Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò #fundie #wingnut #quack #conspiracy lifesitenews.com

I am grateful for the invitation of Professor Massimo Citro della Riva to offer my greetings to the participants in the Health Holocaust Remembrance Day. You know well that I have never been shy in offering my interventions since the beginning of the psycho-pandemic farce, and that my complaint – since May 2020 – anticipated everything that has emerged in these four years regarding the criminal management of this social-engineering experiment of neo-Malthusian origin.
<...>
We have seen the false Bergoglian church totally subservient to the genetic treatment agenda, a treatment that was produced using aborted fetuses. We have seen doctors and paramedics killing frail and elderly people in intensive care through the use of anesthesia. We have seen rulers, magistrates, and police forces unleash an unprecedented criminalization of those who did not allow themselves to be “marked.” We know who is behind these people, who pays them, and who blackmails them: their names are well known. These murderers will soon find themselves answering for their crimes, if not before the tribunal of the world, then certainly before God, whom they hate and whom they would like to replace, in a mad delirium of omnipotence that is an inexorable prelude to their eternal defeat. The children of darkness, the conspirators of the World Economic Forum, and the globalist cabal want to establish the kingdom of the Antichrist on earth, as an obscene counterfeit of the Kingdom of Christ Our Lord.
<...>
Therefore, continue in your courageous commitment, but never lose sight of the overall picture of this epochal battle. It is important to understand that the psycho-pandemic farce was only one of the means of imposing this infernal plan, and that it is accompanied by other threats that follow the same script under the same direction. Demonstrate to people this overall coherence and even the most distracted will understand and rebel against what has been imposed on them through fraud and violence.

Trump is right: Democrats really are ‘Marxist lunatics’

After eight years of nonstop persecution—one groundless impeachment and phony indictment after another—one can understand why President Trump would label the leaders of the Democrat Party a bunch of “Marxist lunatics.” “The Radical Left Democrats … these communists and fascists think that they can control our glorious country,” said Trump recently.

Radical Left, Marxists, communists, fascists … is this political hyperbole? Or is it an accurate description of the Nancy Pelosis, the Merrick Garlands and, yes, the Joe Bidens and Barack Obamas who control the Democrat Party and carry out its policies?

Few would deny that Marxism, in both its economic and cultural variants, is now the party’s governing paradigm. Consider the Congressional Progressive Caucus, which includes 100—nearly half—of the Democrat Party’s representatives in the House. The CPC advocates for:

- “A universal health care system”—government-run healthcare, with its long waiting lines and accompanying shortages.
- “A crackdown on corporate greed”—using higher taxes and more regulation to throttle private enterprise.
- “An end to mass incarceration”—the kind of no cash bail, early release policies that Soros-funded district attorneys have adopted and that have unleashed crime waves in Democrat-run cities.
- “Reversing climate change”—radical controls on energy production and use that will impoverish Americans and circumscribe their freedoms.
- “Humane immigration policies”—an open borders policy that the Biden administration has already wholeheartedly endorsed.
- “Reparations”—cash payouts/payoffs to a major Democrat voting block for injustices ended over 160 years ago.

[...]
This is where the center of gravity of the party is today. These are radical leftist, openly socialistic and Marxist policies which, if not communist, are so close as to be indistinguishable from the real thing.

Like the one-party dictatorships in Cuba and Venezuela that they so admire, the modern Democrat Party assiduously censors the internet, denying Americans freedom of speech. Their agents infiltrate peaceful assemblies and provoke violence. The major media in this country, though not state-owned, is ideologically aligned with the party and does its bidding.

GOP women’s group bans gender-confused men from becoming voting members

Call it a triumph of “flyover America” over East Coast liberalism, of red-state conservatives over blue-state establishment Republicans cowed by the left.

A win for truth and common sense over lies and propaganda, by the grassroots over compromised and gun-shy elites.

Or perhaps, most importantly, a victory for real American women over fake, biologically male “trans women” invading their spaces.

The upstart NFRW women championed a successful resolution stating that only genuine women should be voting members in the 85-year-old women’s organization – overcoming a concerted effort by the outgoing leadership to block the measure from being voted on at the convention.

[...]
Transsexual activists are at war with that simple truth, maintaining that sex is merely “assigned at birth” – i.e., girls are not girls, and boys are not boys, based on their anatomy. The transgender movement claims that “gender,” separate from sex, is socially constructed and varies according to one’s self-perceived “gender identity,” with an ever-expanding array of available “genders” with which a person can self-identify. As one pro-transgender “teen” site puts it: “Gender identity is how a person feels and who they know them self to be when it comes to their gender.”

While transgender activists, relying on this LGBT ideology, defiantly chant, “Trans women are women,” conservatives and many feminists counter that there are just two “genders” (read: sexes): male and female, and that men cannot be (or become) real women, and vice versa.

Avoiding taking action
Years earlier, NFRW leaders had promised to tackle the issue of male “trans women” trying joining the group as supposed “women.” Deborah Tilden and Laura Carlson, two NFRW members who were active in supporting both the women-only-as-members resolution and the “4 on the floor” team of opposition candidates in Oklahoma City, pointed to the 2021 NFRW convention in Orlando, where a man identifying as the opposite sex from California tried to be seated as a voting member.

Trump is right: Democrats really are ‘Marxist lunatics’

[...]

The use of terror as a tool for political control is prototypically Marxist and has now been added to the Democrat playbook. The FBI—that the regime now runs as its own private Stasi—conducts pre-dawn raids on the regime’s political enemies. Their purpose is not only to sideline Trump and some of his key supporters but to create a climate of fear among the population at large.

[...]
The show trials of those the regime regards as enemies of the state are another sign of Communist praxis in action. Christian grandmothers in their sixties and seventies are arrested and given eleven-year prison sentences by Garland’s Department of Justice for protesting at abortion clinics. At the same time, left-wing district attorneys reward BLM rioters with hefty payouts for having “suffered police brutality” while they were burning down buildings.

In some respects, today’s Democrats are more radical than Karl Marx himself was, especially in their antagonism towards the family and their disdain for the value of human life.

All Communists, starting with Marx himself, have seen the family as an obstacle to their own plans to reorganize society. When in power, they invariably set out to weaken, if not entirely destroy, this basic building block of society to make way for their own restructuring of humanity into a giant collective.

Yet even Marx, Lenin, and Mao would be horrified by the Democrat Party’s unconditional embrace of the chemical and surgical mutilation of children in pursuit of the fantasy of an imagined “gender identity.” At least they would be until they came to see, as the Democrats have, its political utility.

Transgenderism, at its root, is an attack by radical Leftists on the family. It is promoted by the Democrat Party in order to divide children from their parents on matters sexual. But if it succeeds, it won’t stop there. There will be other “children’s rights” invented until all parental authority has been ceded to the state, thus achieving the perennial communist goal of making all children creatures of the state from infancy.

Much has been said and written of late about medical tyranny in the West and the vaccine apartheid being cemented by authoritarians, not just in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Europe, but here in the United States.

It is important to recognize two things: first, that the proponents of those dehumanizing trends are now seizing upon the technologies that have been deployed over the past year, the precedents set, and the apparent nonresistance exhibited by the supermajority; and second, that those same proponents are furnished with a utilitarian ethic, a statist mindset, and a materialist philosophy. To combat or at the very least withstand the totalitarianism to come, we must first address the culture that sustains it. Change the culture, and you’ll free the West.
<...>
Our eudemonistic / epicurean Culture of Death—that name given it by St. John Paul II in Evangelium vitae—has made our society morally weak, unaccountable, and unprincipled in the name of individual freedom. There is obviously nothing wrong with freedom, but here we’re dealing with a transmogrified form: freedom from risk; freedom from responsibility; freedom from inconvenience; freedom from tradition. Liberated from all the above, these swinish cultists instead enslave themselves—but more often than not enslave others whose subjugation might be required—to the pursuit of [their] fleeting pleasure. Though made in the image of the infinite, omniscient, and loving Creator of everything visible and invisible, they turn their eyes downward and seek meaningless thrills in the dark at the expense of their souls and our civilization.

The goal of abolishing abortion in America cannot be achieved if it involves any alliance with the transgender and LGBT activist movements.

“Trans lives start at conception,” chanted some pro-life protesters outside of the Supreme Court last week during the Dobbs v. Jackson hearing.

At the nation’s highest court last week, a gender dysphoric female who goes by Herb Geraghty but whose real name is Rosemary said that “trans rights begin at conception.”

“Bringing our diverse coalition of people from all races, ages, religious backgrounds, and gender identities shows the pro-abortion side that the pro-life community is not the caricature of the ‘old conservative Christian cisgender white man who wants to oppress women,’” Geraghty said. “This is a human rights movement, and we will not be silenced.”

Her statement is a good starting point for why the pro-life movement must reject any alliance with sexual and gender activists.

Pro-lifers who claim to be “transgender” and use that as an argument for the validity of their position play into the identity politics that abortion activists promote.
<...>
But Rosemary Geraghty is a fan of identity politics, referring to herself in one interview as a “queer, feminist atheist.” Rehumanize International, the group she leads, also aggressively pursues identity politics, posting photos of signs that said “Queer Atheist Pro-Life” and “Leftist Feminist Atheist Vegan Pro-Life” from the Supreme Court.

The point, you see, is that they aren’t like those pro-life Catholics and Protestants. They have dyed hair and they reject God.

But truth is not on the side of the LGBTQ movement — another reason why the pro-life movement must be careful and run quickly from any attempt to combine with it.

The way I see it, there are two key arguments against abortion. The religious argument is that God created all human life. It is a grave sin to destroy innocent human life created in the image and likeness of God.

Jim Caviezel #fundie #sexist #wingnut lifesitenews.com

He was asked by the publication Sembrar, “in your judgment, what is the greatest moral defect of the western world?”

“Abortion, without any doubt,” answered Caviezel. “As Mother Theresa said, ‘abortion will end up bringing the world to nuclear war’. When a man kills a man in a war situation, it is bad, very sad.  Attila [the Hun] went further.  He said ‘not only am I going to kill men, but also women and children.’  He raised the bar to another level.”

However, added Caviezel, “abortion goes much further: when the mother herself kills her son she goes against her own nature, against her own instinct.  People talk about ‘choice’, but when a woman does that, when she destroys the life of her unborn child, then we have arrived at the limit.  The level cannot go higher regarding evil.”

Andrea Widburg #wingnut #homophobia #transphobia #sexist lifesitenews.com

The Marines occupy an almost mythic place in many Americans’ minds as an invincible force that runs to the guns and fights no matter what. That’s why it was so shocking to learn that, during a joint training exercise in the Mojave Desert, Britain’s Royal Marines inflicted such a shellacking on the Americans that the latter had to surrender halfway through the exercise. This is a direct result of the Pentagon having gone woke under Obama — something that Trump failed to undo — followed by Biden doubling down on Obama’s policies.
<...>
Under their aegis, Navy ships went green (when they were just meant to be mean) and bore the names of well-known leftists (gay rights advocate and pederast Harvey Milk and socialist activist Cesar Chávez, who happened to hate illegal aliens).

Obama ended “don’t ask, don’t tell” in favor of openly homosexual military service and invited mentally ill so-called “transgender” people into the military to serve under their “identified” sexes. That policy, more than any, affected troop fitness and deployability.

At the military academies, the focus wasn’t on military history, tactics, and strategy; it was Critical Race Theory, gender theory, and anti-Americanism. The elite Rangers were forced to lower their physical standards so that women could be admitted.
<...>
That training loss transcends mere embarrassment. The leftist obsession with wokeism to the exclusion of battle readiness is bearing fruit. With the Chinese massively increasing their military technology (including that hypersonic missile); increasing the pressure for manly, aggressive men; and rattling the saber against Taiwan and Australia, the fact that our Marines couldn’t survive a paintball battle is just devastating news for America’s national security and for the free world generally.

[From "Christians should at least give credit to Putin for waging war on LGBT propaganda"]

Putin continued his war on woke ideology Sunday by signing into law a bill that strengthens his country’s opposition to “LGBT propaganda”

Western media predictably lashed out at the Orthodox Christian president, who, unlike European and North American politicians, has rejected international pressure to embrace transgenderism and state-sanctioned sodomy

For defending Biblical marriage and sexuality — as well as for putting Russia first — Putin is vilified by the press as one of the most evil men to have ever lived. The reason why is obvious: He stands in the way of the military industrial complex’s plans for global hegemony

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying Putin’s hands are entirely clean. He’s no saint by any means. But I have friends who would rather have him as their president than Joe Biden[…]
The new Russian bill laudably creates fines and broadens the scope of a 2013 law to now include a prohibition of LGBT content not only for children but Russians of all ages. It also bans the promotion of pedophilia and gender “reassignment” in films, books, media, and advertising[…]Bill passed with unanimous support in both the upper and lower houses of Russia’s Federal Assembly. To that I say: Bravo. U.S. lawmakers should follow suit[…]
This isn’t the first time Putin has the social justice left up in arms. At the Valdai International Discussion Club in Sochi last year, he denounced those who promote “cancel culture,” equating them to the Bolsheviks[…]
It’s been said that even a broken clock is right twice a day. I hope Christians who consider Putin an irredeemable villain will at least recognize the good he has done with this and other laws he’s supported that defend Biblical morality against the woke left. Leaders who support such bills are no doubt hard to come by in our post-Christian world. Let’s give credit where credit is due

Milo Yiannopoulos #homophobia #fundie #transphobia lifesitenews.com

March 9, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — Milo Yiannopoulos, the gay man whose conservative messaging and willingness to speak the truth sparked riots on university campuses may well trigger more outrage now that he describes himself as “Ex-Gay” and “sodomy free,” and is leading a daily consecration to St. Joseph online.

Two years ago, when Church Militant’s Michael Voris famously challenged Yiannopoulos to live a chaste life, Yiannopoulos was not defensive. Instead, he acquiesced, and humbly admitted his human weakness.

