INT: The White House. PAULA WHITE is addressing a crowd. President DONALD TRUMP is standing behind her.

PAULA WHITE: Jesus taught us so many lesson through His death, burial and resurrection. He showed us great leadership. Great transformation requires great sacrifice. And Mr President, no-one has paid the price like you have paid the price. It almost cost you your life. You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused. It’s a familiar pattern that our Lord and Saviour showed us. But it didn’t end there for Him, and it didn’t end there for you. God always had a plan. And on the third day, he rose. He defeated evil. He conquered death, hell and the grave. And because He rose, we all know that we can rise. And Sir, because of His resurrection, you rose up. Because He was victorious, you were victorious. And I believe that the Lord said to tell you this, that because of His victory, you will be victorious in all you put your hand to.

(The AUDIENCE claps and President TRUMP nods his head, attempting to look humbly blessed)

All of those countries that can’t get jet fuel because of the Strait of Hormuz, like the United Kingdom, which refused to get involved in the decapitation of Iran, I have a suggestion for you: Number 1, buy from the U.S., we have plenty, and Number 2, build up some delayed courage, go to the Strait, and just TAKE IT. You’ll have to start learning how to fight for yourself, the U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore, just like you weren’t there for us. Iran has been, essentially, decimated. The hard part is done. Go get your own oil! President DJT

President Trump is prioritizing taking control of the Strait of Hormuz as he grows frustrated with the lack of help from allies to force open the crucial waterway. And once Trump ends Iran’s reign of terror over the shipping route, he’s considering rechristening it the “Strait of America” or even naming it after himself, sources told The Post.

[…]

“Why don’t we call it, you know, the Strait of America?”

Trump told a Saudi investor forum Friday evening in Miami that he might decide to call the Strait after himself, rather than America.

“They have to open up the Strait of Trump — I mean Hormuz,” Trump said.

“Excuse me, I’m so sorry. Such a terrible mistake. The Fake News will say, ‘He accidentally said.’ No, there’s no accidents with me, not too many.”

U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday threatened to "obliterate" Iran's power plants if Tehran does not fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, a significant escalation barely a day after he talked about "winding down" the war.

"If Iran doesn't FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from ‌this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!" Trump said on social media.

President Donald Trump on Thursday blamed “the genetics” of assailants in a string of recent attacks across the country. He made the comments after attacks at a university in Virginia and a synagogue in Michigan and nearly a week after an improvised explosive was thrown outside Gracie Mansion in New York City

"They’re sick people, and a lot of them were let in here. They shouldn’t have been let in. Others are just bad. They go bad. Something wrong — there’s something wrong there. The genetics are not exactly, they’re not exactly your genetic," Trump told Fox News Radio's Brian Kilmeade in an interview released Friday. "It’s one of those problems, Brian. It’s a, it’s a terrible thing, and it happens"

Earlier in the interview, Trump called the assailants "sick" and "really demented" people, pointing to U.S. immigration policy under former presidents as the reason they were present in the U.S.

"They came in a lot through Biden, and they came in through other presidents, frankly, and it’s a, it’s a disgrace," the president said

Many Countries, especially those who are affected by Iran’s attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe. We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s Military capability, but it’s easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close range missile somewhere along, or in, this Waterway, no matter how badly defeated they are. Hopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send Ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a Nation that has been totally decapitated. In the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water. One way or the other, we will soon get the Hormuz Strait OPEN, SAFE, and FREE!.

President Donald Trump deleted a racist video on his social media account that depicted former President and first lady Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys, following criticism from a bipartisan group of members of Congress

“Praying it was fake because it’s the most racist thing I’ve seen out of this White House,” Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) wrote on X on Friday morning, before the post was deleted. “The President should remove it”

The post, a minutelong video rife with conspiracy theories about voting machines in the 2020 election, cuts to a short clip of the Obamas in monkey form, dancing to the tune of “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” a 1961 song featured in the Disney hit, “The Lion King”[…]
The post drew widespread backlash from Democrats. But the criticism from Scott — a longtime ally of Trump, once viewed as a potential vice presidential candidate, and the only Black Republican in the Senate — is particularly notable

In a statement issued before Scott’s criticism, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed the backlash and said the clip came from a longer video that showed Trump as the Lion King and depicted top Democrats as jungle characters. Among others, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) — all longtime rivals of the president — are shown as an elephant, boar, meerkat and giraffe, respectively

But none of the other Democrats were included in Trump’s post

“This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from the Lion King,” Leavitt said. “Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public”[…]
Speaking to reporters Friday evening, Trump said he sent the video to a staffer to review for posting to his account, but that he only “looked at the first part”

President Donald Trump is involved in planning for a major new monument in Washington, DC: a triumphal arch to commemorate the country’s 250th anniversary, marking his latest effort to impose his style and tastes on the nation’s capital.

