On today’s edition of “The 700 Club,” Pat Robertson attempted to explain the difference between passages on war and killing in the Bible and the Quran. Robertson, who regularly cites Qur’anic verses as proof that Islam is an inherently violent and genocidal religion, said the main difference is that God commanded the mass killings found in the Bible in order to curb the corrupting influences of idol-worshipers, while violent acts in the Quran were ordered by Allah. “How can you say it’s not like the other? The other is in the name of Allah,” he reasoned. -

Today on “The 700 Club,” a viewer asked host Pat Robertson what she should say to a coworker who asked her, “Why did God allow my baby to die?”

He responded that it is possible that the coworker’s three-year-old child died as a result of human error at the hospital: “Are you going to blame that on God? That’s not God, that’s people who are making mistakes.”

Robertson, who once said at a faith healing that God could bring a dead baby back to life, continued that perhaps the child would have turned out to be the next Adolf Hitler, and therefore it is better that the woman’s child is in Heaven rather than becoming a murderer.

“As far as God’s concerned, he knows the end from the beginning and He sees a little baby and that little baby could grow up to be Adolf Hitler, he could grow up to be Joseph Stalin, he could grow up to be some serial killer, or he could grow up to die of a hideous disease,” Robertson said. “God sees all of that, and for that life to be terminated while he’s a baby, he’s going to be with God forever in Heaven so it isn’t a bad thing.”

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - In what has become an annual tradition of prognostications, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson predicted Tuesday that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in "mass killing" late in 2007.

"I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be nuclear," he said during his news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network. "The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that."

Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.

Robertson said God also told him that the U.S. only feigns friendship with Israel and that U.S. policies are pushing Israel toward "national suicide."

Robertson suggested in January 2006 that God punished then-Israeli Prime Minister
Ariel Sharon with a stroke for ceding Israeli-controlled land to the Palestinians.

The broadcaster predicted in January 2004 that
President Bush would easily win re-election. Bush won 51 percent of the vote that fall, beating Democratic Sen.
John Kerry of Massachusetts. He also predicted Bush's victory for a second term in 2005.

"I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."

In May, Robertson said God told him that storms and possibly a tsunami were to crash into America's coastline in 2006. Even though the U.S. was not hit with a tsunami, Robertson on Tuesday cited last spring's heavy rains and flooding in New England as partly fulfilling the prediction.

After airing a story about gender transition on “The 700 Club” today, televangelist Pat Robertson declared that the transgender movement is “a satanic move to keep people from having children.”

“The devil has found a new way to keep people from bearing young in the image of God,” Robertson said. “To think that these people will then be neutered, they will not be able to be married, to have successful families, they won’t have children to look after them in their old age. I mean, they are throwing away their whole future on this nonsense that comes about in this politically correct environment.”

We have no idea where Robertson is getting the absurd notion that transgender people cannot get married, have children, and build “successful families.”

“We cannot allow this to happen in our country, ladies and gentlemen,” he added. “It is an attack of the enemy against human beings. God says, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and subdue the earth and possess it.’ Be fruitful and multiply. But the devil says, ‘Oh no, you are creating boys and girls, young babies in the image of God and we won’t permit that.’ So we are just a bunch of suckers buying into a lie.”

On the morning after the tragedy in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, The 700 Club's Pat Robertson placed the blame for the shooting at the Sikh Temple on atheists and those who "hate God."

"...people who are atheists, they hate God, they hate the expression of God, and they are angry at the world, angry with themselves, angry with society and they take it out on innocent people who are worshipping God..."

On Thursday’s edition of “The 700 Club,” televangelist and former GOP presidential candidate Pat Robertson expressed his concern over the way that “the girl-on-girl movies” are supposedly influencing young people to pursue homosexual relationships. When a viewer called in for Robertson’s advice about how best to deal with news that her 21-year-old daughter had begun dating a woman, the host offered some words of wisdom about LGBT millennials.

“I think she needs somebody to help her get her identity straight,” Robertson said. “She may not be right in this, she may have thought she has a crush on some older girl along the way and she’s actually homosexual when she’s not, I don’t know. The whole question of sexual identity has gotten so blurred in the press these days it’s hard to know. Why is she that way? Was she molested when she was younger?”