“I know everything you’re saying, and I’m just not there yet. And I don’t know if I’ll get there,” Yiannopoulos told Voris at the time.

It seems that he has now arrived “there.”

[…]

LifeSite: What drew you to consecrate your life to St. Joseph?

Milo: Secular attempts at recovery from sin are either temporary or completely ineffective. Salvation can only be achieved through devotion to Christ and the works of the Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. St. Joseph is the spiritual father figure of the Holy Family. In this time of gender madness, devoting myself to the male protector of the infant Jesus is an act of faith in God’s Holy Patriarch, and a rejection of the Terror of transsexuals. Trannies are demonic: They are the Galli, the castrated priests of Cybele, the Magna mater, whom Augustine saw dancing in the streets of Carthage dressed like women.

Don’t even get me started on Drag Queen Story Hour. I only have to see those four words to be overwhelmed by the urge to buy rope.

Jonathon Van Maren #transphobia #wingnut #conspiracy lifesitenews.com

Sometimes small things are big indicators. Take, for example, one of the latest additions to the Apple emoji factory: In addition to a “gender-neutral pregnant person” (enjoy figuring out that phrase), the new choices include a graphic of a “pregnant man”. At least, that’s what we’re informed it is. It could also just be a dude wearing a blue shirt stretched over his beer belly, which would a) make way more sense and b) would have been people’s first guess like five years ago.

This is obviously a profoundly stupid story that could be written off as another culture war tempest-in-teapot — or even trolling from leftist Silicon Valley types disgruntled by the idea of people losing their minds over an emoji of a fat guy. But unfortunately, this story is just another indicator of how society is transforming around us, bit by bit.

The culture around us reflects what our society sees as reality, and increasingly, that culture is being reconstructed — transitioned, if you will — in the image of trans activists. I’ve been offered all sorts of options on “select gender” menus while filling out various forms recently — even on government forms.

We now have children’s shows from Blue’s Clues to Spongebob Squarepants featuring trans characters (including, I kid you not, a post-op beaver cartoon character that had a double-mastectomy); cereal boxes for kids teaching them about preferred pronouns; public school lessons on choosing your gender; drag queens reading stories to toddlers; adults insisting that children are entitled to block puberty.
<...>
Why would kids see transgender ideology as normal? They’ve got transgender cartoons, an entire summer month dedicated to LGBT issues, they’re taught this stuff in schools, the public libraries are packed with books and programming dedicated to transgenderism, and YouTube is chock full of young transgender child celebrities. Being trans is downright popular. Believing in the “binary” is what’s increasingly abnormal.

In order to answer these and many other questions on family issues, I spoke with Katy Faust, founder and director of Them Before Us, as well as a leading advocate for the rights of children and the traditional family.
<...>
Also, Katy and I discuss ways in which parents can take action to protect their children. She highlights “the reality that our children are drinking a firehose of ideology … in the schools … on the social media platforms … from their friends.”

Katy tells me that mothers and fathers must act to counter these cultural forces by first filtering out these dangerous ideologies when the children are young. Once they reach age ten, they should be equipped by their parents “to be experts on all of these difficult subjects.” She says that if parents won’t talk to their kids about this, “the world is happy to do it for you.”

For parents whose children are already in same-sex relationships, guiding them away from that lifestyle can be difficult. Katy recommends that a mother and father must make the point of reaffirming to the child that they are “the best person to talk to” on those issues.

In a culture and society which rampantly accepts and forcefully pushes ideologies that are not only anti-family and against Christian teachings but also against the natural law, Katy is countering these forces. She says that “all adults must conform to the rights of all children, and, unfortunately, right now in our culture, we’ve got that exactly backwards.”

Moreover, Katy tells me that the culture is in need of adults who are willing to sacrifice their own desires for the sake of protecting the children.

All Souls Matter

Such rhetoric oversimplifies the position of countless Catholics perplexed by the call to join the BLM revolution. They are far from being the cold, heartless and oblivious Christians Mrs. Bruenig paints in her op-ed. They are filled, however, with legitimate concerns that need to be addressed.

Of course, these Catholics can pronounce a lowercased “black lives matter” without any problem. The Catholic Church was the institution that, for the first time in history, broke the back of “systemic” slavery that was the fate of most people in the ancient pagan world. The argument the Church advanced back then was that everyone is created with an immortal soul redeemed by Our Lord Jesus Christ. And thus, all souls matter.

For this reason, the Church went forth and taught all nations, races, and peoples baptizing them and instructing them on how to live lives of Christian virtue. The Church has a long and honorable history of seeking after the salvation of souls wherever they might be, even to the ends of the earth. She never wavered in her conviction that all souls matter.

Thus, Catholics are by their nature anti-racist. They ardently desire the salvation of all souls, without exception, regardless of race. Of this, there can be no doubt.

Attached to Unacceptable Causes

The doubts come when it is time to pronounce the uppercased brand: Black Lives Matter. Attached to this label are causes and philosophies that clash with the Church’s solicitude for the salvation of souls. Reluctant Catholics wonder how BLM activists can fail to grasp that the message being transmitted by the movement is: Not all souls matter.

The cry of these three volatile words implies an endorsement of the breaking of God’s moral law since the BLM movement enthusiastically embraces the LGBTQ+ cause and Planned Parenthood. The echoes of this catchy slogan resound on the violent streets of Portland, Oregon, where cursing Antifa and BLM rioters burn Bibles and U.S. flags, destroy property and injure police officers of all races. Intertwined in the motto’s short syllables is a Marxist class struggle narrative in bitter conflict with the Church’s social teachings and responsible for the death of tens of millions of lives…and the eternal damnation of countless souls.

Is it any wonder that Catholics cannot bring themselves to utter these three words that can represent a spectacular clash with the Great Commission, which affirms that all souls matter? Justice demands that the BLM subversive and immoral positions be rejected since they contain falsehoods by which souls might well be lost. Unless the movement abjures these evil influences, it cannot command the respect, much less the allegiance of those Catholics who sincerely want to help.

Stephen Kokx #fundie #wingnut #homophobia #transphobia lifesitenews.com

I attended my first CPAC this year.
<...>
Despite that, what struck me the most after seeing up close and personal the so-called leaders of the ‘conservative’ movement is just how much coalition politics is a dirty, sad business and that Jesus Christ is sorely missing from most of it.

Today (really, since the 1500s) politics is little more than power-hungry, fallen individuals running around employing whatever schemes they can cook up to take each-other out. Sure, human beings have always, in a sense, done this to varying degrees, even in Catholic nations prior to Luther writing his 95 theses. It’s the pride of life and original sin that takes over. But it’s far, far worse now that we’ve lost the true religion.
<...>
Historically, conservatism was associated with the idea that man is wounded by nature and that there exists a natural law rooted in objective reality that limits the scope of the government’s role in our lives. As such, virtue should be promoted and vice generally restricted. But the conservatism of today forgets all this. A drag queen named “Lady Maga” was at CPAC this year. I asked him if he thinks the GOP is moving in his direction and he immediately said that yes, conservatives “love freedom” and that they love him too. And he’s right. The most popular expositors of what passes for conservatism today primarily praise “free market” economics and criticize Marxism, socialism, and whatever other -ism that’s out there. But on LGBT issues, they’re complete libertines. This isn’t conservatism. It’s Mammonism. Establishment conservatives forget, or ignore, the fact that society can only thrive when culture, traditions, and truth are preserved.

Many of you are probably wondering how a strong and traditional Catholic country such as Ireland could pass laws in support of abortion and so-called gay “marriage” in recent years.

In this episode of The John-Henry Westen Show, I speak with Fr. Brendan Kilcoyne, an Irish priest, who explains exactly the cause of the decline of Ireland. He also details the history of Christianity in Ireland, including the many persecutions the Irish people have faced for their faith in God and the Church.

Fr. Brendan points out that the main problems with Ireland were caused by a “tsunami of modernity” both in the Church and secular society. He says that the promotion of anti-life and anti-family policies have been largely “accelerated by the unfolding scandals in terms of the Church, emerging over a 25-year period.”

He also explained that today, for the most part, the faith of Irish Catholics is “very superficial,” even though for decades and even centuries, they made their mark as brave and heroic people in the Church.

Asking himself the question whether this “Old Ireland” could ever return in this day and age, Fr. Brendan answered, “Yes. Without a doubt, [because] the Faith is still here.” He further stated that it will be the small remnant that will maintain the Faith, and pass it on to subsequent generations.

Brendan Kilcoyne and Immaculata Productions are working hard in to preserve the great pearl that is our shared faith in Ireland, but they need your help to bring the truth to their countrymen. I strongly encourage you to make a secure donation right now by going to this LifeFunder page, and to pray for Fr. Kilcoyne and his mission.

A Catholic group located in the diocese of New Jersey is trying to shut down the student-run radio station at Seton Hall University—a private Catholic school—after a recent investigation revealed that it has a long history of broadcasting blasphemous and openly satanic heavy-metal music.

Shut Down WSOU has been working tirelessly for months to put an end to the station and its broadcasting of moral pollution in the wake of an investigation in August of 2020 by the Lepanto Institute.

In his investigation, Michael Hichborn found that the radio station airs “bands and songs that are blasphemous, openly satanic, promote sacrilege, promote the murder and mutilation of women and children, and the slaughter of Christians.” A page on Shut Down WSOU’s website also contains evidence [WARNING: link leads to disturbing material] of the filth spewing out from the radio station.
<...>
“You cannot have a Satanic radio station and think your seminary is highly regarded. The two cannot exist together in peace,” she said.
<...>
This coming Tuesday, March 30, the group is planning to return once again to their weekly peaceful, public demonstrations with the help of the rosary rally crusaders at Tradition, Family, and Property.

Woltornist hopes that those with the power to make change will see the need for swift action to be taken. She said that Cardinal Tobin “needs to realize that his spiritual children are playing with matches in a basement concerning this Satanic radio station: One spark with paper around, and the whole house comes burning down.”

“We pray people join us in this battle against evil to save souls," she said.

Researchers have determined that consumption of pornographic imagery has neurological effects similar to those caused by drugs. Mental function is actually changed. As someone views erotic pictures (either still or moving), over time not only does the experience become physically addictive, the brain starts to develop tolerance.
<...>
The influence of pornography on the maturing brain can shape someone’s entire of life. At a minimum it tends to encourage sex outside of marriage (with consequent higher rates of abortion). But besides that, it can distort understanding of sexual intimacy, promote false expectations about body image, and instill attitudes that make healthy interactions with the opposite sex difficult, if not impossible.

Yet these days, kids can hardly avoid being exposed to porn. It’s not like years ago, when those “special” magazines were sold surreptitiously from “behind the counter.” Young people are showered with erotic imagery, vulgar language, and endless promptings to give full vent to their curiosity and secret longings — not to mention being urged to find their true place along the endless rainbow of gender variety.
<...>
Their own souls must be in order, however, and as a priest, I can tell you that’s not always the case. I know from long experience hearing confessions that pornography — from casual, occasional indulgence, to full-blown addiction — is a very common problem. I’m tempted to call it an epidemic, and it’s a far more serious and widespread one than COVID.

Today, there's no cost to teachers who push political correctness in and out of the classroom, even if the activism leads to professional misconduct. The Ontario Education Act makes clear in Section 264 that one of the duties of a teacher is "to inculcate by precept... the principles of Judeo-Christian morality and the highest regard for truth, justice, loyalty, love of country, humanity, benevolence, sobriety, industry, frugality, purity, temperance and all other virtues." The quote may come as a shock to many currently in the teaching profession. There is nothing in the Act about creating "inclusive and equitable" school environments. The is nothing in the Ontario Human Rights Code which trumps the Act.
<...>
Many Catholic teachers have paid a public price when, in their private lives, they have been charged with assault, impaired driving or posting critical comments on social media about colleagues. The unwritten rule is that a teacher is always a teacher even after school or on weekends.

There have been court cases where some restrictions have been put on Charter rights. There are limits to teacher freedom. Take the case of Ross v. New Brunswick School District No. 15 (1996, Supreme Court of Canada): a teacher had made racist and anti-Semitic comments outside the classroom. The high court concluded that even though there was no direct proof of harm done by the statements, the teacher's actions were deemed to have had a negative impact on the school environment. In short, the words uttered had poisoned the educational atmosphere.

Chad Ripperger #fundie lifesitenews.com

"The recent publication of the book ‘A Children’s Book of Demons’ should be concerning for parents,” Ripperger told LifeSiteNews, because it opens the door to demonic influence in the lives of children.

“In the past, those in charge of the formation of the minds of children noted that the first years of a child’s life, especially until the age of 12, were very important regarding the moral formation of the child since it is during this time that the basics of right and wrong are instilled in the mind of the child,” said Fr. Ripperger.

Ripperger said parents’ primary obligation before God is “to train their children in the virtues as taught by the tradition of the Church so that when they reach the age of majority, they have sufficient virtue to lead a life pleasing to God.”

Fr. Ripperger continued:

--
From the Amazon website, we read, “Don’t want to take out the trash tonight? Maybe you’re swimming in homework? Perhaps that big bully is being a real drag? Well grab your coloured pencils and sigil drawing skills and dial up some demons! This paranormal parody is filled to the brim with funny spirits more silly than scary!” The proposing of a coloring book in order to “dial up some demons” is a form of conjuring which opens the door to demonic influence in the life of the child.

As St. Thomas Aquinas observes in his Summa Theologiae, “it is not lawful to adjure the demons because such a way seems to savor of benevolence or friendship, which it is unlawful to bear towards the demons.” Here St. Thomas is referring to invoking them to gain something from them or to learn something from them.
--

Ripperger notes that St. Thomas goes on to say we may only abjure demons in order to compel them so they do not harm our bodies or souls.

“Since social interaction with demons is forbidden except to compel them to do no harm, the ‘dialing up of some demons’ is forbidden according to the First Commandment,” warned Fr. Ripperger.