Last week, AFP photographer Jim Watson captured images of a pair of three-dimensional models of the proposed arch atop Trump’s desk in the Oval Office as the president met with his Finnish counterpart, President Alexander Stubb. Canadian Minister of Energy Tim Hodgson also posted a photo of Trump showcasing one of the models to a group of Canadian officials. The models were on the president’s desk again on Wednesday as he hosted an event on crime statistics.

At a fundraiser for the White House ballroom expansion on Wednesday night, Trump brought the models out again as he talked about his plans for the new monument.

“It’s going to be really beautiful. I think it’s going to be fantastic,” Trump said as he proceeded to lift up the models for the crowd to see. “There’s a rendering of what it will look like. You have three sizes. That would be the largest one. This is just a model, what it would look like in either of the three, any of the three sizes.”

“Whichever one would look good. I happen to think the large one,” Trump added to laughter. “Why are you shocked?

The watercolor of the proposed stone arch features columns, eagles, wreaths, and a gilded, winged figure. It is similar to France’s Arc de Triomphe.

Asked who the arch was for, the president pointed at himself: “Me.”

In a seeming reversal from his recent promises about increasing affordability, President Donald Trump said during a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, Jan. 29, that his goal is to keep housing prices up to avoid inadvertently benefiting Americans who "didn't work very hard"

"People that own their homes, we're gonna keep them wealthy. We're gonna keep those prices up," he said. "We're not gonna destroy the value of their homes so that somebody who didn't work very hard can buy a home"

Stepping back a bit, he added, "We're gonna make it easier to buy, we're gonna get interest rates down, but I wanna protect the people that, for the first time in their lives, feel good about themselves. They feel like, you know, that they're wealthy people"

Trump then circled back to his plan to increase housing costs: "There's so much talk about, 'Oh, we're gonna drive housing prices down.' I don't wanna drive housing prices down, I wanna drive housing prices up for people that own their homes, and they can be assured that's what's gonna happen"

The president's latest plan comes just weeks after he announced his intention to make housing more affordable, including backing an initiative to ban corporations from being able to purchase single-family homes

President Donald Trump’s suggestion Tuesday that his Board of Peace “might” replace the United Nations is likely to compound concerns that the body meant to oversee the reconstruction of Gaza — and that he will indefinitely chair — will instead become a vehicle for him to attempt to supersede the body established 80 years ago to maintain global peace.

Before Trump’s comments, some diplomats already had myriad concerns over the board’s possible membership and the fact a permanent seat is up for sale at $1 billion.

The White House on Friday announced a “founding Executive Board,” including Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, special envoy Steve Witkoff and former British prime minister Tony Blair.

And according to the charter draft, a copy of which was obtained by CNN, Trump will serve as indefinite chairman of the board, possibly holding the post beyond his second term as president. Trump will be replaced only due to “voluntary resignation or as a result of incapacity, as determined by a unanimous vote of the Executive Board.” A future US president can appoint or designate the US representative to the board in addition to Trump, a US official said.

Although some, such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, have confirmed their participation, others have yet to commit — and some, such as France, have declined.

Russia is among the nations invited to join, raising alarm about how a country actively waging war could be involved in an effort to secure peace. China and Belarus have also been invited.

