and that being celibate is the only way for a man to truly be straight.

“Think about it this way: What’s gayer than being like ‘I need cuddles. I need kisses… I need to spend time with a woman.’ That’s very sus,” Fuentes said in a December 2021 episode that resurfaced on social media. “‘I need to spend time with a woman!’ That’s a little sus.”

Earlier this year, Fuentes admitted to his followers that he kissed a girl when he was in high school, which made him lose incel credibility. He said that he never wanted to kiss a woman again, which only fanned the flames since that makes him a voluntary celibate pretty much by definition.

So on America First, he defended his identity as an incel.

“Gay people do date girls all the time,” he said. “All these gay people are coming out and saying, ‘I’ve had more girlfriends than Nick. I’ve had sex with more girls than Nick.’”

“That actually makes me really more heterosexual than anyone,” Fuentes said.

“If we’re really being honest, never having a girlfriend, never having sex with a woman really makes you more heterosexual, because honestly, dating women is gay, having sex with women is gay. And having sex with men is gay. Really it’s all gay.”

“The only really straight heterosexual position is to be an asexual incel,” he said, not using the term “asexual” correctly (asexual people aren’t attracted to any gender, whether or not they’re celibate). “That’s it. That’s all there is. Being a MGTOW [men going their own way, another word for the misogynist online subculture] incel is really the straightest position that you can have.”

“Having sex in itself is gay, I think. I think that it’s really a gay act,” he said. “I think, really, I’m like the straightest guy.”

Vladimir Putin, re: J.K. Rowling #wingnut #transphobia lgbtqnation.com

Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has finally found a high-profile defender for her blatant transphobia and ugly attacks on trans civil rights.

It’s Russian President Vladimir Putin, currently the most despised man in the world.

The dictator bemoaned western “cancel culture” during his speech, complaining that Russian contributions to World War II were “canceled” from American textbooks and that the Japanese textbooks don’t give Russia enough credit for being part of the allied powers. Germany had a non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union until Adolf Hitler invaded in 1941, killing millions of Soviet soldiers. But Putin’s modern-day example of cancel culture doesn’t normally rank with Hitler. While Rowling has destroyed her reputation as the author of a beloved children’s series about tolerance and acceptance, she hasn’t committed genocide.

“They canceled JK Rowling, the children’s author recently,” Putin whined. “Her books are published all over the world. Just because she didn’t satisfy the demands of gender rights.”

“They are now trying to cancel our country. I’m talking about the progressive discrimination of everything to do with Russia.”

MT State Rep. Theresa Manzella #homophobia lgbtqnation.com

A Republican lawmaker in Montana said that LGBTQ people who get beat up for holding hands in public are receiving the “normal consequences associated with the choices they made” and said that LGBTQ people “recruit young people” – a reference to child molestation -in a speech this week.

State Sen. Theresa Manzella (R) was speaking at a “God, Country, Family” event in Clinton, Montana about “the LGBTQ agenda” Wednesday night, defending real estate agent Brandon Huber. Huber is facing an ethics complaint with the Missoula Organization of Realtors for “hate speech” against LGBTQ people after he wrote a letter to his church denouncing a food bank’s Pride fliers.

At the event held at Huber’s Clinton Community Church, Manzella defended the real estate agent/pastor, saying that the Missoula Organization of Realtors “made an awfully big mistake because our founding documents make it clear that he most certainly has the right to stand on his sincerely held beliefs” by even entertaining the complaint, which will be adjudicated next month.

“My right to live a righteous lifestyle based on my sincerely held beliefs does not end where their choice to live a perverse lifestyle begins,” Manzella said, getting applause.

She didn’t stop attacking “alternative LGBTQ lifestyles” while defending the real estate agent, going so far as to accuse the LGBTQ population wanting to “recruit young people,” a reference to child molestation.

She said LGBTQ people “play the protected class card” by complaining about violence against them. She brought up how some queer people are afraid to hold hands with someone of the same sex in public out of fear of getting beat up.

“I’ve got to tell you, I think those are normal consequences associated with the choices they made,” Manzella said.

Many of the tweets under the handle – which used the name “J Reuben Clark” – repeated conspiracy theories about Jewish people, saying that they secretly run industries like media and banking and that they are involved in several plots against the “white race.”