“It is a sign of the degeneration of our society that making use of demons is considered acceptable, and it manifests ignorance of their malice and desire to do us harm,” said Fr. Ripperger. “Books such as these ought to be avoided by parents and children, as they pose a possible opening to demons’ influence in their lives, which will only end in affliction and suffering.”

“Parents would be well warned that it is not something ‘silly,’ but contrary to the proper formation of their children,” he continued. “Opening up children to this at a young age will often place the child in a mindset that diabolic influence of demons in his life is not something serious or to be avoided.”

California State Senator Scott Wiener, an open homosexual who represents San Francisco, tweeted out Slaton’s statement with a proposal of his own: “This guy just gave me a bill idea: Offering Drag Queen 101 as part of the K-12 curriculum. Attending Drag Queen Story Time will satisfy the requirement.”

Don’t think for a moment that Wiener is joking, either. Recent laws championed by Wiener include a 2017 bill to reduce the crime of knowingly exposing a sexual partner to HIV without disclosing the infection — previously a felony — to misdemeanour status. This change in law also applied to HIV-positive people who donate blood without informing the blood bank of their status. In 2020, Wiener sponsored another bill—signed by Governor Gavin Newsom — requiring California to imprison men who identify as women in female prisons. The view of the women locked up with these usually violent criminals is of no account to dangerous ideologues like Wiener, of course.

Raymond Wolfe #transphobia lifesitenews.com

If the bills become law, they could save tens of thousands of children with gender disorders from lifelong damage caused by transgender drugs and surgeries.

No medications have ever been studied in clinical trials with gender-confused children or approved by U.S. regulators for gender dysphoria. But referrals to novel transgender clinics have surged to unprecedented levels in recent years, driven largely by young girls with other psychological issues, like autism or trauma linked to sexual abuse.

Many are quickly placed on off-label hormone-blocking drugs that halt their natural puberty and come with permanent side effects, such as osteoporosis and fertility problems. Sterilizing cross-sex hormones almost always come next, followed by irreversible amputations of sexual organs – performed on children as young as 13 years old in some states.

The devastating, experimental procedures are nothing short of criminal child abuse, top experts have said. Dr. Quentin Van Meter, a Johns Hopkins-trained pediatric endocrinologist and president of the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds), recently told LifeSiteNews that giving puberty blockers to gender dysphoric kids creates a “disease state” and should be outlawed.

“I think the steps that have been proposed in terms of making this an offense and considering it to be medically unethical should be pressed to the max,” he affirmed.

These days, one can identify as pretty much anything and it is considered polite (mandatory, in the case of gender delusions) to play along. Thus, much has been made of Joe Biden being the second Catholic president of the United States. The first, John F. Kennedy, was a member of the clan that spearheaded the political schizophrenia of “personally opposed, politically supportive,” and Biden is breaking all records with a rash of pro-abortion and LGBT executive orders while the press praises his faith. Supporting the destruction of children in the womb is what makes all the difference.
<...>
Catholics for Choice makes about as much sense as Vegans for Cannibalism, but this organization serves an important purpose. As those who believe in biblical teaching on marriage, life, and family get pushed to the fringes of society, progressives need to ensure that they do not alienate America’s religious majority. Liberal churches and groups like Catholics for Choice serve as convenient collaborators for the progressive movement. Progressives can point to these folks and claim that they represent true Catholicism, or Christianity, or faith—and that those clinging stubbornly to orthodoxy are simply hateful hangovers from the Middle Ages.
<...>
Catholics for Choice, however, is barely trying to hide their contempt for actual Catholics. Last month, they announced that “Charlotte” Clymer—an Army vet and LGBT activist famous for coming out as transgender in 2017—would taking over as director of communications and strategy. Abortion might be a women’s issue, but this guy is a woman, men can now get pregnant, and Catholics are morally obliged to support all of that over the teachings of their church.

‘500 Mom Strong’ group leads rally against Drag Queen Story Hour

SPOKANE, Washington, June 19, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) ― A group of mothers and their allies have taken to the streets to show their opposition to Drag Queen Story Hour.

500 Mom Strong and its male allies rallied outside the Spokane South Hill Public Library on Saturday, June 15. The afternoon event, which attracted more than 200 supporters, took place on the opposite side of the street from the library. It featured several church groups, music, police, snipers, and the arrest of a Christian pastor.

Pastor Afhsin Yaghtin of New Covenant Baptist Church argued with police about having to remain at a distance from the library. Hundreds of supporters of Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) held a counter-rally beside the public facility.

The protest was filmed by Alex Barron of the traditionalist Catholic Charles Carroll Society.

500 Mom Strong is a group founded over Facebook by Anna Bohach, a woman who believes that library drag queen events are both misogynist and attempts to sexualize children.

Bohach began the group when she discovered that the Spokane South Hill Branch Library was going to host a “Drag Queen Story Hour” on June 15. An official advertisement for the event promised “a special sparkly edition of storytime.”

“We will share stories of identity and inclusion and celebrate creativity with a craft," the ad continued.

In an early post describing the new group, Bohach explained why she finds drag queens so offensive.

“500 Mom Strong is a group of women who have had enough with the sexualization of our children and the mockery of our femininity,” she wrote.

“The Spokane Public Library South Hill has decided to host a ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ on June 15th, at 2pm. This is misogyny; drag queens are very offensive to women. They are grotesque hypersexualized caricatures of women. They mock women and debase our womanhood and femininity. A drag queen is no different than a racist donning black face,” she continued.

“The library hosting such an event teaches our sons that women are just sexual objects and it teaches our daughters that they must be overly sexualized to be desired. Enough is enough. We say NO more to a political agenda aimed at degrading women and sexualizing children. We say no to gender appropriation!”

Soon after 500 Mom Strong went live on Facebook, it was inundated with misogynist and sexually explicit abuse from drag queens and their supporters.

Bohach told LifeSiteNews by phone that the abuse has continued.

“We’re getting death threats daily,” she said. “They threatened to rape my husband.”

Bohach, who has four children, has been married for 13 years. She told LifeSiteNews that she had always told herself that she would do something if Drag Queen Story Hour came to Spokane. The call for action arrived when her mother phoned her with the news of the Spokane library hour.

“I think it came from God,” Bohach said. “It came into my head that I and a bunch of moms should do something about it.”

Their objections to Drag Queen Story Hour would be voiced as women uncomfortable with the stereotypes of femininity paraded by drag culture.

After Bohach founded 500 Mom Strong, the Spokane library asked her to be part of a panel discussion about Drag Queen Story Hour. When Bohach discovered the discussion was going to be on the same day as a Pride parade, she worried about being identified and harassed on the way to the library.

When the library agreed to a different date, Bohach discovered that everyone else on the panel was a drag queen supporter and she would not be allowed to bring people who shared her point of view. She decided not to go and was later told that the panel used the occasion to tell every concerned Christian woman in the audience that she was a bigot. A male professor gave them a lecture on men dressing as women.

“It was a man sitting there telling women that we’re not allowed to be offended by drag,” Bohach said, her voice cracking.

The heavy police presence, including “snipers on the roof,” was there, Bohach believes, because of false accusations from a rival Facebook group, called 500 Drag Queen Strong, that she had made death threats against them.

“It’s outrageous and a total lie,” she told LifeSiteNews.

Undeterred, the strong mom is hoping that other mothers will be inspired by her fight against the misogyny of drag queens and Drag Queen Story Hour.

“My goal is 500 moms,” she told LifeSiteNews. “I want to have 500 moms in each state who work together to stop it in their state.”

This is not an impossible dream: Bohach is already in demand.

“I’ve been getting calls from all over the country from people who want my help,” she said.

“From Texas, from Ohio, from California.”

One of the factors inspiring the women to join Bohach’s movement is their discomfort with men aping female dress and mannerisms.

“All these women (say), ‘Oh my gosh, you’re right: this is misogyny,” she said.

“We’ve finally put a name to it.”

Bohach wrote an account of last Saturday’s rally for Church Militant.

500 Mom Strong will appear at Spokane Public Library’s downtown branch this Saturday, June 22, between 12 and 3 p.m. to protest its Drag Queen Story Hour.

Liberal law center demonizes Christian foes of LGBTQ agenda as ‘hate groups’

August 18, 2017 (LifeSiteNews) — In the vast array of leftist lies, one of the most dangerous is that groups and people defending historic Judeo-Christian sexual morality are somehow guilty of "hate." The main perpetrator of that “big lie” these days is the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which has turned smearing and demonizing social conservatives fighting the homosexual-transgender agenda into a very profitable business.

The SPLC is attempting to pull off one of the nastiest and most audacious “bait-and-switch” propaganda coups in history — equating the Christian-conservative led effort to defend biblical morality against the aggressive LGBTQ lobby with vile racists, Neo-Nazis and anti-Semitic extremist groups.

The Birmingham, Alabama-based SPLC’s “hate” campaign is helped along by lazy, biased journalists and online “social justice warriors” who delight in using its past anti-racism credentials to advance the Left's immoral and deviant sex-gender agenda.

CNN lends legitimacy to SPLC

Yesterday, CNN shamefully assisted the SPLC’s bogus “hate” narrative by running a story featuring its “hate map” under the initial headline, “Here are all the active hate groups where you live.” It was accompanied by a graphic of the SPLC’s “hate map” of alleged “hate groups,” which includes, under Illinois, my organization, Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH). We have been slandered as an SPLC “hate group” for the last several years.

On the SPLC ‘s Illinois map, AFTAH and other Christian pro-family groups are listed alongside a KKK group, a "white nationalist" outfit, and some affiliates of the Aryan Nations Sadistic Souls MC, another Nazi group. This is the SPLC’s vicious handiwork, treated as “fact” by the media.

After protests by those miscast as “haters,” CNN changed its headline to "The Southern Poverty Law Center’s list of hate groups.”

Similar stories featuring the SPLC’s bogus “hate map” have popped up across the country, including one in the The Boston Globe headlined, “Where hate calls ‘home’ in Massachusetts.”

The following pro-family groups join Americans For Truth in having the distinct “honor” of being lied about by the cunningly deceptive, sleazy and, yes, downright evil SPLC:

Abiding Truth Ministries (Scott Lively)

Alliance Defending Freedom (the SPLC recently attacked Attorney General Jeff Sessions for addressing this group)

American College of Pediatricians (Dr. Michelle Cretella)

American Family Association (Tim Wildmon)

American Vision

Center for Family and Human Rights (C-FAM; Austin Ruse)

Citizens for Community Values

Conservative Republicans of Texas (Dr. Steve Hotze)

Family Research Council (Tony Perkins)

Family Research Institute (Dr. Paul Cameron)

Heterosexuals Organized for a Moral Environment (H.O.M.E.)

Illinois Family Institute

Liberty Counsel (Mat Staver)

Mass Resistance (and its chapters in various states; Brian Camenker)

Mission: America (Linda Harvey)

Pacific Justice Institute (Brad Dacus)

Pass the Salt Ministries (Coach Dave Daubenmire)

Pray in Jesus Name Project (“Chaps” Klingenschmitt)

Public Advocate of the United States (Eugene Delgaudio)

Ruth Institute (Jennifer Roback Morse)

Save California (Randy Thomasson)

Traditional Values Coalition (Andrea Sheldon)

World Congress of Families/Howard Center for Family, Religion and Society (Allan Carlson)
As you can see, this is quite a large group, representing many millions of Americans and including some of the most accomplished and effective pro-family leaders in the United States. Who knew that these great Americans were the moral equivalents of neo-Nazi Stormtroopers and the Ku Klux Klan?

Hating truth

They are not, of course. Not even close. Could it be that leftists who deliberately conflate mere opposition to the LGBTQ agenda — a revolutionary sin movement that has destroyed the sanctity of marriage in the law and is leading the assault on citizens’ right to live according to the dictates of their faith with hatred— are the ones truly guilty of hate-mongering?

Common sense and logic tell us that those who resist a deviant-sex movement that has produced such profound evils as “pregnant men”; perversion-positive “Christianity”; and teaching little children that they can “become” the opposite sex though medical manipulations of their young bodies, are motivated not by malice or bigotry but rather a heartfelt desire to ward off the social destruction that comes from celebrating unnatural behaviors.

There is a popular saying in Christian, pro-family circles today: “Those who hate the truth call truth hate.”

I believe that at some level that is true, because when “journalists” cavalierly repeat politically calculated tripe like the SPLC’s “hate” smear as if it is authoritative and meaningful, they demonstrate contempt for sincere people of faith simply trying to follow God.

Besides, one of the “old school” rules of “fair” journalism is that in covering a cultural debate, you do not rely on one group’s biased characterization of its opponents, to preserve the ideal of a disinterested, neutral news story. Of course, those days are long gone as most media have shorn any pretense of objectivity and are increasingly fanatical cheerleaders for Big Gay and Big Trans. (What’s next, Big Poly?)

Go with the Big Lie

And so we behold a Fourth Estate very much interested and dutiful in advancing the “narrative” of one side of the “culture war” over homosexuality and “transgenderism,” using the noble-sounding cover of “civil rights.” Most media don’t even bother anymore to get viewpoints of the “other side” on this issue, or if they do, it’s often just a token quote to help reporters feel like they’re being fair.

This makes the SPLC’s goal of advancing its bold, pro-LGBT “hate” lie much easier than it should be.

It turns out that the “Big Lie” tactic attributed to Hitler was something he accused “the Jews” of doing in his 1925 autobiography, Mein Kampf, years before he led a demonization- and then genocidal government campaign against them. But history records that the mustached Nazi dictator and his henchmen (most notably Nazi propaganda minister Josef Goebbels) became masters of the tactic, ultimately using it as part of their horrifyingly evil program against Jews, Poles, and other “undesirables.”

Hitler wrote: “For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.”

Today’s leftist liars understand this harsh reality and know that their “end justifies the means” approach toward delegitimizing pro-family conservatives as “hateful” bigots yields big political and cultural dividends — and scares the media away from featuring conservatives in their stories.