Robertson’s co-host, Terry Meeuwsen, went on to suggest that the problem is people “telling kids to explore, it’s crazy,” at which point Robertson weighed in once more. “The girl-on-girl movies,” he said. “More and more they’re getting straight actresses to play lesbians and straight men to play homosexuals — and if you say anything against homosexuality, you are just hooted out of court.”

Robertson concluded with some direct advice for his distraught viewer. “You need to love your daughter and give her a chance to work this out,” he said. “If she gets deeper and deeper in it, sooner or later she is going to be disillusioned and say, ‘this is wrong, I want to come out of it.’”

In his first appearance since his retirement from hosting the 700 Club last year, Pat Robertson took a moment to give his thoughts on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and its roll in bringing about the End Times.

“I think you can say that Putin’s out of his mind — yes, maybe so, but at the same time he’s being compelled by God. He went into the Ukraine, but that wasn’t his goal. His goal was to move against Israel, ultimately,” Robertson said, adding that “God is getting ready to do something amazing, and that will be fulfilled.”

“Is Putin crazy? Is he mad? Well, perhaps,” Robertson said later in the segment. “But God says, ‘I’m going to put hooks in your jaws and I’m gonna draw you into this battle whether you like it or not. And [Putin’s] being compelled after the move into Ukraine.”

“Watch what’s going to happen next,” Robertson warned. “You read your bible because it’s coming to pass.”

Halloween: The day when kids dress up, get candy, and worship Satan.

Or at least that’s what Pat Robertson thinks they do.

In response to a question from a viewer worried about her son attending a haunted house that includes a “demon DJ” who “encourages people to dance,” Robertson warned her to stop her son before it was too late.

— Explain to him who the Devil is. Explain to him the Devil wants to destroy you. The Devil, you know, seeks who he may devour. He’s out to kill you. And he’s gonna put everything nice in your way that’s gonna seem like fun — there’s pleasure and sin for a season — but the answer is, mother, don’t let your babies grow up to be demon-worshippers, if I can quote from Willie Nelson. Don’t let him do it.

— There needs to be alternative Halloween celebrations in churches, where they have all the games, and all the fun, and all the nice, pretty girls, and all the handsome boys— and they’re praising the Lord instead of worshiping Satan.

Halloween has become a night when the devil rejoices

What Is Demon Possession?

Demon possession is the seizure of a human being by a demonic being to such a degree that the individual is controlled in whole or in part by the demon (see Matthew 8:28-32, Mark 1:23-27, Mark 7:24-30, Luke 9:37-42).

The person who is demon possessed can manifest demonic qualities one minute and then be back in his right mind the next. The disease known as schizophrenia could, in certain individuals, be demon possession. This could be the case in instances where the person may speak in different voices and act in bizarre ways. One minute he could be a nice, calm, normal individual, and the next minute he could rage, foam at the mouth, and speak in an entirely different voice, blaspheming God.

In certain instances, demon-possessed individuals hear voices--voices that tell them to kill somebody, commit suicide, or undertake various kind of sins. Such people may have an uncontrollable lust. They may have an uncontrollable desire to have harm done to themselves. Masochism and sadism and other perverted sex practices are, in many instances, the result of demon possession.

Demon possession can be manifested in many ways. But the goal of demons is to debase, defile, and ultimately destroy a human being who is made in the image of God. That is what Satan wants to do: Attack God by destroying people who are precious in God's sight. However, people who serve Satan--the satanists and devil worshipers--will eventually be destroyed by that which they worship.

It is interesting to note that those who volunteer to serve Satan--the fortunetellers, spiritists, witches, warlocks, and satanists--are themselves consumed by Satan. Not only will they share Satan's ultimate punishment by God, but they will be tormented and debased by Satan himself prior to final judgment.

Dianne: "My son heard sounds that sent painful shock-waves thru his body as I was praying for him and I called on the name of JESUS. My son said it felt like something hit him very hard in the stomach. I know this is not of God. He is a Christian. Can Christians be attacked by demons?"