Under the pseudonym in 2016, Cicotte wrote about when “real history was taught in school, angry yentas didn’t rule, white men didn’t play the fool.”

He kept on attacking Jewish people until this year, when he tweeted that Jewish Republicans trying to get Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) expelled from the House were trying “to combat the conspiracy theory that Jews run everything by getting any member of Congress they don’t like expelled from Congress.”

Cicotte expressed disdain for Black people, saying that the idea that racism exists is “purely a tool to control people on the right.” He asked followers to “try to think of an example of an accusation of racism that helped the right, or Christians, or whites in the last 10 years.”

“The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and its Consequences Have Been a Disaster for the Human Race,” he tweeted last year. He also said that he believed it’s not racist to say that “some racial groups have higher IQs than others” and called Black Lives Matter a “criminal enterprise that murders people and destroys property.”

Huckabay was incensed about an interview state Rep. Stephanie Hilferty (R) did with CNN about Garofalo’s comments. Huckabay decried Hilferty as a “RINO” (Republican In Name Only) for condemning the comments.

“Was their marriages in slavery? Were families and precious babies born (and I am talking about life itself) into or out of slavery? Were slave owners ever known to be ‘GOOD’ to their slaves? Were slaves ever known to LOVE their masters?” she posted in one of her multiple shares of video of the interview.

“Did generations of beautiful LIFE come from those who were sold into slavery, from Africa, and sold by Africans, make America the beautiful DIVERS culture it is today?” she continued.

“Was it true that some slaves never wanted to leave theIr plantation because it had become their home? Were some slaves treated with love and respect by their masters?”

Huckabay goes on to accuse Hilferty of being “indoctrinated by leftis marxisum education.”

Rev. Pat Robertson #homophobia #conspiracy lgbtqnation.com

Video of Pat Robertson making wild claims about HIV – including the bizarre idea that gay men have rings that cut people’s fingers when they shake hands so that they can transmit the virus to unsuspecting victims – has resurfaced in light of media attention on Rush Limbaugh’s toxic statements about HIV.

The segment of The 700 Club where Robertson made the statements was so outlandish that the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) even had it removed from video-sharing platforms at the time, including YouTube and Vimeo. But it has come back.
[…]
In the 2013 clip, Robertson takes a question from a woman who was bothered to find out that she a man she was driving to the hospital regularly for her church had HIV. She said she had even switched churches because she felt she should have been told that a person living with HIV was in her car.

Robertson started out by saying that HIV can’t be transmitted by sharing a car – which is true – before he descended into conspiracy theory territory.

“There are laws now, I think the homosexual community has put these draconian laws on the books to prohibit people from discussing this particular infection,” he said, referring to laws that never existed anywhere.
[…]
Later in his rant, he said, “I think people in the gay community, they want to get people. They’ll have a ring, and you shake hands, and the ring has a little thing where you cut your finger.”

Moreover, the Center for Christian Virtue wants Erin’s Law education to be abstinence-only, even though it’s not about sex, it’s about sexual abuse. The conservative Christians say that state law requires all sex education in the state to teach that abstinence is the best way to prevent sexual transmitted infections and prevent pregnancy.

“If we’re going to do that in the state of Ohio, it’s got to be abstinence-related,” said David Mahan of the Center for Christian Virtue. “It’s not opinion. It’s law.”

James Lindsay #conspiracy #transphobia #fundie lgbtqnation.com

Anti-LGBTQ+ activist James Lindsay thinks that drag queens (who he calls “groomer clowns”) are part of “an unconventional warfare tactic to provoke” conservatives into killing one. Such a killing, he says, would make the victim a “Drag Floyd,” basically a drag queen version of George Floyd, a Black man whose 2020 murder by police sparked national protests against institutional discrimination.

Lindsay — who has previously published hoax “research papers” seeking to discredit queer, gender, and critical race studies — made his comments while speaking during Turning Point USA’s annual Americafest conference. The organization’s founder, Charlie Kirk, has attacked transgender people and described opposition to religious exemptions as “fascism.”