So rather than oppose pro-family groups civilly on public-policy issues concerning homosexuality and gender confusion (transgenderism), the Left resorts to a sophisticated version of name-calling. It began in the post-Stonewall ‘70s, as radical “gay” activists held up signs equating prominent religious opponents of organized homosexuality, like Anita Bryant, with Hitler.

From there it went to tarring their foes as “homophobes,” a term invented by pro-“gay” psychologist George Weinberg, who neatly flipped the pathology from homosexual behavior itself to opposing homosexuality.

Ultimately, the SPLC “codified” that Big Lie, as it were, with its “hate-labeling” strategy that preposterously mixes Christian, pro-family groups opposed to the LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) Lobby with vile neo-Nazis and white race-warriors.

The SPLC claims it is not demonizing moral and religious opposition to homosexuality but only the methods that the above conservative groups use to oppose the LGBTQ movement, but this is an absurd technicality. In another column, I will expose the arbitrariness of the SPLC’s “criteria” for determining which groups belong on its “anti-LGBT” “hate map.”

‘I’m not a hater?’

And yet, despicable as the SPLC’s hate-smear campaign is, it is highly effective. Making the spurious charge against morality-defenders as “haters” is far easier to do in our post-Christian, morally dumbed-down culture than defending oneself against the loaded accusation.

Indeed, forcing conservatives and Christians to plead defensively, “I’m not — ” is part of the SPLC’s propaganda strategy. We have become a society of simplistic slogans, like “Love is love” and “marriage equality.” In such a culture, accusing good-hearted Christians and conservatives of “hating gays” merely because they oppose (very unhealthy) homosexual behavior, “gay marriage” and creating sin-based “rights” is par for the course.

Denying that you are a “hater” when the most powerful forces in society — media, corporations, academia — are matter-of-factly echoing the SPLC smear — is sort of like denying that you beat your wife. You would never beat your wife — you are called to love her sacrificially as Christ loved the Church — but suddenly you are accused of having abused her, by an organization lionized by the press. A cunning, well-funded organization masquerading as a “civil rights” champion whose allegations are repeated far and wide with an air of moral authority and respectability.

Your pleas about the falseness of the outrageous smear are shared by friends (some similarly accused of beating their wives) but together you are drowned out by a chorus of enemies who have won the sympathy of the corrupt media.

Your only hope for justice is that a large and growing army of people — aided by some counter-cultural media leaders — comes to your aid and exposes the hateful slanders and the wicked organization behind them, so that nobody will ever believe its lies again.

This is how we must counter the SPLC’s calculated, cynical “Big Lie” against people of faith who humbly set out to speak truth, in the love of Christ, about one of the most difficult issues of our age.

Next: The shoddy research, irrationality and arbitrariness of the SPLC’s LGBT “hate group” lie.

Argentina pro-life leader: Activists are using little pregnant girls to push legal abortion

March 8, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – Last August, following the stunning upset victory of pro-lifers in Argentina, who fended off the legalization of abortion by a mere handful of votes in the senate, I intervieweda prominent Argentinian pro-life activist to discuss how the pro-life movement mobilized millions of people and what their strategy was going forward. Earlier in 2018, over three million pro-lifers had marched in the streets to demand that the government maintain protection for pre-born children in the womb, and tens of thousands took to the streets in celebration when the senatevoted narrowly against legalizing abortion. Buenos Aires became a joyful sea of blue handkerchiefs, the powerful symbol of the pro-life movement.

Pro-life activists have been preparing for the next assault on protections for pre-born children ever since, with many left-wing politicians promising to legalize abortion by other means. Abortion activists have also been seeking a difficult and tragic case to utilize in the media and build national and international support for their agenda, similar to what took place in Ireland in 1992 with the ‘X’ case. Earlier this month, an 11-year-old rape victim gave birth via C-section, apparently after requesting an abortion several times. Doctors worked to save both lives, and the abortion was refused because of complications over the girl’s guardianship.

The media is deceitfully implying — or outright claiming — that Argentina’s pro-life laws prevented this girl from getting an abortion in order to attack protections for pre-born children as cruel. Most of the international headlines state that “Argentina refused 11-year-old rape victim an abortion,” or something to that effect. In fact, abortion is actually legal in Argentina in the case of rape, and there was no law preventing the girl, who has been dubbed “Lucia” for privacy reasons, from getting an abortion. Rather, this was a complex case involving the girl’s family situation and other factors—but that, of course, interferes with the media’s preferred narrative that scores of underage rape victims are being forced to give birth because of Argentina’s pro-life laws.

To discuss what comes next for Argentina’s pro-life movement, which has suffered every slander imaginable from the international media over the past several weeks, I spoke with Camilo Duro, a 24-year-old pro-lifer working on the ground with the organization Frente Joven, a pro-life NGO that “seeks to reduce maternal and infant mortality by addressing its main causes [and] providing support to women with pregnancies at risk.” Frente Joven was also one of the leading organizations fighting the legalization of abortion last year.

"What is currently going on in Argentina?"

Today we have no idea what's going to happen undoubtedly because "the green side" is handling a communication operation. They're using a new hashtag "#NiñasNoMadres" (#GirlsNotMothers) and the media are [spreading] news of little girls pregnant, eleven or twelve years old, victims of sexual abuse. They're putting local governments and public opinion under pressure. Actually, the last two cases had the same result: premature cesarean between 23 and 25 weeks. One of the babies already died after a few days of life, and the last one, Faustina, is fighting for her life.

An abortion bill will be presented at the end of March. We have our big March for Life in two weeks, on March 23, [for] the Day of the Unborn Child. Two million people are expected to attend throughout the country.

"After last year's pro-life victory, do these latest events threaten to bring abortion to Argentina once again?"

Yes, it's not over. We are organized and giving options to our politicians to fight this inside Congress. The abortion bill is yet to come, so we're waiting. Meanwhile, we're thinking about a new communication campaign to reinforce our slogan "Save Both Lives.

"What is the pro-life movement doing to respond to what is happening?"

This week we announced a new free telephone line to help vulnerable pregnant women. We're working on a new sexual education plan, without gender ideology or promotion of early sexuality. In fact, we have five teams working on different tasks.

"What is the abortion movement's strategy?"

They want to pressure local governments to apply an illegitimate protocol created during the presidency of Cristina Kirchner. That protocol enables [women] to have an abortion in three cases: rape or sexual abuse, health risk (not life risk, just health, so they use "psychological health" as an excuse) or mental disability of the pregnant woman. But neverthelessit will probably [gain support] in Congress.

"What do we in North America need to know that the media is not telling us?"

First, we need our support throughout social networks. We're giving information through Twitter, Facebook andInstagram. Every week "Unidad Provida" is using a new hashtag to inform or to repudiate the big media fake news. It is also very important to know that we have an election year, and there's no pro-life candidate yet. It is a huge problem and pro-life people, especially inside the country, are showing disagreement [with the pro-abortion crowd] on Twitter.

Matthew Cullinan Hoffman #fundie lifesitenews.com

December 11, 2018 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A group of archeologists and other scientists say they have discovered strong evidence that the region of the “Middle Ghor,” where the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah are believed to have existed, were in fact destroyed by a meteor that exploded in the sky above, raining down superheated matter and raising temperatures to thousands of degrees, a theory that matches the account of the cities’ destruction contained in the Old Testament Book of Genesis.

According to the theory, the meteor exploded at low altitude with the force of a ten megaton atomic bomb at an altitude of about one kilometer over the northeast corner of the Dead Sea, and obliterated all of civilization in the 25-kilometer-wide circular plain that constitutes the “Middle Ghor.”

The researchers presented preliminary findings on the subject at this year’s annual meeting of the American Schools of Oriental Research in November, and have been developing the theory since at least 2015. They state that the evidence from radiocarbon dating indicates that a group of civilizations flourished in the area for over two millennia, until approximately 1700 BC, when the mud-brick walls of the buildings in the region simultaneously disappeared and only the stone foundations remained.

At the same time, the pottery in the settlements was heated into glass in the space of milliseconds, according to the results of an analysis of the Zircon crystals formed in the process, indicating that they were briefly exposed to temperatures of approximately 4000 to 12000 degrees Celsius, comparable to the temperature of the surface of the sun.

The explosion rained down platinum as well as molten lava on the region, according to two of the archeologists, and this further confirms that a meteor was the source, given that platinum is found in higher concentrations in meteors than on earth.

Approximately 40,000 to 60,000 people living in the region were killed, and a 500-square kilometer area was rendered uninhabitable for 600 to 700 years, the researchers estimate. They believe that the area was stripped of its topsoil, and that salts from the nearby Dead Sea were spread over the land, destroying its fertility.

The settlements that were annihilated in the event include the principal excavation site, “Tall el-Hammam,” which the archeologists believe is the city of Sodom, whose destruction is recounted in the Book of Genesis, chapter 19. The approximate date of the annihilation also matches the time period corresponding to the event in Genesis, according to archeologists.

The research has been carried out by the Tall el-Hammam Excavation Project (TeHEP) by a team of scientists from various universities and scientific institutes, including New Mexico Tech, Northern Arizona University, North Carolina State University, Elizabeth City (NC) State University, DePaul University, Trinity Southwest University, and Los Alamos National Laboratories.

Close correlation with the Book of Genesis, chapter 19

Two archeologists involved in the Tall el-Hammam Excavation Project, Steven Collins and Phillip Silvia, wrote in a 2015 conference paper that “the physical evidence from Tall el-Hammam and neighboring sites exhibit signs of a highly destructive concussive and thermal event that one might expect from what is described in Genesis 19.”

“The soil/ash samples gathered from Tall el-Hammam contain evidence of top-soil destruction and sub-soil contamination with Dead Sea salts that would have prevented the cultivation of crops for many centuries following the event, which explains (in part, at least) the long occupational hiatus,” they add.

According to the nineteenth chapter of the Book of Genesis, verse 24, “The Lord rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven,” a statement that matches well the high temperatures and superheated stones that would have rained from the sky in such an event.

The Hebrew word for “brimstone” is normally applied to sulfur, which is a stone that burns.

Genesis 19 also seems to describe the general devastation in the region, including the loss of plant life discovered by the archeologists, stating in verse 25, “And he destroyed these cities, and all the country about, all the inhabitants of the cities, and all things that spring from the earth.”

“The country about” is the Hebrew word “hakkikkar,” which refers to a plain seated between mountains, or a valley. Archeologists believe this area to be the Middle Ghor.

Genesis adds that Abraham “looked towards Sodom and Gomorrah, and the whole land of that country: and he saw the ashes rise up from the earth as the smoke of a furnace.”

Genesis and other books of the Bible state that Sodom was destroyed in retribution for the sexual perversion of the inhabitants, particularly their desire for sexual relations with the same sex, which the Scripture calls an “abomination.”

The New Testament Letter of Jude likens fires that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah to the “eternal fire” of hell.

“Sodom and Gomorrah, and the neighboring cities...having given themselves to fornication, and going after other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire,” the letter states in chapter one.

Calvin Frieburger #fundie lifesitenews.com

(LifeSiteNews) – A coalition of Jewish female educators in Israel has issued a statement forcefully denouncing homosexual activists for advancing a conception of “family” that they say is incompatible with God’s teachings.

The group, which consists of 75 educators, Torah lecturers, and wives of rabbis, was started by Dr. Leah Weisel, the Dean of Students at Israel’s religious Orot Israel College of Education. Rabbi Yaakov Menken, managing director of the Maryland-based Coalition for Jewish Values, provided LifeSiteNews with an English translation of their remarks.

“The Torah of Israel teaches us clearly and unambiguously what a family is: a covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, who will, with G-d's help, be blessed with children,” they write. “This model was established in the beginning of Creation, even prior to the formation of the Jewish People. This is the family, and there is no other.”

While affirming that the Torah commands “empathy and affection” for people “wrestling with difficulties concerning their sexual identity,” the fact remains that “legitimizing a ‘new family’” requires a distortion and selective application of the Torah’s values, the group notes.

“At the very basis of the Torah of Israel are many values: mercy, freedom of choice, family wholeness, loving one's neighbor, human dignity and sexual restraint,” the statement reads. “All of these must be advanced, but it is unacceptable to pick and choose equality and individual liberty as the sole values of significance.

“We are disturbed by the prevalent atmosphere of suppressing any voice expressing loyalty to tradition,” they add.

Stressing that the family has “preserved [Israel’s] national integrity through the ages,” the group concludes that only “rely[ing] upon received Jewish Law” can “provide a complete answer [to modern challenges] without giving up on the eternal values of the Torah of Israel.”

The statement was motivated in part as a response to “gay pride” parades that took place in Israeli cities such as Jerusalem and Tel Aviv this summer, drawing international attention.

Israel has a variety of pro-LGBT policies in effect, including “anti-discrimination” provisions, open military service, same-sex adoption, and recognition of same-sex “marriages” performed aborad (Israel does not perform any civil marriages domestically). LGBT activists recently took to the streets to protest the passage of legislation disqualifying homosexual couples from surrogacy, however.

“What is remarkable is that [the 75 women], like the 200 rabbis, are not part of any group, they all joined together to sign this statement,” Menken told LifeSiteNews, referencing a coalition of rabbis that spoke out against LGBT activists last month. “The gay activists seem to have set off a firestorm, and now there is a sincere pushback coming from the traditional community, which is unwilling to sacrifice children on the altar of political correctness.

“If the data clearly shows that children raised outside traditional families are more likely to grow up into troubled adults, it is morally wrong to deliberately place children outside traditional families,” Menken continued. “And that's all we are saying.”

Below is an English translation of the group’s full statement:

We, Rebbetzins, educators and Torah lecturers feel a Torah-based, moral, and educational responsibility to express our clear and unequivocal opinion regarding concepts which have become controversial as a result of the recent LGBT protests.

The Torah of Israel teaches us clearly and unambiguously what a family is: a covenant of marriage between a man and a woman, who will, with G-d's help, be blessed with children.

This model was established in the beginning of Creation, even prior to the formation of the Jewish People. This is the family, and there is no other.