President Trump said in an interview that he believed civil rights-era protections resulted in white people being “very badly treated,” his strongest indication that the concept of “reverse discrimination” is driving his aggressive crusade against diversity policies

Speaking to The New York Times on Wednesday, Mr. Trump echoed grievances amplified by Vice President JD Vance and other top officials who in recent weeks have urged white men to file federal complaints with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

When asked whether protections that began in the 1960s, spurred by the passage of the Civil Rights Act, had resulted in discrimination against white men, Mr. Trump said he believed “a lot of people were very badly treated”

“White people were very badly treated, where they did extremely well and they were not invited to go into a university to college,” he said, an apparent reference to affirmative action in college admissions. “So I would say in that way, I think it was unfair in certain cases”

He added: “I think it was also, at the same time, it accomplished some very wonderful things, but it also hurt a lot of people — people that deserve to go to a college or deserve to get a job were unable to get a job. So it was, it was a reverse discrimination”

President Donald Trump on Sunday blamed Renee Nicole Macklin Good and her wife, Becca Good for Wednesday’s fatal shooting of Good by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, portraying the 37-year-old Minneapolis mother as “very radical,” “very violent,” and “highly disrespectful” toward law enforcement[…]
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump defended the actions of ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who shot Good three times during a federal immigration operation in Minneapolis on January 7. In his remarks, the president repeatedly cast Good and her wife as agitators whose conduct, he suggested, made the deadly encounter foreseeable. “At a very minimum, that woman was very, very disrespectful to law enforcement,” Trump said, adding that Good and “her friend were highly disrespectful of law enforcement.” He went on to describe them as “professional agitators” and questioned who might be “paying for it”[…]
There is no evidence to support Trump’s claim that Good and her wife were “professional agitators” or that they had been harassing ICE for hours before the shooting. Her family has said she had just dropped her child off at elementary school when the fatal encounter unfolded

In his comments, Trump repeatedly avoided acknowledging that Good was married to a woman, referring to her wife only as “her friend”

White House staff updated the so-called “Presidential Walk of Fame” Wednesday by adding lengthy descriptions of each former president, in rhetoric that aligns with President Donald Trump’s – such as calling former President Joe Biden “the worst President in American History”[…]
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said, “The plaques are eloquently written descriptions of each President and the legacy they left behind. As a student of history, many were written directly by the President himself”

“Sleepy Joe was, by far, the worst President in American History,” the plaque underneath Biden’s portrait, which is an autopen as opposed to his official portrait, reads. “Taking office as a result of the most corrupt Election ever seen in the United States”

As part of Obama’s description, the White House wrote: “As President, he passed the highly ineffective ‘Unaffordable’ Care Act, resulting in his party losing control of both Houses of Congress, and the Election of the largest House Republican majority since 1946”

For former President Bill Clinton, the White House attributed his legislative successes to “Republicans in Congress,” and boasted that Trump terminated the North American Free Trade Agreement, the trade deal struck under Clinton. The White House also included a line about how Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 presidential election in Bill Clinton’s description

However, some former presidents, more aligned with Trump on policies, such as Reagan, receive more of a doting description

For Reagan, the White House wrote: “Known as ‘The Great Communicator,’ he was re-elected in a landslide in 1984, and left office with high approval... He was a fan of President Donald J. Trump long before President Trump’s Historic run for the White House. Likewise, President Trump was a fan of his!”[…]

President Donald Trump unveiled a new “Trump class” of Navy battleships Monday, describing them as a superior war fighting vessel to replace an “old and tired and obsolete” US fleet.

“They’ll help maintain American military supremacy, revive the American ship building industry, and inspire fear in America’s enemies all over the world,” Trump said in revealing the new category of vessel from the library at Mar-a-Lago.

Flanked by renderings of the “Trump class” battleships at sea, Trump said he would take an active role in their design. The president made the announcement Monday afternoon in Florida with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is also national security adviser. He didn’t use the term “Trump class” in his remarks.

The “Trump class” ships will form part of the new “Golden Fleet” that the president has ordered up for the Navy, meant to better counter China and other adversaries and to more closely adhere to Trump’s aesthetic standards.

“The US Navy will lead the design of these ships along with me because I’m a very aesthetic person,” Trump said.

Fitted with “guns and missiles a the highest level,” hypersonic weapons, electric rail guns, cruise missiles and the “most sophisticated lasers in the world,” the new battleships will be the largest ever built, Trump said.

They will each weigh between 30,000 and 40,000 tons, he said, and will be built in the United States. “They’ll be very AI controlled,” he said, without explanation.