“Drag queens are a provocation. It’s been an escalating provocation,” Lindsay said, accusing drag queens of first putting on makeup and reading to children before eventually progressing to “dancing,” “grinding,” “sexual dancing,” “twerking,” and “doing simulated sex acts in front of children.” Very few drag shows contain simulated sex acts, and all-ages drag shows often involve reading children’s books while fully clothed or other family-friendly entertainment.

He said the “real goal of Drag Queen Story Hour” is to teach kids “living queerly [and] strategic defiance” and to get adults to either accept their methods or to react too harshly against them on video in order to “smear” such opponents as inciters of anti-LGBTQ+ hate, Media Matters reported.

“The goal is to get you to give in so they get their way or overreact — and that’s where I say ‘Drag Floyd,'” Lindsay added. “It’s so important to understand that they want a drag queen to get attacked and they want to make a huge amount of hay of it and they want to create summer 2020 again off of a drag queen or a trans person or something like this.”

Lindsay made his comments while sitting on a panel with Kirk; Steve Bannon, an anti-LGBTQ+ former advisor to President Donald Trump; and Tim Pool, a podcaster who said that queer people are child molesters who are responsible for their own murders.

Ron Johnson #fundie #transphobia #kinkshaming lgbtqnation.com

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) is the latest Republican politician to insist that kids are using litter boxes in schools as part of a rant attacking transgender youth.

During a recent tele-town hall event, Johnson was questioned by a caller who claimed that his niece told him that her school had provided litter boxes for students who believe they are cats. The caller, who identified himself as a former Democrat, wanted to know whether the senator had heard about things like that happening and whether Johnson would support a federal law similar to Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law.

One of the things that COVID did was that parents were looking over their kids’ shoulders and they became aware of the indoctrination of our children by radical leftists within our education system,” he said.

He went on to claim that he’d heard “on a radio talk show” that England’s National Health Service (NHS) has declared that “transgenderism” is “just a phase for children” and that we shouldn’t “accommodate the phase.” Johnson continued his misinformed rant saying that children should not be given “gender-blocking drugs” or receive “sex change operations.” In reality, gender-affirming genital surgeries are not performed on minors.

Johnson concluded by claiming that teachers are “pushing this stuff on our kids.”

Duncan Urbanek #sexist #homophobia lgbtqnation.com

Now a far-right preacher known for his vile rants about the LGBTQ community is calling for men to burn their wives’ pants because, he says, it’s just a form of crossdressing.
Brother Duncan Urbanek spread the love of God by using anti-gay slurs and encouraging men to destroy their spouses’ possessions. Urbanek is a member of the Stedfast Baptist Church, one of the most vicious anti-LGBTQ hate groups in the nation. Church leaders have called for the execution of gay men and publicly celebrated tragedies that killed members of the LGBTQ community.

“People want to get so riled up… Yeah! F*gs are an abomination. God hates ’em,” he begins. “Well, didn’t it just say if you’re a crossdresser, you’re an abomination too?”

“Now obviously it’s not as bad as being a fa***t,” he continued, “But God is still very upset with your sin.”

“No what should we do about that, knowing this as Christians? If you’re a woman and you own any pants, throw them away. Light them on fire. If you’re a man and your wife has pants, throw them away. And if she yells at you, so be it. Throw them away. That’s a good fight to be in.”

“If I was caught wearing a dress and that was online,” he said as his strange rant continued, “I would do everything in my power to get rid of that picture. Like, man, I gotta find the owner of it and persuade him. I gotta pay him off. Like, man, please delete that picture.”

“You know, there is no picture of me wearing a dress,” he added quickly with a nervous chuckle, “because I’m never going to put one on. I don’t own any and I don’t want to wear any. And women should have that same standard.”

Jonathan Shelley #fundie #homophobia #psycho lgbtqnation.com

It turns out that a Texas pastor who called for the deaths of LGBTQ people – saying he “would love it if every fag would die right now” – preaches his disturbing rhetoric directly to young children.

Jonathan Shelley of the Stedfast Bible Church in Hurst, Texas can be seen in a disturbing video recently posted to the church’s YouTube channel going off on a hate-filled rant against LGBTQ people and “fornicators” directed at an audience of small children.

“Fornicators aren’t welcome in the church!” Shelley yells “So if there’s a whore she’s supposed to be thrown out until she repents and gets back in, and then on top of that, the sodomite’s never allowed in for any vow.”