The Torah of Israel also teaches us how to love our friends and others, and how to relate to other people, [especially] to the orphan, the widow and the stranger.

It is from within the Torah that we are commanded to love every member of the People of Israel, and to feel empathy and affection, as well, for those wrestling with difficulties concerning their sexual identity.

Nonetheless, even with all of the foregoing, there is no place to gloss over the severe prohibition and distortion involved in legitimizing a "new family."

At the very basis of the Torah of Israel are many values: mercy, freedom of choice, family wholeness, loving one's neighbor, human dignity and sexual restraint.

All of these must be advanced, but it is unacceptable to pick and choose equality and individual liberty as the sole values of significance.

The Jewish family has preserved our national integrity throughout the ages, and it will survive the current upheavals.

We are disturbed by the prevalent atmosphere of suppressing any voice expressing loyalty to tradition.

As women whose lives are dedicated to Torah and education, women who have a sympathetic ear for persons with myriad anxieties, among them those with different affinities, we perceive the obligation to rely upon received Jewish Law.

We believe that in this way, with a clear Torah outlook, it is possible to provide a complete answer [to modern challenges] without giving up on the eternal values of the Torah of Israel.

We pray that the words of the Prophet Zechariah come to pass: "May you love truth and peace."

JERUSALEM, Israel, July 27, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Orthodox rabbis in the Holy City are reportedly calling out LGBT rights groups for using “aggressive terror” tactics to turn “perverts into heroes” in a letter published by Hebrew media.

The group of more than 200 rabbis wrote the letter in support of Jerusalem Chief Rabbi Aryeh Stern whose comments against LGBT adoption have created a stir.

In the wake of Israel passing a law to prevent gay couples from obtaining children through surrogates, massive protests erupted in Jerusalem Sunday, drawing upwards of 100,000 people.

LGBT activists were decrying the Israeli government’s claim that it would be an “additional burden” on the child to be adopted by a same-sex couple.

Then, Rabbi Stern whipped LGBT groups into frenzy by reportedly stating it is a “fact that kids are entering very strange and unnatural lives of living without a mother and a father”. He also reportedly called acting out as an LGBT person “forbidden”.

In a letter, more than 200 orthodox rabbis backed him up.

“[He] simply voiced the eternal truth of our holy Torah and human normality, which the healthy majority in Israel identifies with,” the rabbis wrote in that letter.

They accused LGBT groups of using “aggressive terror accompanied by non-stop media brainwashing,” in attempts to turn “perverts into heroes.”

That LGBT agenda will not succeed nor will attempts to shut rabbis and sane people up and try to turn them into delusional extremists, the rabbis reportedly wrote.

“Rabbi Stern was protecting the children of Israel, who will be miserable if they aren’t adopted by normal families,” the rabbis claimed.

In some LGBT media, the idea children raised by gay couples would fare any worse was summarily dismissed.

In an article in Pink News, writer Josh Jackman defended the ability of same-sex couples to raise happy, well-adjusted children by pointing to a study that concluded children of same-sex couples are just as happy and healthy as children of straight parents.

There are studies that show either no differences between children raised in same-sex households and those in traditional families with a married mom and dad. Many of those studies have been criticized for methodological sloppiness.

And there’s a lot of evidence in other studies that show a family with a married mother and father remains the best way to raise a child.

In his study, Growing up with gay parents: What is the big deal?, Dr. Richard P. Fitzgibbons surveyed those studies.

Among his findings, Fitzgibbons noted when gay couples bring a child into the world with the help of a surrogate, that boy or girl is more likely to have trouble adjusting by the age of seven than other children.

Another difference the physician highlighted was revealed in a 2013 Canadian study which showed children of gay and lesbian couples are only about 65 per cent as likely to graduate from high school as children of married, traditional couples.

In addition, a 2009 study of women raised by gay or bisexual fathers showed they were less comfortable with closeness and intimacy, less able to trust and depend on others, and experienced more anxiety in relationships compared to women raised by heterosexual parents.

Other studies report rates of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and emotional problems being twice as high among children raised by same-sex parents as among the general population.

“An objective examination of social science research into how families function reveals clearly that children do best when raised by both a mother and a father,” concluded Fitzgibbons.

Prior to becoming Pope Benedict XVI, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger summarized what several scientific studies of same-sex couples have since indicated.

“The absence of complementarity in these unions (same sex) creates obstacles in the normal development of children who would be placed in the care of such persons,” wrote Ratzinger, then head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. “They would be deprived of the experience of either fatherhood or motherhood.

“Allowing children to be adopted by persons living in such unions would actually mean doing violence to these children, in the sense that the condition of dependency would be used to place them in an environment that is not conducive to their full human development,” he said.

February 8, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – The daughter of famed science fiction author Marion Zimmer Bradley has written an autobiographical account revealing the horrors of growing up in a home raised by LGBT parents who repeatedly sexually abused her and her brothers.

“I have heard all the customary protestations. ‘Your parents were evil because they were evil, not because they were gay,’ but I disagree,” writes Moira Greyland in her new book, The Last Closet: The Dark Side of Avalon.

“The underlying problem is a philosophical one that is based on beliefs that are not only common to gay culture but to popular culture. And this is the central belief: All Sex is Always Right No Matter What,” she wrote.

“I had both biological parents in the home, but both refused to act like traditional parents,” writes Greyland. “I needed my father to protect me and to see me as a girl instead of refusing to protect me and seeing me as an amorphous nothing who competed with him for boys. I needed my mother to love me and hold me and comfort me instead of being a terrifying, angry dictator. Worse than that, I was expected to not want them to love me and protect me, or to act like normal parents. I was supposed to be happy that they were doing their own thing, no matter what they did to us.”

The Last Closet has been an Amazon bestseller for weeks as a Kindle e-book, and is scheduled to be published as a print book this month. Over one hundred readers have reviewed it, and virtually all have given it five stars.

The book recounts Greyland’s life with her mother, who was the author of The Mists of Avalon and many other famous works of science fiction and fantasy, and her father, Walter Breen, who was a world-renowned authority on numismatics. Both identified as “gay,” both abused drugs and were involved in occult practices, and both were pedophiles, Greyland says, a claim that has been confirmed by her only surviving brother.

The couple’s LGBT ideology was constantly imposed on the children by both parents. Greyland says that Zimmer Bradley expected her to take on masculine mannerisms and to become a lesbian, and was disappointed in her attraction to the opposite sex, accusing her of being a “breeder.” Greyland also had to hide from her parents her conversion to Christianity which would have been received with terrible derision.

Alarmingly, Greyland reveals that her parents’ sympathetic views of pedophilia and pederasty had been a public fact for decades, one known particularly among science fiction and fantasy fans who attended fan conferences. Science fiction fans documented Breen's molestation of at least ten children by 1963, which had only resulted in his temporary exclusion from the largest science fiction fan convention, Worldcon, and was never reported to the police. Breen continued to attend conferences for many years afterward, baiting children he targeted with abuse with various science education gadgets that would attract their attention.

Greyland writes that Breen was an open member of the “North American Man-Boy Love Association,” and he saw his pederastic proclivities as a natural consequence of his homosexuality. He and Zimmer Bradley jointly published a journal on pederasty and pedophilia, The International Journal of Greek Love, in 1965 and 1966, and Zimmer wrote an article for it treating lesbian pedophilia in a positive manner.

As awareness grew of Breen’s molestation of children among Berkeley science fiction fans in 1963, a newsletter was published about the problem that came to be called the “Breendoggle,” which openly speculated that Zimmer Bradley was tolerant of Breen’s behavior. However, the truth about Zimmer Bradley’s own sexual abuse of her daughter did not come to light until 2014, when Greyland was asked about her parents’ connection to pedophilia by the blogger and science fiction writer Deirdre Saoirse Moen.

Greyland’s response, published in Moen’s blog, received heavy coverage by major media outlets worldwide, including The Washington Post, The Guardian, Die Welt, and Entertainment Weekly. Many fans and former acquaintances of Zimmer Bradley denounced her, and some even burned her books.

“The first time she molested me, I was three. The last time, I was twelve, and able to walk away,” wrote Moira Greyland of her mother.

“I put Walter in jail for molesting one boy. I had tried to intervene when I was 13 by telling Mother and [Zimmer Bradley’s girlfriend] Lisa, and they just moved him into his own apartment.”

“I had been living partially on couches since I was ten years old because of the out of control drugs, orgies, and constant flow of people in and out of our family 'home.'"

The family’s secrets began to unravel in the late 1980s, when Moira, now an adult, personally saw her father sexually abusing a boy and reported him to the police. Her testimony ensured a second conviction after an earlier arrest and conviction in the 1950s. Soon after, police uncovered the previous conviction as well as other accusations of sexual molestation, and prosecutors were able to send Walter Breen to prison for the rest of his life. Breen never repented of his acts, and always defended them, treating himself as a victim of an ignorant and backward society. He died of cancer while in jail awaiting transfer to long-term imprisonment.

Zimmer Bradley and her lesbian partner Elisabeth Walters went on the record in ensuing civil litigation admitting to knowing about Breen’s proclivities, and ultimately agreed to pay a civil settlement to Breen’s victims. However, their fans remained generally unaware of Zimmer Bradley’s own acts of sexual abuse until Moira and her brother Patrick began to speak publicly about it in 2014.

The trauma suffered by Moira and Patrick was so great that both of them chose a new last name, “Greyland,” to repudiate their parents’ last names. The abuse was not only sexual, but also physical and psychological, and was so savage that both siblings continue to suffer from powerful symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.

Greyland says she has spoken to many others who were raised by LGBT parents and their stories are very similar to her own.

“Every single child of gay parents with whom I spoke had certain things in common,” she writes in The Last Closet. “Those with only same-sex parents in the home ached for their missing parent and longed for a real father, and nearly all of us had been sexualized far too young.”

In the wake of claims that so-called “fake news” helped turn voters against Hillary Clinton and toward Donald Trump in the last election, the term itself has become so overused that it is nearly meaningless. Trump uses the “fake news” label to deride the mainstream media and highlight their liberal bias, while the Democrats insist that “fake news” tricked many ordinary people into voting against their own interests. Since then, there has been much discussion concerning how to limit “fake news” — Canadian, German, and American politicians have all cited “fake news” as a concern that needs to be addressed.

As a pro-life activist, these sorts of discussions make me nervous. Not because I don’t think that any “fake news” exists — I see plenty of social media posts from obviously fake websites peddling obviously fictitious stories. What concerns me is the fact that I don’t trust government authorities or the mainstream media or the academic establishment to determine what is and is not “fake news.” Inevitably, this sort of thing will end up resulting in the censorship of views that progressives dislike.

Consider the current conversation on abortion, for example. How often are media sources actually willing to discuss what abortion is? Pro-lifers are portrayed as wild-eyed religious fanatics or fundamentalist throwbacks trying to control female sexuality, while abortion supporters are portrayed as liberty-loving reproductive rights warriors. But imagine if a newspaper simply printed photographs of the human being in the womb at each stage of development, from conception until birth, and asked questions about when it was ethical to end that life? Or imagine if journalists confronted politicians with the fact that abortion often involves doctors tearing the limbs from the bodies of pre-born children, and asked if this was a humane response to a crisis pregnancy?

This, of course, would never happen. Media discussions of abortion exclude any details of the procedure we’re actually talking about. When the Planned Parenthood videos were released, for example, the media immediately accused David Daleiden and his investigators of “deceptively editing” the footage. Let’s say, for the sake of the argument, that the media’s accusation had been correct. What about all those discussions about “crushing” the fetus? What about those abortionist panels that had audiences in stitches over stray eyeballs plopping into the doctor’s lap? What about the abortionist casually chatting about how she had to “pull off a leg or two” during abortions? Nobody was claiming that those videos were “deceptively edited,” because they obviously were not. So why did those — and many other — horrific revelations not make the news?

The reason is simple. The abortion industry has progressive politicians, the mainstream media, and much of academia running cover for their barbarism. The media assists them in the coverup of what actually takes place within the abortion industry, which is why bombshell videos of abused animals get nonstop coverage but casual discussions about crushing tiny human beings gets dismissed and the whistleblowers maligned and slandered. That’s also why it took a concentrated social media shaming campaign to get even the slightest bit of news coverage for the Kermit Gosnell trial, where America’s most prolific serial killer was being charged with murder. Some journalists openly admitted that they didn’t want to cover the trial because it made the abortion industry look bad.

If we want to see what abortion activists intend to do to free speech, all we have to do is look at Europe. Two Members of European Parliament have begun the process of attempting to criminalize pro-life views and assert that opposition to abortion is “a form of violence.” The French Broadcasting Council and the French State Council actually banned a beautiful video called “Dear Future Mom,” because it showcased happy, smiling children with Down syndrome telling parents not to worry, and that they loved their parents like any other child would. It was decided, however, that this video would make the thousands of mothers who decided to abort their child with Down syndrome feel bad, and thus it should be censored. Those who are willing to violently end the lives of pre-born children will think nothing of censoring the truth and restricting freedom of speech.

“Fake news” may be a problem, but it is a problem borne out of our divided society, where nobody can agree on what the truth is anymore — if “truth” even exists. When government bodies and academic institutions begin to discuss how to address “fake news,” you can be sure that they do not simply mean fabricated stories with no basis in fact. They also mean the truth about abortion, and a wealth of information that they find inconvenient to furthering their so-called progressive causes. Our media and our politicians assist in the coverup of some of humanity’s greatest crimes, inflicted on our own offspring. They are not committed to truth, and we must be very wary when they begin to pretend as if they are.

Gay activists are coming after Christian churches next—and it’s already happening

November 19, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Over the past decade, attacks on Canada’s Christian communities by LGBT activists have escalated significantly. In Alberta, Education Minister David Eggen is threatening to defund and possibly shut down religious schools that do not accept Gay-Straight alliance clubs. Canada’s Supreme Court recently ruled against Trinity Western University, a private Christian institution in British Columbia, for having students agree to a lifestyle contract upon enrollment. And of course, attempts to force schools to teach gender ideology are taking place simultaneously in nearly every province across the country.