Billed as “a roadmap to ensure America remains the greatest and most successful nation in human history and the home of freedom on earth”, the US National Security Strategy makes explicit Washington’s support for Europe’s nationalist far-right parties

The document, with a signed introduction by Trump, says Europe is in economic decline but its “real problems are even deeper”, including “activities of the EU that undermine political liberty and sovereignty, migration policies that are transforming the continent, censorship of free speech and suppression of political opposition … and loss of national identities”

The 33-page exposition of Trump’s “America First” worldview appears to espouse the racist “great replacement” conspiracy theory, saying several countries risk becoming “majority non-European” and Europe faces “the real and stark prospect of civilisational erasure”. It adds: “Should present trends continue, the continent will be unrecognisable in 20 years or less”

US policies must therefore include “cultivating resistance to Europe’s current trajectory within European nations”[…]
In language that will appear extraordinary to close allies, it says the US should “stand up for genuine democracy, freedom of expression and unapologetic celebrations of European nations’ individual character and history”, adding that Washington “encourages its political allies in Europe to promote this revival of spirit”

With far-right parties in government, supporting rightwing coalitions or leading in the polls in several EU member states, the document says the “growing influence of patriotic European parties … gives cause for great optimism”[…]
It claims that a “large European majority” wants peace in Ukraine but that this “is not translated into policy, in large measure because of those governments’ subversion of democratic processes”

Donald Trump casually suggested an increase on anti-Semitic threats and violence could have been faked to "make people look bad", it was reported today.

He made the comments to a meeting of state attorneys general, according to one of the officials present.

There have been more than 30 bomb threats to Jewish centres across the US so far this week.

Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro told a Buzzfeed reporter : "He just said, 'Sometimes it's the reverse, to make people - or make others - look bad.' and he used the word 'reverse' I would say two or three times in his comments".

Shapiro noted the President had also said the threats were "reprehensible" and said he was not sure of the purpose of his comments.

But it's not the first time the President has hinted a "false flag" operation might be underway to discredit his supporters, without offering any evidence.

In a jaw-dropping press conference earlier this month, he suggested his opponents were posing as Trump supporters and making anti-Semitic comments..

He said: "Some of that anger is caused by the other side. They'll do signs, they'll do drawings that are inappropriate. It won't be my people, it'll be people on the other side to anger people like you."

President Donald Trump posted some new videos to Truth Social late Thursday, continuing his tradition of pushing out the most bizarre content ever distributed by a U.S. president. One of the videos was AI-generated and features OMB Director Russ Vought as the Grim Reaper… and President Trump playing a cowbell.

The video, posted around 10:40 p.m. ET, is set to a parody version of Blue Öyster Cult’s 1976 hit song “Don’t Fear the Reaper” and opens with a stormy rendering of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., including figures draped in long black robes.

One of the figures is revealed to be President Trump, hitting a cowbell that doesn’t sync to the music in any way, while another is Russ Vought, the director of the Office of Management and Budget. Vought was a key architect of Project 2025, the conservative plan to gut the federal government, which Trump and his allies tried to pretend wasn’t actually Trump’s plan during the 2024 presidential campaign.

“Now their time has come. Here, the power’s gone,” the song opens with a shot of the Capitol. “Russ Vought is the Reaper. He wields the pen, the funds and the brain.”

The song goes on, describing Democrats as “babies” and showing Vought as the man who will make devastating cuts to the federal workforce. Two sombreros also appear, something that’s become a bit of a meme on the racist right.
(…)
The video posted by Trump appears to have been produced by the Dilley Meme Team, a collective of online video creators founded by Brenden Dilley. The group makes pro-Trump content and dabbles in the promotion of QAnon, the conspiracy theory that Trump and the Republicans are secretly working against a cabal of baby-eating predators in the Democratic Party. Yet this new video doesn’t exactly cast Trump and his allies as the guys coming in to save the day.