“Love is love,” he then said in a mocking voice, “No. There’s no promise you could make, there’s nothing you can say, you’re never welcome go away. I just can’t wait until you just go to Hell.”

Shelley has declared that gay men are all pedophiles and once celebrated the death of a 75-year-old gay man. Jim Fahy, a member of the Fort Lauderdale Gay Men’s Chorus, was killed when a driver accidentally drove into the Wilton Manors Pride Parade.

“And, you know, it’s great when trucks accidentally go through those, you know, parades,” Pastor Shelley said about the tragedy. “I think only one person died. So hopefully we can hope for more in the future.”

“You say, ‘Well, that’s mean.’ Yeah, but the Bible says that they’re worthy of death!” he continued. “They say, ‘Are you sad when fags die?’ No. I think it’s great! I hope they all die! I would love it if every fag would die right now.”

“And you say, ‘Well, I don’t think that’s what you really mean.’ That’s exactly what I mean. I really mean it!”

In a video somehow meant to defend the church, Shelley declared that “one of the most evil, wicked things on this planet is men with men, that grotesque and disgusting abomination.”

He added, “I’ve never advocated violence towards any singular person…I’ve only ever advocated for the legal sanctioned death penalty for homosexuals.”

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin #transphobia lgbtqnation.com

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) called on school officials to out transgender and gender nonconforming students to their parents. Speaking at a “Parents Matter” rally on Wednesday, Youngkin criticized Fairfax County Public Schools’ Regulation 2603, which allows students to use the pronouns, restrooms, and other school facilities that correspond with their gender identity, and does not require school officials to notify parents of students’ transition.

“They think that parents have no right to know what your child is discussing with their teacher or their counselor,” Youngkin said, “particularly when some of the most important topics, most important topics that a child may want to discuss are being determined.”

“What’s their name? What pronoun will they use? How are they going to express their gender? This is a decision that bureaucrats in Fairfax County believe that they should be able to make without telling parents,” the governor continued.

Heerak Christian Kim, a self-described “MAGA America First” Republican House candidate from Virginia, recently posted a bizarre video in which he laughs about COVID-19 deaths, says the disease is God’s punishment for homosexuality in America, and that the only way to stop COVID-19 is to make homosexuality a national crime punishable by death.

[…]

He says, “This winter, 4,000 to 20,000 Americans will die. I’m just letting you know what’s going to happen.” After that, he laughs.

He then adds, “Many Christians believe that COVID-19 is punishment of God for homosexuality in America, and that’s why God killed one million-plus Americans through COVID.”

“Christians are saying until homosexuality is illegalized in the United States of America, Americans can expect God to punish America, send plague after plague, and COVID-19 is only like the first plague. And there are more plagues coming, you know.”

He then compares COVID-19 to the 10 plagues of Egypt mentioned in the Biblical Book of Exodus. In the story, God repeatedly sends plagues of frogs, locusts, darkness, and other things to torment the proud Pharaoh of Egypt until the Pharaoh finally does God’s bidding and releases all of the Jewish slaves.

[…]

On that note, Kim may soon disappear into political irrelevance since he received only 17 votes in his district’s May 21 Republican primary. The primary’s winner, Karina Lipsman, will face off against the Democratic incumbent Donald Sternoff Beyer Jr. and Independent candidate Teddy Fikre in the November 8 general election.

“You start hanging around with a bunch of fa***ts and lesbians, you know what they’re gonna do?” he continued. “They’re gonna ply you with alcohol or ply you with drugs and they’re going to abuse you.”

West Virginia delegate Eric Porterfield #fundie lgbtqnation.com

A Republican legislator said that he would drown his own kids is if they turned out to be gay.

West Virginia delegate Eric Porterfield appeared on WVVA, an NBC affiliate, to talk about homophobic comments he made last week, where he said that LGBTQ people are “a modern day version of the Ku Klux Klan.”

He wore a red MAGA cap – along with a shirt and tie – during the interview.

The reporter asked him what he would do if his son or daughter came out as gay.

“Well, I would dress my daughter first, as I would take her for a pedicure, I’d take her to get her nails done, and see if she could swim,” Porterfield said, smiling.