I’ve seen many Canadian Christians post articles describing these events on social media, often accompanied by the million dollar question: “What’s next?” I suspect that I’ve known the answer to that question for some time, but recent events in Ontario indicate that it could happen sooner than I’d thought. The potential catalyst is a story that has been reported on breathlessly by Canadian media for just over a week now.

A Bowmanville woman, Kimberley Mills, was attending the Calvary Baptist Church in Oshawa, Ontario. Calvary Baptist, like most churches (and all Christian churches for the past two thousand years prior to a few decades ago) holds to the traditional biblical teaching on sexual morality. Mills, however, has been in a relationship with her partner Meghan Fowler for several years. Despite the many liberal churches she could have attended that would have been more than thrilled to celebrate her relationship, Mills chose to attend a church that adheres to what the Bible says about sexuality, and even to serve as youth leader.

After sharing with people in her church that she was in a long-term same-sex relationship, she was removed from the membership rolls of Calvary Baptist Church in November, and received a letter from the church leadership informing her of this fact. This is standard practice for many churches: Membership is voluntary, but members must abide by the rules of the church community. As reported by the Toronto Star:

“It is a very serious matter to remove a member for discipline as you will note in the 1 Corinthians 5:5 text, and our hearts are broken over it,” said the letter signed by Dr. Tim Wagner, deacon chair.
Representatives from the church released a followup statement to say that everyone is welcome to attend Sunday services, regardless of whether they are members. However, the church does have the option to remove someone from membership — a “voluntary association of like-minded individuals.”
“We love and care for everyone since we are all made in the Image of God,” said the Calvary Baptist Church statement. “Those who choose to become members of Calvary Baptist Church share our theological and doctrinal beliefs and agree to live in accordance with those beliefs. When an individual ceases to hold those beliefs or live in accordance with them, as has recently happened, that individual may be removed from membership but always remains welcome to attend our services and other programs.”

The letter informed her that she was “living in disobedience to the Scriptures,” which made Mills very upset. The Star noted that this conflict “thrust [her] into the role of gay rights advocate,” and quoted Mills explaining that, “It’s clear that something needs to change. I feel that God designed me the way I am and He’s going to love me the way I am.” She promptly went public on social media, and says she has been (predictably) receiving much public support, as well as getting many messages from pastors informing her that they were in complete approval of her relationship. Again, it is difficult to understand why Mills did not choose to attend a church presided by over one of those pastors to begin with.

Mills now says that she had “started to be concerned about coming out at the church when a sermon took a strong stand against homosexuality,” and “felt like she wasn’t able to be true to herself while at church.” (This is understandable, as biblical churches do not exist to help people feel “true to themselves,” but rather speak of the need for repentance and obedience to God.) Mills had several discussions with church leaders that she found unsatisfactory, and instead decided to leave the church—“but she plans to continue speaking out about her experience.”

That experience has already attracted the attention of one gay activist, who has now put Calvary Baptist Church in his crosshairs:

Oshawa community advocate Mac Moreau has launched a letter-writing campaign asking the Canada Revenue Agency to review the charitable status of Calvary Baptist Church. As a registered charity, churches receive significant tax breaks from the provincial and federal government — with the requirement that churches devote all of their resources to charity.

“The church has allowed its resources to be used for activities that promote hate and intolerance,” said Moreau. “If you are going to promote hate and intolerance, you shouldn’t receive benefits from the Canadian government that all Canadians contribute to.”

Moreau said the letter — and potentially ensuing CRA assessment — isn’t meant to close the Calvary Baptist Church. The aim is to support other gay parishioners who are feeling pushed out of their churches, and to hopefully serve as a warning to all churches that preach intolerance.

“This isn’t meant to destroy a church family,” said Moreau, who attended the Calvary Baptist Church as a child and said he later left over concerns about the messages of obedience and intolerance. “This is simply to say in this day-and-age, when you’re receiving benefits from the public purse, this is not acceptable.”
This will be the next strategic move on the part of Canadian LGBT activists. Justin Trudeau’s Liberal government has already placed an ideological litmus test (which includes LGBT issues as well as abortion) as a prerequisite for gaining access to the Canada Summer Jobs Program, and soon enough LGBT activists will turn their attention to those churches (and other religious institutions) that still hold to the traditional biblical teaching on sexuality. Perhaps Kimberley Mills will be the catalyst, or perhaps somebody else will. But it will happen, and probably sooner rather than later.

LGBT activists will soon demand that governments strip charitable status from any church or institution that disagrees with their ideology of sexuality, and will accuse any politician who declines to do so of being a homophobe or a transphobe. They will claim that these churches make the lives of LGBT people miserable, and that they should be condemned by all people of goodwill. Any good that these churches do, they will say, is vastly outweighed by their fundamental bigotry. And if the past is any indication, Canada’s spineless politicians will fall into line and do just that.

Here’s why even Christians can’t stand Matt Walsh

If Ben Shapiro is the gentleman boxer of conservative commentary, his Daily Wire colleague Matt Walsh is definitely a doomsday prophet in sackcloth and ashes. Each new essay-length column fairly drips with depressing details of why, exactly, our culture is broken, our Christianity is shallow, and our countries are tearing themselves apart. Despite this, Walsh has hundreds of thousands of readers, and for the same reason Shapiro is so popular: He’s generally right.

Reading Matt Walsh’s essays often is, as my friend once said about Peter Hitchens’ weekly column, like a thunder-shower on a day when you had plans outdoors. His writing, his social media comments, and even his videos seem to show someone who is deeply burdened about the state of the culture, and his demeanour often appears melancholic. I bumped into Walsh only once, when I was doing an interview for EWTN right after him, and his somber look as he strode out of the studio-area seemed to confirm his online persona.

What I really appreciate about Matt Walsh is that he decides to target topics that he knows will enrage his own readership. He could stick to columns condemning abortion, or prosperity preachers, or even sexual immorality, and his base would largely love it. But Walsh goes after the sacred cow of many churches: Their entertainment. And as he has often said himself, nothing enrages modern Christians more than questioning what they’ve decided to watch or do in their spare time.

Walsh has written columns on why horror movies are repulsive and the morbid fascination with films where human beings are horribly tortured, dismembered, and sliced up in scenes that are often perversely sexually charged. Predictably, there was backlash—because when you read a description of horror movies in black and white on the page, suddenly it seems rather hard to justify. Suddenly the idea of watching people scream and writhe in horrible pain for the purpose of entertainment seems—well, pretty screwed up.

Walsh also went after violent video games, again asking why Christians find it acceptable to spend time simulating the killing of other people, sometimes even through stabbing, hacking, and strangulation. Again, the backlash online was immediate—and far louder and more vicious than if Walsh had penned a column condemning the hypocrisy of the Left. The same happened when Walsh asked why the pagan origins of yoga didn’t bother anyone, and when he demanded to know how Christians could justify the savage sexual violence and openly pornographic nature of the HBO show Game of Thrones, which—believe it or not—many Christians insist is a perfectly acceptable thing to watch.

I thought of Walsh’s work when I read a short blog post recently by the popular Christian blogger Tim Challies, who has also written frequently on the inability of modern church-goers to handle any criticism of their entertainment choices without instant anger and defensiveness. It was titled “Are You Godly Enough to Watch Smut?” and addressed the simple fact that Christians today are willing to defend entertainment that Christians a mere century—or even fifty years ago—would without question find appalling and wicked in the extreme. Challies also noted that the TV show Stranger Thingswas very popular in his circles—but that when he tried to watch it, he was confronted with scenes his conscience would not allow: "To create Stranger Things a group of people filmed an actual eighteen-year-old girl actually taking off her shirt and actually simulating losing her virginity to an actual teenaged boy. They did that for our pleasure, for our entertainment, so we could see it. What on this side of hell could justify me, a nearly forty-year-old man, watching a production that involves an eighteen-year-old girl—someone’s daughter, someone’s future wife—disrobing and writhing her way through simulated sex with a manipulative, hormone-driven boyfriend?"

One of the reasons Walsh and often Challies are so controversial is that they puncture the hypocrisy of a modern Christianity that condemns porn, unless it is in the movies and TV shows that they like. Violence is wrong, but pretending to gruesomely kill people is okay, and kicking back with a bowl of popcorn to watch people get dismembered and horribly tormented is okay, too. And the backlash that these writers receive to columns making these very obvious points is hugely indicative: Modern Christians get angrier about the prospect of giving up their TV shows and their movies than they do about giving up their religious liberty.

Debunking the myth of ‘back-alley’ abortions

August 5, 2016 (LiveActionNews) — The abortion industry claims that if abortion was outlawed, it would mean a return to the “coat hanger” or “back-alley” abortions. They argue that abortions would no longer be the “safe” procedures they are now, and women would continue having them at much the same rate. However, research shows that these arguments are false.

Former abortionist Dr. Bernard Nathanson, co-founder of NARAL, discussed how the abortion industry purposely fabricated the number of illegal abortions prior to Roe v. Wade.

Nathanson admitted that fictional polls were created in order to convince the public of the need for legal abortion. He said abortion activists sold Americans the lie that thousands of women were dying annually from back-alley abortions, when the actual figure was in the hundreds.

Knowing that if a true poll were taken, we would be soundly defeated, we simply fabricated the results of fictional polls. We announced to the media that we had taken polls and that 60% of Americans were in favor of permissive abortion. This is the tactic of the self-fulfilling lie. Few people care to be in the minority.

We aroused enough sympathy to sell our program of permissive abortion by fabricating the number of illegal abortions done annually in the U.S. The actual figure was approaching 100,000 but the figure we gave to the media repeatedly was 1,000,000. Repeating the big lie often enough convinces the public. The number of women dying from illegal abortions was around 200 – 250 annually. The figure constantly fed to the media was 10,000.

These false figures took root in the consciousness of Americans convincing many that we needed to crack the abortion law. Another myth we fed to the public through the media was that legalizing abortion would only mean that the abortions taking place illegally would then be done legally. In fact, of course, abortion is now being used as a primary method of birth control in the U.S. and the annual number of abortions has increased by 1500% since legalization.

Nathanson’s admissions reveal that the abortion lobby generated a false media hysteria that led to the Roe v. Wade decision. Under the guise of protecting women, activists pushed abortion into the American culture.

But although a procedure may be “legal,” it does not mean it is safe or sanitary. The term “back-alley” is another abortion lobby misnomer that masks the violence that every abortion procedure inflicts. Abortion always destroys the life of an innocent human being, and it is an invasive procedure that poses many health risks to the woman.

In addition, many abortion facilities still hold the “back-alley” conditions reminiscent to eras before Roe. Abortion centers today — such as ones in New York City — are inspected less than tanning salons. Over the years, the public has learned of facilities like Kermit Gosnell’s “house of horrors,” which contained dirty equipment, jars of baby body parts, a freezer full of aborted children, blood-stained blankets, and “a flea-infested cat— wandering through the facility.”

While many contend Gosnell is an outlier, the American Center for Law and Justice reported in 2013 that 362 babies had been born alive in the last decade as a result of botched abortions. Stories continue to emerge of botched abortions in legal abortion facilities.

The notion that regulating abortion will cause women to seek an illegal “back-alley” procedure is a myth. A study in 2012 reveals that outlawing abortion in Chile not only saved children, but advanced women’s health. Chile was a prime nation to study this effect because before the country banned “therapeutic” abortions in 1989, abortion was largely legal.

The study, led by epidemiologist Elard S. Koch from the University of Chile, showed that restrictive abortion laws were good for women’s health.

Similar to restrictions on alcohol or tobacco, restrictive abortion laws acted to dissuade. The study concluded that even with these restrictions, Chile has one of the lowest abortion-related maternal mortality rates in the world.

These data suggest that over time, restrictive laws may have a restraining effect on the practice of abortion and promote its decrease. In fact, Chile exhibits today one of the lowest abortion-related maternal deaths in the world, with a 92.3% decrease since 1989 and a 99.1% accumulated decrease over 50 years.

The study also found that when combined with public health services for women, abortion restrictions are actually effective at saving lives. It also affirmed that making abortion illegal does not increase maternal deaths.

While the abortion industry asserts that abortion regulations or bans would result in a back-alley abortion surge, the facts simply say the opposite.

Alfred Kinsey was a pervert and a sex criminal

He is known as “The Father of the Sexual Revolution,” and if you’ve ever taken a university course on 20th century history, you’ll have heard his name: Alfred Kinsey.

Kinsey was not only the “father” of the Sexual Revolution, he set the stage for the massive social and cultural upheaval of the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s with his 1948 Sexual Behavior in the Human Maleand his 1953 Sexual Behavior in the Human Female.

These books revealed to a shocked and somewhat titillated population things they had never known about themselves: That between 30-45% of men had affairs, 85% of men had had sex prior to marriage, that a staggering 70% of men had slept with prostitutes, and that between 10 and 37% of men had engaged in homosexual behavior.

Much less talked about were his other disturbing “findings”—an in-depth study on the “sexual behavior” of children, as well as claims that nearly 10% of men had performed sex acts with animals (as well as 3.6% of women), and that this number rose to between 40-50% based on proximity to farms

Kinsey’s research portrayed people as amoral and sex-driven, and is credited as fundamentally changing the way our culture views sex.

But was he right?

To begin with, the integrity of much of his work has long since been called into question: among his questionable practices, Kinsey encouraged those he was working with to engage in all types of sexual activity as a form of research, misrepresented single people as married, and hugely over represented incarcerated sex criminals and prostitutes in his data.

But beyond this is the simple fact that Kinsey himself was a pervert and a sex criminal.

