The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF)[…]told Middle East Eye on Tuesday that it had received more than 200[…]complaints from personnel serving in the army, navy, air force, marine corps, and space force.

The complaints received by the MRFF, first reported by journalist Jonathan Larsen, have come from more than 40 units and span at least 30 military installations[…]
One combat unit commander told non-commissioned officers (NCOs) at a briefing on Monday that the Israeli-US attacks on Iran are part of God’s "plan" and that US President Donald Trump was “anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth”.

A US NCO who wrote to the MRFF said their commander had told them the war with Iran was “all part of God’s divine plan”. The commander referred repeatedly to the Bible’s Book of Revelation and to Armageddon, the story about the battle between good and evil[…]
The commander is quoted by the NCO as saying: “President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth”

“He had a big grin on his face when he said all of this, which made his message seem even more crazy,” the NCO wrote in his complaint. “Our commander would probably be described as a ‘Christian First’ supporter. He has been this way for a very long time and makes it clear that he desires all of us under him to become just like him as a Christian”

The biggest news story of the last two weeks isn't the limited release of the Epstein files, it's the Guthrie kidnapping.

Savannah Guthrie, whose mother was allegedly kidnapped, and Guthrie's husband, Michael Feldman, are both named in the Epstein files.

Savannah Guthrie was named in Wikileaks for collaborating with Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. In other words, though she claimed to be an independent journalist, she was shuttling debate questions to Hillary and otherwise assisting the campaign.

By the way, whenever a kidnapping occurs, all of the family members are given an immediate lie detector test. We're weeks into this case and no family members have been given a test.

Savannah Guthrie wrote in her book that she was obsessed with kidnappings as a child, and that her mother often went along with Savannah in staging fake kidnappings.

The local sheriff, who looks shady as shady can be, now says it's going to take years to solve the case and find the body.

President Donald Trump’s suggestion Tuesday that his Board of Peace “might” replace the United Nations is likely to compound concerns that the body meant to oversee the reconstruction of Gaza — and that he will indefinitely chair — will instead become a vehicle for him to attempt to supersede the body established 80 years ago to maintain global peace.

Before Trump’s comments, some diplomats already had myriad concerns over the board’s possible membership and the fact a permanent seat is up for sale at $1 billion.

President Donald Trump unveiled a new “Trump class” of Navy battleships Monday, describing them as a superior war fighting vessel to replace an “old and tired and obsolete” US fleet.

“They’ll help maintain American military supremacy, revive the American ship building industry, and inspire fear in America’s enemies all over the world,” Trump said in revealing the new category of vessel from the library at Mar-a-Lago.

Flanked by renderings of the “Trump class” battleships at sea, Trump said he would take an active role in their design. There is a reason that the Founders created institutional gridlock. Because they knew if they created these institutional gridlocks, it would force Americans to choose a king, a strong man, when the system broke down and they would all get what they secretly wanted from the beginning: a monarchy.

A man that could rise above the institutions — the Congress, the Supreme Court, the Senate — and could take the wheel and save a nation from democracy. The separation of powers, checks and balances, federalism, all of that creates paralysis in normal times.