In one of his commonplace attacks on the transgender community, Trump refused to cancel a meeting with Democratic lawmakers intended to prevent a possible federal government shutdown, and instead posted a rant on Truth Social blaming the trans community for the budget crisis

According to CNN, Trump was supposed to meet with the Democratic leader on Thursday (25 September). It follows the Senate rejecting a measure passed by the House and another by Democrats to fund the government through 20 November. The Democratic measure included enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies that are set to expire at the end of the year

Trump wrote on Truth Social: “After reviewing the details of the unserious and ridiculous demands being made by the Minority Radical Left Democrats in return for their Votes to keep our thriving Country open, I have decided that no meeting with their Congressional Leaders could possibly be productive. They are threatening to shut down the Government of the United States…”

He went on to list the demands he claimed Democrats have made, including an ask of more than $1 trillion dollars in new spending to “continue free healthcare for Illegal Aliens,” a reference to the ACA subsidies

He also hit out at an alleged claim to “force Taxpayers to fund Transgender surgery for minors,” “allow men to play in women’s sports, and essentially create Transgender operations for everybody”.

Trump went on: “The Democrats in Congress seem to have totally lost their way. They obviously have no idea what it means to put America First or to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

He concluded: “I’ll be happy to meet with them if they agree to the Principles in this Letter. They must do their job! Otherwise, it will just be another long and brutal slog through their radicalized quicksand. To the Leaders of the Democrat Party, the ball is in your court”

Trump says Chicago ‘will find out why it’s called the Department of WAR’ ahead of planned crackdown

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Friday to rebrand the Pentagon as the “Department of War,”

“I think it’s a much more appropriate name, especially in light of where the world is right now. We have the strongest military in the world,” Trump said, before signing the order.

The order authorizes the Secretary of Defense, the Department of Defense and subordinate officials to use secondary titles such as “Secretary of War,” “Department of War,” and “Deputy Secretary of War” in official correspondence, public communications, ceremonial contexts, and non-statutory documents within the executive branch, according to a fact sheet obtained by CNN. And almost immediately, officials began to implement it.

Pentagon officials changed signage outside of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office, and the department’s website got a revamp. The old site, defense.gov, is now rerouted to war.gov which displays “U.S. Department of War” at the top. DOD — the acronym for Department of Defense — is also replaced with DOW for Department of War in various headlines.

Hegseth, who joined the president in the Oval Office, said the name change is “not just about renaming, it’s about restoring.” Hegseth said the military will “go on offense, not just on defense” and, reflected in the name change, the country will “raise up warriors, not just defenders.”

“There has to be something artificially causing this, meaning a drug or something,” Trump said to Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during the meeting. “And I know you’re looking very strongly into the things, and I hope you can come out with that as soon as possible”

Trump was responding to Kennedy’s claim that he knows what is “almost certainly” causing autism

“We’re finding certain interventions now that are clearly, almost certainly causing autism,” Kennedy said. “We’re going to be able to address those in September”

Kennedy, a prolific vaccine skeptic now in charge of the country’s leading health agency, has routinely suggested that the shots cause autism. Researchers have found there is no single cause of autism, but that factors, including genetics, play a role, according to the National Institutes of Health

That hasn’t stopped Kennedy and Trump from continuing to disparage life-saving vaccines. In April, Kennedy baselessly said that the measles vaccine “contains a lot of aborted fetus debris and DNA particles,” even as cases of measles began to rise, hitting more than 1,000 cases by July

President Donald Trump said the Smithsonian museums in Washington are too fixated on "how bad slavery was" and other negative aspects of United States history as he promised to take aim at the "WOKE" elements inside them

Trump's remarks, made in an Aug. 19 social media post on Truth Social, came after he last week launched a review of the Smithsonian Institution and its 21 museums to remove "divisive or partisan" elements and determine whether its materials conformed to the Trump administration's views on teaching history

"The Museums throughout Washington, but all over the Country are, essentially, the last remaining segment of 'WOKE,' " Trump said in his post. "The Smithsonian is OUT OF CONTROL, where everything discussed is how horrible our Country is, how bad Slavery was, and how unaccomplished the downtrodden have been"

Trump added that the Smithsonian museums contain "Nothing about Success, nothing about Brightness, nothing about the Future"

"We are not going to allow this to happen," he said, comparing his review of the Smithsonian Institution to his administration's work to root out diversity, equity and inclusions initiatives from colleges and universities. "This Country cannot be WOKE, because WOKE IS BROKE. We have the 'HOTTEST' Country in the World, and we want people to talk about it, including in our Museums"

[Real] Trump wants teenagers to be considered adults. Pedophile apologist Charlie Kirk agrees. (Trump also wants to seize control of the nation's capitol.)