For example, where did he get all of his data on the “sexual behavior of children”? The answer is nothing short of chilling. Dr. Judith Reisman (whose research has since been confirmed time and time again) explained in her ground-breaking work Sex, Lies and Kinsey that Kinsey facilitated brutal sexual abuse to get his so-called research: "Kinsey solicited and encouraged pedophiles, at home and abroad, to sexually violate from 317 to 2,035 infants and children for his alleged data on normal “child sexuality.” Many of the crimes against children (oral and anal sodomy, genital intercourse and manual abuse) committed for Kinsey’s research are quantified in his own graphs and charts. For example, “Table 34” on page 180 of Kinsey’s “Sexual Behavior in the Human Male” claims to be a “scientific” record of “multiple orgasm in pre-adolescent males.” Here, infants as young as five months were timed with a stopwatch for “orgasm” by Kinsey’s “technically trained” aides, with one four-year-old tested 24 consecutive hours for an alleged 26 “orgasms.” Sex educators, pedophiles and their advocates commonly quote these child “data” to prove children’s need for homosexual, heterosexual and bisexual satisfaction via “safe-sex” education. These data are also regularly used to “prove” children are sexual from birth."

The man heralded with enthusiasm by mainstream publications such as Timeand Life Magazine was nothing less than a monstrous facilitator of child-rape. In fact, he even went so far as to record children shrieking and thrashing in pain, passing out and convulsing as the result of the hellish abuse he was putting them through, as evidence of “orgasm”—especially for children who could not yet speak.

Kinsey’s so-called research was simply a quest to justify the fact that he himself was a deeply disturbed man. Dr. Reisman writes, “Both of Kinsey’s most recent admiring biographers confessed he was a sadistic bi/homosexual, who seduced his male students and coerced his wife, his staff and the staff’s wives to perform for and with him in illegal pornographic films made in the family attic. Kinsey and his mates, Wardell Pomeroy, Clyde Martin and Paul Gebhard, had ‘front’ Marriages that concealed their strategies to supplant what they say as a narrow pro-creational Judeo-Christian era with a promiscuous ‘anything goes’ bi/gay pedophile paradise.”

Got that? The Father of the Sexual Revolution was a sado-masochistic bi-sexual sex criminal who facilitated the sexual torture of infants and children. His goal was not just to engage in scientific research in order to see where the data took him, but rather, as one of his prominent biographers Michael Jones notes, to launch a crusade to undermine traditional sexual morality. He did so to wild success—Kinsey’s influence on sex education and law in the Western world is absolutely staggering.

Some have claimed that even though Kinsey may have been disturbed and engaged in immoral behavior, his fundamental conclusions and his data still remain accurate. This, too, proves blatantly false. According to Dr. Reisman:

1. [Dr. Kinsey’s team] ‘forced’ subjects to give the desired answers to their sex questions, 2. Secretly trashed three quarters of their research data, and 3. Based their claims about normal males on a roughly 86 percent aberrant male population including 200 sexual psychopaths, 1,400 sex offenders and hundreds each of prisoners, male prostitutes and promiscuous homosexuals. Moreover, so few normal women would talk to them that the Kinsey team labeled women who lived over a year with a man ‘married,’ reclassifying data on prostitutes and other unconventional women as “Susie Homemaker.”
It is crucially important that people become aware of the truth behind the Kinsey Reports.

Today’s pornified sex educators, legal experts, academics, and more disturbingly, pedophile groups such as NAMBLA pushing “inter-generational intimacy,” all use Kinsey’s work to justify their agendas and lend their causes scientific credibility.

Most people have no idea who Alfred Kinsey really was and how his so-called research was actually performed. I myself first heard of Alfred Kinsey in the first year of my history degree at university, where my professor announced that there “was no Sexual Revolution at all”—because the Kinsey Reports proved that people had been engaging in all sorts of bizarre and criminal sexual behaviors all along.

The real story is horrifying. It is stomach-churning. But it is also crucial that we know how, exactly, we got to this place in our culture of such sexual nihilism.

Jordan Hunt #fundie lifesitenews.com

TORONTO, October 3, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) — The man captured on video roundhouse-kicking a pro-life woman has been identified, and he’s lost his contract at a Toronto hair salon as a result.

As discovered by many internet sleuths, the man in the video taken at Sunday’s Life Chain event is Jordan Hunt, employed at Noble Studio 101 at the time of the violent incident at Sunday’s Life Chain.

The shocking 46-second clip by Marie-Claire Bissonnette, youth coordinator with Campaign Life Coalition, went viral after it was published on LifeSiteNews Tuesday, reaching number 8 on YouTube on Wednesday, with over 500,000 views as of publication, and sparking widespread discussion on social media.

Noble Studio 101 posted a statement on Instagram Wednesday that “it has been brought to our attention that Jordan Hunt has been caught on camera assaulting an innocent bystander at a pro-life rally. We don’t condone his actions and he has been let go.”

A representative of the hair salon confirmed this when contacted by LifeSiteNews.

“We’re four strong women here,” she said. “We don’t condone any kind of violence— Everybody has their own opinion and different ways of thinking, but violence is not the answer. He won’t be stepping his foot through the door again.”

Bissonnette approached Hunt while filming with her phone after he scribbled on Life Chain signs and on jackets of pro-life participants with a marker, she related in her LifeSiteNews account.

After a brief discussion, he suddenly roundhouse kicked her with lightning speed, knocking the phone out of her hand. He also tore a Campaign Life ribbon off her jacket before running off, Bissonnette related.
Bissonnette has filed a report with the Toronto Police, but according to police spokesperson Katrina Arrogante, the details of the incident are “on file and the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.”

She added: “This is an ongoing investigation and any leads regarding the alleged suspect is part of that.”
Hunt’s profile has been removed from the Noble Studio 101’s website, but according to a screenshot, he is writing a book on “The Hippy Swamp Witch, a guide to natural living,” and developing his own product line. He was formerly employed at Coupe Bizarre on Queen Street West.

Hunt’s Instragram account had been shut down Wednesday night.

Bissonnette says she intends to press charges, and is urging people to pray for Hunt.

The lies you were taught about the sexual revolution—that you still don’t know were lies

“The most effective way to destroy people,” George Orwell once noted, “is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.” In today’s culture, knowledge of history is, itself, fast becoming history.

Late-night hosts sometimes make comedic hay of this growing cultural Alzheimer’s by asking people in the street mundane questions such as “Who were our allies in World War II?” to hilariously cringe-worthy responses. But there is a distinctly unfunny side to our forgetfulness. We are very much at risk, as the old saying goes, not just of repeating history because we have forgotten it, but of repeating it without even being aware that we are repeating it.

It was this point that veteran Canadian journalist and author Ted Byfield emphasized over and over when I spoke with him some time ago. “We are swiftly abandoning many of the fundamental social and moral principles upon which our civilization is based,” he said. “That is, we’re zealously cutting off the branch we’re sitting on—very few people, whether educated or uneducated, know where those principles came from, and how we came to embrace them. We are dangerously ignorant of our own heritage and history.”

Byfield is right. When I began researching the social history of the West several years ago, I found myself consistently stunned by the simple fact that much of what I’d been taught - or at least led to believe - was untrue. While many university professors are lovely teachers and impressive academics that I count myself privileged to have met, there are also many aging hippies who abandoned their communes for a more fertile way of disseminating their ideology—academia. In lecture halls in front of thousands of students, they sell their own version of how history has unfolded, leaving most of us completely unaware of how things have actually happened.

Since I finished my own degree in history, I have often pondered this irony: that Christian parents will struggle against the influences of the culture in order to inculcate their children with traditional values and a Christian worldview, and then pony up tens of thousands of dollars to universities just to give their faculties four years to convince their children to abandon this worldview.

For example, I was taught in first year history that the Sexual Revolution hadn’t actually taken place, and that we knew this because Alfred Kinsey’s infamous 1950s Kinsey Reports had revealed definitively that Americans of all classes were engaging in every imaginable type of sexual behavior. Virtually no one was faithful to his or her spouse, homosexual relationships were common, and even bestiality was supposedly frequent. And this is still the history that is being taught without question, even though, as I’ve written before, Alfred Kinsey’s reports have been thoroughly debunked, and he has been discredited as guilty of everything from enabling horrifying acts of pedophilia to intentionally trying to disprove Christian sexual ethics. Those still lustily engaged in celebrating the aged and disease-ridden Revolution of the ‘60s, however, have much to lose in the dissemination of this disturbing set of historical facts.

So too with anthropologist Margaret Mead and her famous 1928 Coming of Age in Samoa, a book that exploded into Western consciousness by revealing that other cultures rejected traditionalist codes of sexual behavior, and were thriving as the result. The most highly circulated anthropology book every written and required reading in Western universities everywhere, it was later proven to be badly researched and even fraudulent. In fact, Mead’s sources revealed to a professor who followed up on her claims years later that their titillating tall tales had merely been a practical joke. Yet, you won’t find Mead’s work critically examined in most universities—and her work still undergirds much of our society’s attitudes towards so-called sexual liberation.

The web of deceit continued with abortion. Dr. Bernard Nathanson, a doctor who helped found the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (now known as NARAL) with prominent feminist leaders such as Betty Friedan, was a key voice in pushing for the largest abortion clinic in the world in New York state. After becoming pro-life as the result of advances in the field of foetology, he revealed in a series of memoirs that the numbers of back-alley abortions used by NARAL and the abortion movement to argue in favor of legalizing abortion were, to put it bluntly, made up. This is corroborated by the fact that no reputable historical source can provide us with any evidence of the staggering numbers of illegal abortions that the pro-choice establishment still claims happened to this day. I still meet dozens of people on university campuses who make the argument that abortion will not decrease if made illegal. And why? Because they’ve never been taught any factual history, just the fictitious narrative created for public consumption.

And these are just three staggering examples among hundreds. Our cultural elites - the media, Hollywood, academia, and even much of the political establishment - are too invested in the horrifying experiment that is the Sexual Revolution to examine the history of this revolution or its tragic outcomes honestly. And thus, we face a constant barrage of “progressive” celebrations. Documentaries and films and conferences celebrate Kinsey, Mead, and flocks of feminists who championed abortion-on-demand. Our history is not our own. The history taught in virtually all of our public institutions is, in reality, an ideology.

The Sexual Revolutionaries didn’t just throw out the book. They rewrote it, because that’s what revolutionaries always do. This struck me vividly a few months back when I was traveling in China, and our tour guide Anna was taking my friend and I from the Forbidden Palace to Tiananmen Square to Mao Tse-Tung’s Mausoleum, where the dead dictator still lies in state in a glass-covered coffin. After listening to Anna praise Mao for hours, I asked her how she could possibly believe he was good for China when, by some estimates, he presided over the deaths of nearly seventy million people. First, she was irritated, and then, agitated. After informing me that Mao was a great leader, she ended our discussion by announcing, “Denying Mao would be like denying Communist Party!” And with that, historical truth was placed firmly in the backseat to ideological obligation.

In order to understand the sex-driven lunacy and carnage that has gripped our culture on virtually every front, we have to put history back in the front seat. We have to honestly analyze and understand how we reached this point, so that we can begin to realize what we can do—not to return, but to rebuild. To equip our children and the upcoming generation with the truth of what has actually taken place, and why it is that we believe what we believe.

This is precisely what Ted Byfield, now in his eighties, told me when I asked him what young people could do to begin the process of cultural renewal. Read history, he told me urgently. People will be stunned to find out what actually happened—“they will be astonished at the things we’ve done in [the last] century that made no sense at all. What should be emphasized in your generation is to find out what happened. In other words, read history.”

And when you do, things finally start to make more sense.

Real people are being hurt by the left’s New Witch Hunt, and they don’t care

The eventful year of 2016 is over, and as the holiday season approaches and busy schedules perhaps allow a bit more time for some reading, I have an urgent recommendation for you: Get your hands on Mary Eberstadt’s short but powerful book It’s Dangerous to Believe: Religious Freedom and Its Enemies. It’s only 126 pages long—I read it in a few hours—but it lays out succinctly and with beautiful clarity what she calls the battle of the creeds, the war between the Sexual Revolution and traditionalist Christianity that has been waged with increasing sound and fury since the advent of the Pill.

When Eberstadt refers to the targeting of “Christians,” she is of course referring to traditionalist Christians—those who still hold to the two-thousand-year-old teachings on sexuality that Christians have always believed.

This is a distinction that is now necessary. The Sexual Revolution has managed to generate a contingent of religious quislings, “progressive” Christians who have more or less abolished notions of sexual sin but magnanimously want to keep a messiah around to forgive their neighbors of the sins of homophobia and judgementalism. But these Christians are a very new breed. This new “progressive” Christianity is not only less than a century old, but already shrinking—a recent report noted that it is conservative churches that are growing while liberal churches continue to empty out, putting a bit of irony in the claims of so-called progressive Christians that they are “on the right side of history.”

It is worth noting, for a moment, that if Christians with the traditionalist view of sexuality were placed on one side of a scale, and progressive Christians were plopped on the other side, the sheer lopsidedness of the scene would be rather hilarious. On one side, we have everyone from St. Paul to the great Christian martyrs, from Tolkien, Chesterton, and Lewis, to Jonathan Edwards, Augustine of Hippo, and even the liberal Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. On the other side, we have a handful of so-called progressive Christian intellectuals—and who can name any? —who have abandoned two thousand years of Christian teaching, announcing with staggering arrogance that everyone else was wrong. When the weight of history is dropped onto the scales, it lands on the traditionalist side with such force that such progressives are flung into the stratosphere.

But secular progressives and their post-Christian cronies have made such advances because the position of religion in society has been weakened so much in the first place. So-called progressive Christians are really just hybrid heretics, as they do not see themselves as abandoning Christianity, but rather attempting to reconcile our culture’s two warring creeds. To announce loud support for gay unions, the transgender agenda, abortion, and the other secular sacraments while attempting to twist into a theological pretzel that allows one to claim that such beliefs are actually an expression of “Christian love” may seem to be a solution to the problem of “picking a side,” but in reality it makes a mockery of everything Christianity has ever stood for and a fool of the one attempting this oil-and-water cocktail. This is why we often see “progressive” Christians turning on their supposed co-religionists with such fervor—they are virtue-signalling to their secular comrades, and displaying the fierce eagerness that collaborators so often do.