“If it was my son, I would probably take him hunting, I would take him fishing, then I’d see if he could swim,” Porterfield, still smiling.

The reporter asked him to clarify. “I just want to make sure they could swim,” he repeated when questioned, continuing to grin.

She again asked him to clarify, and he said, “That’s it. I’d take them out to do activities.” He was still smiling, as if threatening to kill his own children were cute.

Last week, the West Virginia legislature was debating a bill that would have banned cities and counties from protecting LGBTQ people in their anti-discrimination laws, like Tennessee, North Carolina, and Arkansas currently do.

During the floor debate, Porterfield said that anti-discrimination laws were “bigoted,” “intolerant,” “discriminatory— nonsense” and “a travesty— against people who have either religious convictions or who don’t want to run their business the way a socialist-left agenda wants us to run it.”

He also used the word “faggot” during the debate while discussing Milo Yiannopoulos.

His state’s Republican party leadership denounced his comments, saying that they were “hateful, hurtful, and do not reflect the values of our country.”

Former Marine Staff Sergeant Eric Alva — a San Antonio native who was the first American service member seriously injured in the Iraq War when he stepped on a land mine in March 2003 and lost his right leg — was speaking in favor of a proposed addition to the city’s non-discrimination law that would add protections for sexual orientation, gender identity and veteran status.

But as Alva began to deliver his remarks, many in the crowd of approximately 200 people attending the council meeting began to boo.

“To all you people that preach the word of God, shame on you because God loves me, like the day I laid bleeding on the sands of Iraq and that’s why he saved me,” Alva told the crowd as left the podium, still visibly shaken from the crowd’s reaction.

Later on Facebook, Alva wrote:

“Well I just left city council chambers and I feel like crying. I have never seen a city so divided and hateful towards each other. All of man kind should be ashamed. I already spoke and even some of the religious groups even boo’ed me as I spoke. Such disrespect as they preach the word of God.”

Prior to the council session, local anti-gay rights advocate Pastor Charles Flowers of the Faith Outreach Center led a prayer vigil and demonstration outside City Hall where he told the crowd, “Let them vote ‘no’ to this ordinance, and ‘yes’ to the reign of the kingdom of God.”

Jonathan Shuttlesworth #quack #homophobia #fundie lgbtqnation.com

Jonathan Shuttlesworth, a televangelist who co-founded Revival Today TV, called out European churches that are taking measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

“Shame on every European full gospel church, bunch of sissies, that shut down during this thing,” he said. Italy is the country with the second-most confirmed cases of coronavirus in the world, after China, and churches there have taken steps to prevent the spread of the virus, like removing holy water and canceling large events.

“Catholic Church not having holy water in the lobby — how holy is the water then?” he said in his rant. “That should be a sign to you that your whole religion’s a fraud. Any faith that doesn’t work in real life is a fake faith. Totally fake.”

“If you’re putting out pamphlets and telling everybody to use Purell before they come into the sanctuary and don’t greet anyone, you should just turn in your ministry credentials and burn your church down — turn it into a casino or something,” he said. “You’re a loser. Bunch of pansies. No balls. Got neutered somewhere along the line and don’t even realize it.”

“Let me tell you if the devil doesn’t want there to be mass gatherings — it’s time to hold mass gatherings. If I lived in Italy I would call an open-air crusade to pray for the sick. If you have to go to jail, go to jail.”

“They can say whatever they want, he honored Israel. Obama honored the enemies of Israel; Trump honors Israel, and it’s a massive difference. And because of that, I predict America will be minimally affected by coronavirus,” Shuttlesworth said.

He said that “Pacific Northwest, California, and New York” are “four places” that will not be protected by Trump’s views on Israel because they gave “God the middle finger in the shape of an Empire State Building lit up in pink to celebrate the passage of the [legislation] that you can kill a baby.”

Principal expels gay student because “Jesus would want me to”

A Christian school in Texas has expelled a student for coming out as gay, and the school principal is defending his decision saying that Jesus wanted him to expel the student.

Devin Bryant, 17, has attended the Covenant Christian Academy in Dallas since he was in kindergarten, but last month his mother Consolata got a call from the new headmaster, Tony Jeffrey, telling her that Devin won’t be allowed to attend the school for his senior year because he’s gay.