Pat: "He can be attacked by demons and he might be oppressed or possessed by demons. I don't know anything about you, I don't know his faith, but it sounds like that child has something in the influence. You need to get somebody with you who understands the spiritual dimension and doing spiritual warfare, but you don't want some quack in there that's casting out non-existent demons, but, at the same time, if I were to look back at your family. What in your family: do you have anybody involved in the occult, witchcraft or tarot cards or psychic things? Has there something been there that you don't know about? Some grandparent, great grandparent or something. Look into the family tree, and then get some people in there and cast this stuff out. But that does not sound like normal."

“I think you got to remember from the Bible, if you look carefully at the Bible what would have happened in Jesus’ time if two men decided they wanted to cohabit together, they would have been stoned to death,” Robertson said. “So Jesus would not have baked them a wedding cake nor would he have made them a bed to sleep in because they wouldn’t have been there. But we don’t have that in this country here so that’s the way it is.” (Robertson’s claim that Jesus would never have encountered a same-sex couple is a matter of debate.)

Robertson added: “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have to recognize what I said a few years ago, at that point homosexual marriage was condemned, homosexuality itself was considered a pathology and now those that are practicing that activity have turned and become the oppressors of those who hold deeply-held religious points of view, the tables have turned.”

“What is it about gays? What is it about abortion? Have you ever thought why they’re on the forefront right now? Both of them deny the reproduction of human species,” Robertson said, adding that homosexuality is “a meaningless exercise because it doesn’t go anywhere.”

“The Devil is trying to say, ‘I’m going to destroy your progeny any way I can. If you will kill your babies, that’s fine, I’m with you; if you will deny the chance of having babies, that’s fine too; but I want to destroy your opportunities to reproduce,’” he said. “It’s a very serious thing and we’re not talking about it, and we need to as a society, we have to realize where the attack is coming because it is definitely an attack.”

Co-host Wendy Griffith agreed: “The Devil wants to steal, kill and destroy. Well said Pat.”

No, seriously, the Bible does talk about scarring and marring of the body and cutting the body. These are pagan customs, and the Bible condemns it. All these scars, you look in pagan cultures, they cut themselves. They leave great scars in their bodies. And usually it was a scarring to indicate their allegiance to some pagan deity. So that’s what tattoos are all about. Plus the fact, they’re ugly.

Why Hundus and Muslims Cannot Govern

If anybody understood what Hindus really believe, there would be no doubt that they have no business administering government policies in a country that favors freedom and equality.... Can you imagine having the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini as defense minister, or Mahatma Gandhi as minister of health, education, and welfare? The Hindu and Buddhist idea of karma and the Muslim idea of kismet, or fate condemn the poor and the disabled to their suffering.... It's the will of Allah. These beliefs are nothing but abject fatalism, and they would devastate the social gains this nation has made if they were ever put into practice.

While responding to a question from a woman who wondered if it was wrong for the church not to inform her that a man she was driving to worship services is “dying of AIDS,” Robertson admitted that he “used to think it was transmitted by saliva and other things, now they say it may be sexual contact.”

“What to say if you’re driving an elderly man whose got AIDS? Don’t have sex with them,” Robertson said, “unless there’s a cut or some bodily fluid transmission, I think you’re not going to catch it.”

But Robertson didn’t stop there.

“There are laws now, I think the homosexual community has put these draconian laws on the books that prohibit people from discussing this particular affliction, you can tell somebody you had a heart attack, you can tell them they’ve got high blood pressure, but you can’t tell anybody you’ve got AIDS,” he continued.

Despite Meeuwsen’s best attempts to steer the conversation away from Robertson’s anti-gay paranoia, Robertson insisted that gay people use special rings to transmit the virus.

“You know what they do in San Francisco, some in the gay community there they want to get people so if they got the stuff they’ll have a ring, you shake hands, and the ring’s got a little thing where you cut your finger,” Robertson said. “Really. Robertson received an email from a woman who claimed that her grandson disrespects their Christian faith when they visit their daughter on Christmas and chose not to visit this past year.

“We declined going to our daughter’s house on Christmas this year because there is always an argument, hard feelings etc.,” viewer Karen wrote.