In Eberstadt’s view, there were two main events in recent history that weakened the standing of religion in society: The Catholic priest child abuse scandals and subsequent cover-ups, which dramatically decreased people’s trust in “organized religion,” and 9/11, which made many people feel as if religion was a dangerous and toxic set of beliefs that could, after all, inspire men to fly planes into buildings. The growing creed of secular progressivism responded with its own apostles in the form of the New Atheism movement, led by the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse”—Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and Daniel Dennett. What was new about this atheist movement, it turns out, is that it sounded rather familiar—the child abuse scandal gave the evangelists of New Atheism fodder for all the moral fury and righteous indignation they needed for an anti-religion crusade. The New Atheists, with no sense of irony, began a moral panic: Religion poisons everything. (One of my friends and I used to joke that Hitchens did in fact believe in objective morality, he was simply offended that it predated him.)

This segued nicely into the ongoing demonization of Christians by the sexual revolutionaries. Christians were “homophobes,” “transphobes,” “bigots,” and “haters.” Consider for a moment, Eberstadt pleads with the reader, just how repulsive and ugly it is that millions of people are being convicted by smear campaigns of being hateful without evidence—their Christian beliefs alone are the only proof necessary to prove that they have hate in their heart. Hate, when detached from what any person actually feels, simply becomes a meaningless word. Eberstadt lays out, in careful detail, the absurd but stunning parallels between the ongoing stigmatization of Christians and the witch-hunts of 1600s Massachusetts. Secular progressivism, she reiterates, is a form of religion—and it sees the Christian view of sexuality as an original sin.

In other words, it is not that secular progressives don’t believe in the Devil. It’s just that they believe he happens to be a Christian. It’s not that they don’t believe in saints and sinners, it’s that in their creed, saints and sinners have swapped places: An athlete announcing his homosexuality can get a congratulatory call from the President of the United States, while a pastor renowned for his work combatting human trafficking can be forced to withdraw from offering a prayer at that same president’s inauguration as the result of a smear campaign targeting him for his Christian position on marriage.

Some may find the word “persecution” to be too strong a word to use in describing what is going on today in the West, and Eberstadt recognizes that. She does, however, detail very carefully the type of targeting that is going on: People losing their jobs, losing their businesses, being ostracized in social settings, refused admittance to universities, and finding their right to educate their own children under attack. Secular progressives are even targeting home-schooling while insinuating that Christian parents are a danger to their own children by virtue of the beliefs they teach. This fundamental right—the right of parents to pass their beliefs on to their children—is where most Christians, even those who simply wish to be left in peace, will finally draw the line and join the culture war.

Additionally, Eberstadt lays out the horrors of real, physical persecution that are being inflicted on Christians in Iraq—and asks, pointedly, why our secular progressive leaders do not seem to care. Indeed, there seems to be a backlash against the mere suggestion that Iraqi Christians, who like the Yazidis are often targeted for persecution by both ISIS and Muslims in the refugee camps, be prioritized because they are in the greatest danger. The reason vicious persecution the world round is ignored and escapes mention, while Barack Obama uses National Prayer Breakfasts to berate Christian leaders for historic sins, Eberstadt posits, is because those being persecuted are Christian, and secular progressives have no sympathy for Christians.

In the creed of the secular progressives, everything hinges on sex. Christians can believe, without controversy, that stealing, murder (except for abortion and euthanasia), lying, and swearing are wrong. If sex enters the picture, however, suddenly everything changes. It is for this reason that secular progressives are willing to hurt thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of poor and needy men, women, and children in order to inflict damage on Christian charities that do not agree with them that two men have the right to raise a child simply because they want to. Eberstadt records one heartbroken adoption worker noting that once the Catholic foster system and adoption services were “sued out of existence,” who would take care of the children? The progressive heresy hunters, of course, would have already carried their torches and pitchforks over to the next guilty charity and begun their shrieking anew. The message to Christian charities, lauded for decades even by secular sources for their sterling work with needy children and their mission to serve the poor, is simple: Change your beliefs on sex, or we’ll shut you down. Just as we see with abortion and so many of the other secular sacraments, children can always be sacrificed in the name of sex.

It is worth noting, as Eberstadt does, that this is not a theoretical question. Real people and real children are being hurt badly by this war against Christian charities, carried out by fanatics who would rather deny people life-saving services than agree to disagree on moral beliefs. If Christians are forced out of charity, much of the charitable system will implode, especially since religious people are far more likely to give to charity than secular people are. For example, people who pray every day are 30% more likely to give to a charity than people who do not pray, people who devote time to a spiritual life are 42% more likely to give to charity than those who do not, and interestingly, “people who say that ‘beliefs don’t matter as long as you’re a good person’ are dramatically less likely to give charitably (69% to 86%) and to volunteer (32% to 51%) than people who think that beliefs do matter.” Eberstadt’s chapter detailing the attack on Christian charities, titled “Inquisitors vs. good Works,” makes her book worth reading all by itself.

Eberstadt’s conclusion is a plea for common ground. Feminists and Christians, she points out, have found themselves fighting side by side on issues like pornography, surrogacy, and the objectification of women. It is possible for us to ascribe to the other the best possible motivation, while still disagreeing in the strongest possible terms. But for this to happen, says Eberstadt, the secular progressives must shut down their witch-hunt. They have to halt their demonization of Christians, cease their storming of Christian charities, and stop their attacks on Christian education. “Is the suppression of independent thought,” she asks, “really going to be progressivism’s historical signature?”

It certainly appears that way.

Benham brothers blast LGBT ‘bully mafia’ waging ‘witch hunt’ against Christian HGTV stars

Chip and Joanna Gaines of the popular HGTV show Fixer Upper are a "wonderful family" and "don't hate anybody," David and Jason Benham said in a video supporting them. The Gaines couple is under fire after a Buzzfeed report on their pastor's belief that marriage is between a man and a woman wondered if Chip and Joanna believe the same thing.

The Benham brothers, who lost their HGTV show over their pro-life and pro-marriage beliefs, said the "bully mafia agenda" attacking the Gaines couple is trying to "bully this family into submission to force belief upon them."

"Chip and Joanna are a wonderful family, and Chip and Joanna are believers in Jesus Christ," said David Benham. "They’re not anti-anything. They’re pro-God. They’re pro-Bible. They’re pro-people. They’re pro-Jesus...what’s happening right now is a witch hunt."

The Benham brothers encouraged those who support Chip and Joanna to "buy their products" and express support for the couple on their Facebook page.

"This isn’t HGTV’s fault," said Jason Benham. "They’re getting pushed into this and bullied into this and we know what those conversations are like when HG has to call and say, 'hey Chip, Joanna, we got a problem. Cosmo and Buzzfeed are coming at you guys.'"

The Benham brothers said that when they were filming their show's first set of episodes, Chip and Joanna were filming Fixer Upper's first set of episodes. Jason said the very first supportive phone call the brothers received after they were fired was from Chip.

David Benham expressed hope that this would be resolved the same way controversy over a Duck Dynasty star's alleged "homophobic comments" was. Millions of Americans stood by the show, which remains on the air.

"We pray that millions of Americans would stick behind Chip and Joanna Gaines and support their right to believe and exercise their beliefs, which are held by millions of Americans across this country," David Benham concluded.

Al Franken’s attempt to embarrass Focus on the Family fails

During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing yesterday for the incredibly named “Respect for Marriage Act” - the measure to repeal DOMA - Democrat Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota attempted to make a fool of Focus on the Family’s Tom Minnery for asserting that children in traditional households do much better in several respects than those in nontraditional households.

Minnery had used data from a comprehensive, national HHS study to make the point that the traditional family model actually works pretty well, and that things tend to get screwed up majorly whenever it’s tampered with. The senator and former comedian took issue with this, and offered a logical parry destined to send LGBT blogs and media outlets into raptures.

“I— checked the study out,” said Franken, shrugging, as a titter of laughter was heard in the room. “And it actually doesn’t say what you said it says.”

The study, as Franken notes, defines a “nuclear family” as consisting of “one or more children living with two parents who are married to one another and are each biological or adoptive parents to all children in the family.”

“Isn’t it true, Mr. Minnery, that a married same-sex couple that has had or adopted kids would fall under the definition of a family in the study that you cite?” Franken questioned. “I frankly don’t really know how we can trust the rest of your testimony, if you are reading studies these ways.”

Only Franken seems to have forgotten that as of 2007, the end date of the study’s data, there was only one state in the union with gay “marriage.” According to UCLA’s William Institute, Massachusetts in 2008 had 13,285 homosexual “marriages.” This would put the 2007 national total at even less - let’s say 13,000.

Meanwhile, there were around 59 million total married households in America at the same time, putting same-sex “marriage” households at 0.0002% of all the “nuclear households” theoretically considered by the HHS study.

Minnery’s point, that a traditional household shouldn’t be messed with, is decidedly not debunked by calling foul over a two ten-thousandths technicality. The real question is whether Congress will swallow the push to slap a band-aid labeled “marriage” on yet another such experiment.

Abby Johnson #fundie lifesitenews.com

I WAS WILLING TO GO TO HELL FOR LEGAL ABORTION...AND THEN I SAW ONE.

Every day, I took the same route to my house from the Planned Parenthood facility I managed. The marshals that came to provide “safety training” for us once a year recommended we change up our route home. They came to warn us about how dangerous the pro-lifers were outside our facility. Ha. “You never want to take the same route home. Always change it up. You never know when one of them could be following you,” they said.

I wasn’t too worried about the pro-lifers outsidemy facility. I knew them. They knew me. They were always offering me help and seemed to genuinely care about me. That was annoying. It was basically impossible to hate people who were so nice to me, even though I had been taught to hate them by all of my supervisors. On September 26, I had seen something that had shaken me to the core. I had watched a 13 week old baby die by abortion. I watched him struggle for his life. I saw it right in front of my face on an ultrasound monitor. I was numb, shocked, horrified—and quite honestly, I felt so stupid. How could I have fallen for the lies of this organization? How could I have let it happen for eight years?

On October 4, I sat in my living room, held my daughter and wondered. Did I have the guts to admit that I had been wrong for so many years? Did I have the courage to admit that I was a liar? I hate liars—and I realized that I had been the biggest one I knew. Could I walk away from my friends? Could I walk away from my huge salary and promise of promotion?

That Sunday afternoon, I didn’t know. I didn’t want to leave. I didn’t want to be uncomfortable. But I just couldn’t justify what I had seen. I knew I couldn’t rationalize my behavior, my life.

For several years, I had asked myself a question: “If I died, would I go to heaven or hell?” I remember thinking that I would probably go to hell for my active and proud participation in abortion. And somehow, I had convinced myself that was okay—that I was willing to spend an eternity in hell in order to provide abortions.

But on October 5, I sat in my office and asked that same question. This time, my answer was different. No, I was not willing to possibly spend an eternity in hell so that women could continue to take the lives of their children. No, I would no longer be an accomplice to this brutality. But where would I go? Would these pro-lifers really accept me? I mean, they always said they would, but how could I believe that? How could they just accept me—knowing my past? How could they forgive me for how I had treated them for so many years? I didn’t know what their reaction would be, but I knew I had to take that chance.

So, I took a left instead of a right out of our parking lot. I drove to their office. I spilled my guts. I admitted that yes, I had been wrong—so wrong.

And they forgave me. They didn’t start listing off the faults of my past. They didn’t make me grovel or give an apology. They just forgave.

I remember after my story hit the national news, a reporter had called and asked to talk to one of the staff members from the pro-life office where I had turned for help. This reporter wanted the scoop. How bad was I when I worked in Planned Parenthood? What were some of the terrible things I had done to them out on the sidewalk?

I was waiting for all of my embarrassing, dirty laundry to be aired when she answered his questions. But instead, this is what I heard from her. “I don’t even know that person anymore. Abby is a new creation in Christ and that’s the Abby I want to talk about.”

I had never known love like that from a friend. And now I had it—from a woman that I had only met three weeks earlier—from a woman who I had cursed and yelled at—from a woman who had seen the very worst side of me. But here she was, offering me this gift of forgiveness. Certainly it was a gift that I didn’t deserve from her. But there it was, no strings attached. I often think about that moment and realize that is probably the closest thing to Christ’s forgiveness that I will ever experience here on earth. The slate was wiped clean.

Can you love people into truth? Absolutely. I think the better question is: are you willing to? Are you willing to look past their sin and see the creation that God made? Are you willing to reach out with mercy and love instead of anger and condemnation? Are you willing to just meet people where they are and care for them no matter how far they are from where you want them to be? Can we attempt to love like God loves?

It always makes me laugh when I tell people how many abortion clinic workers have left their facilities through my ministry, And Then There Were None. They are so shocked! They can’t believe 128 people have come to us in the past two years. Who knew these people could have such a profound change of heart? We pray for this to happen, and then when it does, we are surprised!

Friends, these workers are leaving the abortion industry because they are finally able to see that there is real help for them. They don’t leave because people have told them that they are “baby killers.” They certainly don’t leave because someone tells them they will “burn in hell” for working in the industry. They leave because we are now able to give them help and healing. They leave because they want something better for themselves. They leave because we are finally helping them see that we do genuinely care about them.

We always need to remember that these workers are not our enemy. Abortionists are not the enemy. Our enemy is sin. No matter how rude they are to us, no matter how much they ignore us, no matter how many times they tell us to “get a job” or something similar—they WILL eventually leave. But that will only happen if we BE Christ to them. We don’t have to preach to them. I remember hearing one time that “God is a gentleman.” God will not force Himself on someone, and we shouldn’t either.

Pray. Be kind. Love them. And if you don’t think you can love them, then stay away from them. The only thing that will keep an abortion worker in the industry longer is a pro-lifer who condemns them.

What if you were the reason an abortion worker took a left instead of a right? You can be. I thank God every day of my life for the people who made me “change my route.”