From Screencap

"Local 'youths' and gang members, some only 14, 15, and 16-years-old, are randomly attacking, mugging, maiming, and shooting innocent Citizens, at the same time knowing that they will be almost immediately released.

They are not afraid of Law Enforcement because they know nothing ever happens to them, but it's going to happen now! The Law in D.C. must be changed to prosecute these 'minors' as adults, and lock them up for a long time, starting at age 14."

This should 100% happen. The out of control crime in DC is a national embarrassment.

President Donald Trump said he's ordered the firing of Erika McEntarfer, the U.S. commissioner of Labor Statistics, accusing her without evidence of manipulating figures for "political purposes" after the Labor Department reported the U.S. added a disappointing 73,000 jobs in July.
Trump on Aug. 1 announced the move in a post on his social media app Truth Social, writing that he was "just informed that our Country’s 'Jobs Numbers' are being produced by a Biden Appointee, Dr. Erika McEntarfer."
"We need accurate Jobs Numbers. I have directed my Team to fire this Biden Political Appointee, IMMEDIATELY. She will be replaced with someone much more competent and qualified," Trump said. "Important numbers like this must be fair and accurate, they can’t be manipulated for political purposes."

Donald Trump Jr. has called the transgender community “the most violent domestic terror threat” in the U.S. and “probably the entire world,” while claiming that suspected right-wing assassin Vance Boelter — who allegedly slaughtered Minnesota’s pro-LGBTQ+ House speaker on Saturday — is actually left-wing. He is echoing right-wing anti-trans smears and conspiracy theories about Boelter that contradict publicly available facts

When discussing Boelter with right-wing podcaster Benny Johnson, Trump Jr. claimed that Boelter allegedly murdered Minnesota’s state House Speaker Melissa Hortman (D) and her husband because “she voted against Democrat Party policy, which was the unabashed unlimited health care funding for illegal immigrants.” There is no proof that Boelter targeted her for her June vote on that issue, as police haven’t released Boelter’s rumored manifesto or revealed his views on that policy

Trump Jr. took this a step further and inexplicably tied Boelter to the trans community, telling Johnson, “It’s like the radical transgender movement is per capita the most violent domestic terror threat, if not in America, probably the entire world … because you have all these shooters and murderers or attempted murderers in such a tiny population”

Donald Trump parroted disinformation about immigration and abortion, questioned Kamala Harris’s race and accused a panel moderator, Rachel Scott – the senior congressional correspondent for ABC News – of being “rude” and presenting a “nasty question” when she asked him: “Why should Black voters trust you?”
[...]
Trump arrived more than an hour late to the panel[...]
The conversation opened with Scott asking why Black voters should trust Trump given his repeated inflammatory comments about Black people.

“Well, first of all, I don’t think I’ve ever been asked a question in such a horrible manner,” Trump said, before asking whether Scott was with “fake news network” ABC News.

Trump added: “I think it’s disgraceful that I came here in good spirit. I love the Black population of this country. I’ve done so much for the Black population of this country … I think it’s a very rude introduction.”

He continued, “I have been the best president for the Black population since Abraham Lincoln,”

He repeated the unsubstantiated claim that undocumented immigrants were planning on taking “Black jobs”,[...]“Anybody that has a job – that’s what it is. They’re taking the employment away from Black people.”

President Trump is making remigration, a racist plan popular among the European far right, a reality, according to Reuters

The State Department on Thursday announced its plans to establish an “Office of Remigration,” assuming it is approved by Congress, on July 1. The term “remigration” is a white supremacist concept pushed by Austrian neo-Nazi Martin Sellner that posits that all immigrants and “non-assimilated citizens” be forcibly removed, with the goal of establishing a white ethnostate

“The Office of Remigration will serve as the [Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration]’s hub for immigration issues and repatriation tracking,” the plan the State Department submitted to Congress reads. “It will provide a policy platform for interagency coordination with DHS and other agencies on removals/repatriations, and for intra-agency policy work to advance the President’s immigration agenda”