“One grandchild comes high on marijuana, cursing and challenging our faith. I correct him and have told my daughter to ask him to respect our beliefs, but he keeps it up. Robertson: Our bodies are amazingly resilient and they can throw off a small infection, something comes up and the body has mechanisms to deal with it and the body closes in on the invader and kills it and the body stays strong. But there comes a time if the infection is allowed to spread, and it will spread rapidly when the invader overtakes the healthy body, at which point there is sickness and then ultimately death.

No society should allow some alien body to come to its midst that preaches terror, preaches overthrow, preaches violence and preaches another form of government. We shouldn’t have that.

Now, that’s what is being allowed in Belgium and France and other parts of Europe in the name of political correctness. And the so-called socialist liberals think, ‘I want to be open and I want to be welcoming to these people who come in.’ Okay, a few of them, fine, assimilate into the society, learn the language, learn the customs and be Belgians. But these people are not. They’re keeping on with their Islamic customs, Islamic dress, they’re speaking Arabic and they’re in the middle of Belgium and they’re growing and metastasizing and it won’t be long before they overwhelm the healthy body. Here in America and other places, we can only stand so much infection before it overwhelms us.

Meeuwsen: But once you’ve allowed that to occur and roots have gone down into a city or a region, is it too late to change that?

Robertson: Not really, but it’s going to take violence. They’ve got to move in with the police dragnets.

Meeuwsen: Do you think they have the stomach for that?

Robertson: Well, no. That’s the problem. You don’t want to, you know, it seems like you’re violating people’s civil rights, you don’t want to take away their liberty and violate the thing you are, but people have got to stand up and recognize the threat and if they don’t do it the society’s doomed. That’s what’s happening. All of our shows are showing, I mean our reporters are showing that Europe is doomed. Doomed! Because they refuse to acknowledge the existence of a pathogen in their midst, an infection, that has come in, and that’s what radical Islam is, it’s an infection. And we have a president here in America who refuses to name it, refuses to identify it and refuses to give us what’s needed to kill the infection. As a matter of fact, he wants to take more of them and bring them into the country.

Meeuwsen: Crazy.

Robertson: It’s crazy.

Meeuwsen: And in doing so we lose our own rights.

My husband and I are in our 80s and have been tithing for many years. We both love the Lord and give willingly and our tithe is over 10 percent—but we never have an extra penny after our monthly bills are paid. Our old car just broke down and we had to borrow money to fix it. We both need dental work, but we can’t afford it. I constantly have to use our credit card to pay for medical needs— What could we be doing wrong?

In response, Robertson suggested they sell their belongings on eBay or go back to work. He also told them that God would grant them a blessing if they asked for one. The one thing he didn’t tell them is to give a little less of their income to church so that they can take care of themselves.

“There are many ways of making money, even at 80-years-old,” Robertson said.

During his show on Wednesday, Robertson read a letter from a concerned mother who wondered if her son’s mental illness was “God’s punishment” because she had an Ouija board in her house when he was young. Robertson replied that it’s possible because she invited demons into her home with the game, like a women he once heard of who watched porn and became possessed:

“I don’t know if God’s punishing you, but you can open the door to demons. There was one lady I heard about who was demon possessed, the demon was being cast out and the demon said, ‘I had permission.’ And permission was that this particular person had gone to a x-rated movie and had gotten all these sex things—.so you gave the demon permission to come into your home when you had the Ouija board.”

Well, the other thing I felt was that evil men, evil people, are going to try to do evil things to us and to others during the last part of this year. I don’t know whether it’ll be in the fall or September or later on, but it’ll be the second half, somehow, of 2007. There will be some very serious terrorist attacks. The evil people will come after this country. And there’s a possibility that—not a possibly, a definite certainty that chaos is going to rule, and the Lord said that the politicians will not have any solutions for it. There’s just going to be chaos. And, of course, we saw chaos in the Gulf after Katrina. The politicians had no answers—. It’s going to happen. And I’m not saying necessarily nuclear. The Lord didn’t say “nuclear,” but I do believe it’ll be something like that that’ll be a mass killing, possibly millions of people, major cities injured.