“Are you a Christian?” she asked him on the phone. “Jesus would not do what you are doing.”

“I’m doing what Jesus would want me to do,” he replied.

Both her children attended the school for the past two decades, but the new headmaster told her to get “parent counseling.”

Two weeks later, Jeffrey sent a letter to students and faculty explaining why he expelled the straight-A student, citing the school’s “Doctrinal Statement acknowledging that they agree with the School on historic, orthodox, doctrinal beliefs.”

He said that the school has “deeply held religious beliefs” that include that idea that “the expression of human sexuality is appropriate only within the boundaries of a marital relationship between one man and one woman.”

Tucker Carlson #transphobia lgbtqnation.com

Fox News’s Tucker Carlson said that there was a “nationwide epidemic” of children being forced by their parents to transition, which he called “child abuse.”

Carlson played a clip from the HBO documentary Transhood – which he called “so disturbing” – about a four-year-old girl named Phoenix. In the clip, Phoenix and her mother tell her church that she’s a girl.

Now if you’re a parent – if you have actually raised children – you know what you’re seeing is ventriloquism,” Carlson said, although he didn’t explain why Phoenix’s mother would be putting those words in her daughter’s mouth.

(...)

“It’s grotesque. If you say that out loud, you’re punished: Target will ban your book, you’ll have trouble getting a job.”

“This isn’t just one parent abusing a child on TV. This is a nationwide – we’re gonna use the word – epidemic and everyone is too embarrassed to mention it.”

This tyranny of rights, this tyranny of the minority, and we’re not talking about racial minorities, neutral minorities, we’re talking about people who define their identity based upon sexually deviant behaviors and proclivities.

This is a tyranny of sexually deviant rights and it’s by design to replace the enumerated Constitutional rights given by our Creator based upon the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God, these so-called rights violate the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God, and yes violate the expressed guarantees that we have to religious liberty, freedom of speech, freedom of association granted to us by the United States Constitution.

The LGBT agenda and Constitutional rights cannot exist in harmony. At Liberty Counsel, we defend the Constitution.

Donald Trump #fundie lgbtqnation.com

Donald Trump has been courting the LGBTQ vote throughout this presidential election, claiming he would be the better choice for the community than opponent Hillary Clinton and promising to protect us from terrorism in his Republican National Convention speech.

That argument gets harder to believe by the week, as he gives speeches at anti-LGBTQ events, sticks up for homophobic and transphobic legislation and surrounds himself with bigoted politicians and advisers. Now we have a new offense to add to the list.

Trump has pledged to sign the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA), if passed by congress. It was first introduced in the House on June 17, 2015 and would effectively legalize anti-LGBTQ discrimination across the board, including among employers, businesses, landlords and healthcare providers, as long as they claim to be motivated by a firmly held religious beliefs.

It would act to overturn the executive order signed in 2014 by President Obama prohibiting anti-LGBTQ discrimination among federal contractors.

The statement, added to Trump’s website on Thursday under the title “Issues Of Importance To Catholics” and the subtitle “Religious Liberty,” reads:

"Religious liberty is enshrined in the First Amendment to the Constitution. It is our first liberty and provides the most important protection in that it protects our right of conscience. Activist judges and executive orders issued by Presidents who have no regard for the Constitution have put these protections in jeopardy. If I am elected president and Congress passes the First Amendment Defense Act, I will sign it to protect the deeply held religious beliefs of Catholics and the beliefs of Americans of all faiths. The Little Sisters of the Poor, or any religious order for that matter, will always have their religious liberty protected on my watch and will not have to face bullying from the government because of their religious beliefs."

FADA’s text reads:

"Prohibits the federal government from taking discriminatory action against a person on the basis that such person believes or acts in accordance with a religious belief or moral conviction that: (1) marriage is or should be recognized as the union of one man and one woman, or (2) sexual relations are properly reserved to such a marriage.