This isn’t the first time Trump has floated remigration

“As President I will immediately end the migrant invasion of America,” he wrote on X in September. “We will stop all migrant flights, end all illegal entries, terminate the Kamala phone app for smuggling illegals (CBP One App), revoke deportation immunity, suspend refugee resettlement, and return Kamala’s illegal migrants to their home countries (also known as remigration)”

His deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, another proponent of right-wing white supremacist policy, backed him up

“THE TRUMP PLAN TO END THE INVASION OF SMALL TOWN AMERICA: REMIGRATION!” he wrote at the time

President Trump said Monday he is pardoning Scott Jenkins, a former Virginia sheriff who was convicted of making several businessmen sworn law enforcement officers in exchange for cash bribes.

Former Culpeper County Sheriff Jenkins, 53, was found guilty on fraud and bribery charges and sentenced to 10 years in prison in March. But on Monday, Mr. Trump posted on Truth Social that Jenkins and his family "have been dragged through HELL by a Corrupt and Weaponized Biden DOJ."

"This Sheriff is a victim of an overzealous Biden Department of Justice, and doesn't deserve to spend a single day in jail. He is a wonderful person, who was persecuted by the Radical Left "monsters," and "left for dead," Mr. Trump said in the post. "He will NOT be going to jail tomorrow, but instead will have a wonderful and productive life."

Jenkins was indicted in 2023 on 16 counts. In December, a jury found Jenkins guilty of one count of conspiracy, four counts of honest services fraud and seven counts of bribery. Jenkins appealed his conviction in April.

Federal prosecutors say Jenkins took $75,000 worth of bribes. He allegedly accepted cash and campaign contributions from eight people — including two undercover FBI agents — and in return, gave them badges and made them auxiliary deputy sheriffs, despite not having any training or vetting. He also allegedly pushed officials to restore one bribe-payer's right to possess a gun as a convicted felon.

Jenkins took the stand in his own defense and said there was no connection between the payments he received and the badges he handed out, according to news reports. Testifying against Jenkins were the undercover FBI agents who were sworn in as deputies in 2022 and immediately thereafter gave Jenkins envelopes with $5,000 and $10,000 cash, respectively.

Trump said Jenkins tried to offer evidence in his defense, but U.S. District Judge Robert Ballou, a Biden appointee, "refused to allow it, shut him down, and then went on a tirade."

Acting United States Attorney Zachary T. Lee said at the time that Jenkins violated his oath of office "and this case proves that when those officials use their authority for unjust personal enrichment, the Department of Justice will hold them accountable."

A longstanding Trump supporter, Jenkins is the latest ally of the president to receive a pardon.

President Trump — when asked if he thinks he needs to uphold the Constitution on "Meet the Press with Kristen Welker" — said, "I don't know," but added that his lawyers "are obviously going to follow what the Supreme Court said."

The response came after a series of questions regarding the right to due process for people living in the United States and the Fifth Amendment. During this exchange, Trump said he wants to deport millions of undocumented immigrants — who he called "some of the worst people on Earth."

Donald Trump signed an executive order yesterday establishing a “religious liberty commission” at the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate and present strategies to eliminate “threats to domestic religious liberty.” During his comments on the order, Trump said that he doesn’t know if there’s a separation of church and state and that we should “forget about that for one time.”

The executive order says that religious liberty is being violated by “discrimination or hostility from the Government” towards people who are just trying to “practice their faith.” It says that some of these attacks have included ones that “infringe upon longstanding conscience protections, prevent parents from sending their children to religious schools, threaten loss of funding or denial of non-profit tax status for faith-based entities, and single out religious groups and institutions for exclusion from governmental programs”[…]
Trump spoke at a White House Rose Garden event about how the real problem is the idea that the U.S. has a separation of church and state, promising to bring “religion back to our country”

“They say separation between church and state … I said, ‘All right, let’s forget about that for one time,’” he said, according to Politico

“They said, really there’s separation. I don’t know. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I’m not sure, but whether there’s separation or not, you guys are in the White House where you should be, and you’re representing our country, and we’re bringing religion back to our country, and it’s a big deal”

Trump has been leaning into Christianity in his second term, going so far as to establish a White House Faith Office led by a televangelist who promises to send people angels if they pay her $1,000. During the campaign, Trump claimed to have been anointed by God