Defines “discriminatory action” as any federal government action to discriminate against a person with such beliefs or convictions, including a federal government action to:

alter the federal tax treatment of, cause any tax, penalty, or payment to be assessed against, or deny, delay, or revoke certain tax exemptions of any such person;

disallow a deduction of any charitable contribution made to or by such person;

withhold, reduce, exclude, terminate, or otherwise deny any federal grant, contract, subcontract, cooperative agreement, loan, license, certification, accreditation, employment, or similar position or status from or to such person; or

withhold, reduce, exclude, terminate, or otherwise deny any benefit under a federal benefit program.

Requires the federal government to consider to be accredited, licensed, or certified for purposes of federal law any person who would be accredited, licensed, or certified for such purposes but for a determination that the person believes or acts in accordance with such a religious belief or moral conviction.

Permits a person to assert an actual or threatened violation of this Act as a claim or defense in a judicial or administrative proceeding and to obtain compensatory damages or other appropriate relief against the federal government.

Authorizes the Attorney General to bring an action to enforce this Act against the Government Accountability Office or an establishment in the executive branch, other than the U.S. Postal Service or the Postal Regulatory Commission, that is not an executive department, military department, or government corporation.

Defines “person” as any person regardless of religious affiliation, including corporations and other entities regardless of for-profit or nonprofit status."

Freddie Lee Doyle #homophobia #psycho lgbtqnation.com

Man brought an AR-15 to a gay bar & shouted that he would “have killed those fa***ts”

A man who went to an LGBTQ bar in Missouri with an AR-15 and 160 rounds has been sentenced to 46 months in prison.

Freddie Lee Doyle, 32, pled guilty to a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm in federal court in exchange for prosecutors dropping hate crimes charges.

[…]

Video footage showed Doyle talking to a Black man who left the Just John Night Club, another LGBTQ venue in the neighborhood. The two went back to Doyle’s car, where Doyle pointed the rifle at his victim.

The man ran and Doyle went after him with the gun. Witnesses said that he pointed the weapon at the victim, then shouted obscenities and anti-gay slurs at the crowd. He started a “verbal countdown” and fired one shot in the air when he finished.

Police nearby heard the shot, but Doyle hid his gun and said that the shooter ran into a nearby alley. Police soon arrested him.

Court documents say that he shouted that he would “have killed those faggots” if police hadn’t shown up, according to Metro Weekly.

Doyle’s lawyer originally argued that he was not motivated by hatred of LGBTQ people but that he was acting in self-defense when the Black man “followed” him into his car.

Doyle later told the court that he was suffering from depression and anxiety and has ADHD. He said that he used to be a husband and a father, but then he lost his job, house, cars, and family and turned to methamphetamine. He tested positive for meth after his arrest.

Paula White #fundie #crackpot lgbtqnation.com

Donald Trump’s spiritual adviser Paula White delivered a flamboyantly passionate prayer for “angels” to help Trump to win.

She works herself into a trance and starts speaking in tongues, and then declares: “For angels have even been dispatched from Africa right now. Africa right now. From Africa right now. They’re coming here. They’re coming here. In the name of Jesus, from South America. They’re coming here. They’re coming here.”

She repeats that “angelic reinforcement” is coming from South America and Africa but, apparently, not Asia, Europe, Australia, or Antarctica.

Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM) #fundie #quack #wingnut lgbtqnation.com

Faith healing “school” becomes a COVID hotspot with 137 cases. It has ties to Donald Trump.
The man who runs the school was reportedly asked by Trump to "anoint every door in the White House" with olive oil.

Someone at the Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (BSSM) wasn’t paying attention in class. The California “school” for faith healers is the latest COVID hotspot with 137 infections in the past month alone.

And, of course, the leadership of the ministry has ties to President Donald Trump’s coterie of evangelical Christian “advisors” and reportedly anointed “every door in the White House” with olive oil at Trump’s request.

[...]

Trump allegedly disguised the unaccredited school’s owner, Bill Johnson, as a janitor shortly after taking office and instructed him to anoint every door with olive oil in a bid to ward off demons according to the megachurch’s east coast head.

Trump has met with evangelical leaders and submitted to the anointing and “laying on of hands” ritual in photos widely circulated by the religious right.

Earlier this year, the school agreed to stop sending students to local hospitals to “cure” coronavirus. The church canceled missionary trips and told congregants who are feeling sick to stay home. They encouraged their over 9000 members to wash their hands frequently, too.
